"Hulky The Pooh Doesn't Know What To Do.." - Marvel Characters In The Vein of Winnie the Pooh by CP Wilson III
Reddit is a treasure trove. A literal treasure trove of cool things to post. Take these extraordinary original pieces from artist CP Wilson III. He decided to channel E.H. Shepard's style of art that made Winnie the Pooh a household recognized character and use it to bring certain Marvel characters to life. He has the Hulk playing the role of Pooh, and the rest of the Marvel catalog as supporting Pooh characters. I love the way he taps into some of the more obscure Marvel story lines (Planet Hulk, Future Imperfect, etc) and delivers some great renditions. What a great mash up. Wilson III is currently the illustrator of Wraith for IDW, and his traditional works are pretty spectacular as well. But these are a great side project for him, and he is on to something. You can check out all of the stuff Wilson III has to offer on his Deviant Art page. Thanks to Joe Fletch for another killer find...

Marvel Robots by Keanu 432
The robot has been becoming more and more prevalent in pop culture. Yup, everything has its way around. Vampires were hot about 5 years ago, then zombies. It is the robots time to shine. Pacific Rim, Transformers 4, Almost Human... yeah, its time for the robot overkill. Enter artist Keanu 432, who decided to re-imagine some of the classic Marvel characters as if they were robots. You certainly get the feel that this is how they would look if they were robot like beings. These are quite good, and he has other cool stuff over at his Imgur page. Check out the Marvel Robots after the jump...

The Walking Dead Mid-Season Finale & It's Comic Counterparts... In GIF Form!
Ahhh... the magic of the Internet! What a great tool, especially for people who like to dot their I's and cross their T's as much as I do! Having read The Walking Dead comics and being an avid fan of the TV show I love the little differences and substitutions between the two. Things that happen to certain characters are swapped, story lines are co-mingled, and the overall narrative tends to blur from time to time.... but no matter what, the gist of the original story is conveyed and the show always circles back to the books origins. I am always interested to see when and where the writers on the show will come back to the original narrative when they deviate... especially since the creator/writer Robert Kirkman is so closely associated with the shows journey. Thanks to the good old folks at Reddit (and its original source location), we can give people who didn't read the original books a glimpse at where the original ideas for some key moments in this seasons mid-season finale started out from. Check out these 8 GIF images after the jump...

The Elizabeth Arkham Asylum For The Criminally Insane - Lego Style
There are custom Lego builds... and then there are CUSTOM LEGO BUILDS. Xenomurphy is a Lego builder who has just completed one of the second ones, a Lego build that is about as epic as it could be. He has spent the last year completing a huge Lego build of the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane of Batman fame, complete with a courtyard and interiors that bring the building from the Batman mythos to life! Yup, a whole year... and not only did he dedicate himself to the epic build, he has provided the world with a free 80 page guidebook on how to replicate the build brick by brick!!!! That is right, you can build your own incredibly detailed Arkham Asylum, thanks to Xenomurphy's meticulous documentation. The pictures of this build don't do it justice, and the sheer fact that the build guidebook is 80 pages gives you a glimpse of just how much work went into it. You can see Xenomurphy's Flickr photostream with all the photos of the build by clicking here, and you can download the full 80 page build guide in PDF format by clicking here. Great work... check out a few images after the jump...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe Thus Far by One Man Sidekick
One Man Sidekick is a graphic artist who loves that Marvel Cinematic Universe. He decided to show his love for the excellent work that Marvel is doing on the big screen by compiling some pieces of all the major characters from each film, giving them all the proper shine they deserve. These are absolutely great, given the fact that he is using stock images of the characters. The way he arranges them and makes them play off each other, and also chooses specific versions of each character to bring his pieces to life. Check them all out after the jump... he even has a Thor 2: The Dark World one in there, so that he is right up to date!!!

Horror Hottie Alert: Lauren Cohen (Maggie of The Walking Dead) Sexy Black & White Pics
God, you gotta love Reddit! My main man Joe Fletch has been sending me thousands (ok, maybe not thousands... like high hundreds) of links to various Reddit threads sharing all types of cool stuff, but the ones that catch my attention are usually the ones featuring some hot chicks. Recently he uncovered three threads linking back to the Walking Dead Imgur page featuring actress Lauren Cohen, who portrays Maggie on the show, posing scantily clad and sexy in Black & White photographs. Now that is reason alone to share in a post... but the actual sexiness that she is exuding in these pics made it a must share. Enjoy your Halloween boner courtesy of Maggie and the good folks over here at CCD... doing God's work since 2010!!! Pics after the jump...

DC Comics '75 Years of Superman' Suit Display at the 2013 NY Comic Con
DC Comics marquee character over the last century has been Superman. I love Batman as much as the next guy, but Supes is the main dude over at DC. So in order to honor 75 years of Superman at this years NY Comic Con, DC set up an awesome display of all the costumes that he has worn throughout the history of the beloved character. Now I don't even really like Superman all that much (like I said, I'm a Batman guy..) but this display was very cool to admire. Check out all the detailed pics that Joe Fletch took after the jump. Here is to another 75 more years!!!!

New York Comic Con 2013 - Great Pictures from the Show Floor
The show floor at the 2013 NY Comic Con was epic... all the construction on the Javits Convention Center is done, and the flow of the floor was at an all time high. The new badge system and spreading of the Comic Con event throughout the WHOLE building made the floor much more manageable to navigate. Once again, the displays didn't disappoint and there was a lot to see. All of us amateur photogs affiliated with CCD decided to share our floor pics with you guys that couldn't be there to see what was hot. what we enjoyed and what you missed out on. Hope you enjoy the pics...
The CCD Crew at the 2013 New York Comic Con - A Retrospective In Pics
We here at CCD are definitely leading a charmed life. We started this little blog about 4 years ago (closer to 5 I think... maybe) with one thing in mind: share cool stuff with our friends (and anybody else who may want to check it out!). Who would have thought that the articles we put up and various projects we became a part of would lead to us getting press passes 4 years running at NY Comic Con, and us meeting and interviewing tons of of our favorite people (World War Z author Max Brooks, V for Vendetta artist David Lloyd, Comic greats Chris Claremont and Neal Adams, the cast of The Human Centipede, physical actor extraordinaire Doug Jones, actor Dan Fogler... just to name a few). But this year we really went all out and good friend and contributor Tommy Lombardozzi and I procured a booth in Artists Alley. We sold Tommy's and Sean Hartter's prints, and had another great year of fun. But this year our photographer genius (and overall genius) Joe Fletch grabbed some very candid shots of us behind the scenes, having a great time. These are all funny in their own way, and so I decided to post them up to show you guys just how much fun we really have. This site takes up a ton of my time, but I do get to reap the benefits. This is proof. Enjoy the pics...

New York Comic Con 2013 - Day 1 Cosplay
Hey gang... it's about that time of the year again! The 2013 NY Comic Con has come and gone, and we are here to share all of the cool shit that we saw from the four days on the show room floor... especially the crazy COSPLAY!!!!! People went all out this year, even on Thursday (which is press day & 4 day pass only day). People are less likely to dress up on Thursday... but this year there were still many excellent costumes to start the show off right. These pics are a mix of Joe Fletch, Mike D, and others images... so thanks to all those who helped cover the con for CCD. Enjoy Thursdays pics after the jump... and check back tomorrow for Day 2!!!

The Best Cosplay From The 2013 Philly Wizard World Comic Con
One of the coolest parts about comic cons has to be the Cosplay. People are dressing up more and more, and the costumes are getting way more detailed and intricate. There is a whole cottage industry wrapped around selling costume components and accessories, and even photographing cosplayers professionally. But in the end it comes down to your favorite fictional comic characters being brought to life right in front of your eyes. So here are about 60 pics that I took from my day over at the 2013 Philly Wizard World Comic Con. Now I must preface this by saying that I am not as great a photographer as Joe Fletch (our resident con photographer was on the disabled list with a knee injury) and I was also in the company of a 10 year old who I had to keep an eye on. So I did the best I could. These cosplayers really did their thing, so I gotta show them some love. Hope you enjoy them all...

Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate Of Two Worlds Fanart by Steamboy 33
I have many fantastic memories of playing Marvel vs Capcom & Marvel vs Capcom 2 with my good buddy Joe Fletch over the years. The highlights definitely coming during the year we lived together at Manhattan College, where we played the Dreamcast version of the game on giant arcade controllers. More often than not (ok, ok... always) Fletch handed me my ass. Repeatedly. But the really cool thing about it all was that because Fletch was so fucking fantastic he made me pretty decent. To this day I can't pass by a MvsC2 machine and not pump a few quarters in. So I was really excited to see Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds get a release... but unfortunately I have never played it. But it doesn't mean I can't admire some awesome digital fan art from Deviant Artist Steamboy 33 featuring all the characters from the game. Marvel guys. Capcom guys. All of 'em! Thanks to Fletch for tossing these my way. Maybe it is time for me to grab this game and start some new memories with my son. Check out the pics after the jump...

More From 2012 NYC Comic Con: An Interview With Rey Arzeno From Artist Alley
The 2012 NYC Comic Con was one of the greatest experiences that we here at CCD ever had. Lock, Jeff, Tommy, Joe Fletch & I had a fantastic time utilizing our press passes to conduct some really great interviews and meet some really talented people like we were some sort of bigshots. We clearly are not, but those little plastic badges go a long way in getting you a certain access. We shot some great footage, and began to share those videos shortly after the show this past October. unfortunately, due to the after effects of Hurricane Sandy here in NY we had to put the editing of those videos on hold for a bit. But now Joe Fletch is back in the editing groove and you guys are in for a few late treats. First up is a very cool interview with a talented artist by the name of Rey Arzeno. Rey is kinda of cool case, because before the Con I had put a few of his pieces of art here on CCD. But in my description of his art I made a mistake identifying one of the characters. Rey cleared that up for us in the comment section (hehe... that was a funny day!) and I quickly made the correction. But when I saw his name on the list of artists over at Artists Alley for the 2012 NYC Comic Con I had to walk over and introduce myself. Rey was very happy to meet us face to face, and gave us the go ahead to film a interview with him highlighting his work and providing us with an insight into how he lives his life as an artist. He also discussed some fantastic points about the roles of minority & homosexual characters in comics (his Marvel pride piece highlights the homosexual characters in Marvel Comics), what his motivations for working with certain subject areas are, and just how ahead of their time the X-Men were as being the group of different individuals in the world of comics. A great artist with some wonderful conversation... it is exactly why we do the interviews from the floor of the Con. You can see more of Rey's work by clicking here, and check out the full video after the jump to hear all that Rey has to say...

'I Found Your Box!!!!' - Legolas
I love me some Lego action videos, and this cool ass video from the Brothehood Workshop is certainly no exception. Thanks to my man Joe Fletch for sending this one to me. In the wake of my recent Hobbit viewing, it is nice to take a trip back to Lord of the Rings and the Battle of Helm's Deep. Gotta love the comedy and cameos that the guys added to this one to make it even geekier. Great stuff all around. Check out the video after the jump...

It's Action Figure Nativity Time Over At Lair of the Dark Horde... Vote Now!!!!
Lair of the Dork Horde is a very cool toy blog that makes me very happy when I look at its featured toys. Reis does a great job bringing his love for toys to the forefront. Every Christmas Reis posted pictures of an Action Figure Nativity constructed of various toys in honor of the holiday season. But this year he decided to open up a contest to his readers to construct their own.... and vote for the best one! Joe Fletch sent me this link and I just had to share. Voting takes place from today through December 26th. Click here to view this years entries and vote now. Also click after the jump to see Reis's own entries from the last four years. They are pretty bad ass on in their own right.

Damn You Sandy!!!!
Well it has certainly be a rough week and a half for us over here in NYC. The scumbag frankenstorm known as Sandy hit NYC hard and left some people in some really bad situations. Staten Island got hit really hard. Coney Island got wiped out. My old neighborhood of Howard Beach, Queens has been decimated. CCD contributor Tommy Lombardozzi lost everything when he was flooded with over 4 feet of water in his apartment (Buy some of his artwork here to help him out a bit!). My good friend Joe Esq got hit across the board, with his home getting a ton of water damage as well as both his Mom & Dad's house getting destroyed. There is no gas. Anywhere. Here it is over a week later and my parents still have no electricity in Long Island. My main man Joe Fletch is sharing his brother in Laws 1 Bedroom condo with his wife and three kids cause he has no power in Long Island. Everything is fucked. Luckily I made it through the storm storm OK. My house never lost power, we got no water... I am really lucky. Same for my man Lock & Jeff Bond. Most of the people I know weren't. I will be putting together a fundraiser in the future, but for now if any of you guys can donate some money to The Red Cross or City Harvest. These organizations are doing alot in NYC right now. Sorry we were gone for a few days. But we are back. CCD can't be held down by a stupid ass storm. Take it light people...

2012 NY Comic Con - Day #4 In Pictures (10/14/12)
Sunday, the fourth day of Comic Con, is free children day. What does that mean? Well, for one thing there are a hell of a lot more bodies in the building. Yeah, they may be little bodies, but because adults need to mind them everybody moves a tad bit slower. But one of the benefits of this day is you see some really cool group cosplay and kiddie cosplay, and that makes for a refreshing breath of frsh air compared to the sex filled costumes of the first three days. How many cleavage baring Catwoman costumes can one person take? (Alot... give me mucho Catwomen!!!!!) Our own Joe Fletch brought his son Brendan to the show, so my main man Tommy Lombardozzi took some great shots as well to combine with Joe's for your Day 4 offering. Hell of a way to close the show!!!!

The I LUG NY Lego Display From the 2012 NY Comic Con Will Blow Your Mind....
When Tommy, Joe Fletch and I stumbled upon the autograph hall in the basement of the Javitz Center on Day #1 of Comic Con, we found a pleasant surprise. Nestled among the aisles set up to usher fans towards their pop culture icons for autographs was an insane display of Lego's unlike anything I had ever seen. Now I have seen many of the life size 'Statues' made out of Lego on display at various Toys R Us stores and even at the Lego Booth on the main floor of the con (see our picture sets posts)... those are pretty cool! But those were nothing compared to the layout put forth by I LUG NY. I Lug NY stands for Lego Users Group and these guys are no f'n joke... they set up a massive three sided display featuring recreations of tons of scenes from Pop Culture & comics. The attack on Mordor & The Shire from Lord of the Rings, The headquarters of the Legion of Doom & the Hall of Justice from Super Friends, The clock tower from Back to the Future, The portal from The Avengers, The X Mansion (complete with Blackbird coming out of the Basketball court), The Tardis floating about, The Death Star Trench scene & Hoth from Star War... the display was downright amazing. Click after the jump for detailed photos and a cool video shot by Joe Fletch that does this impressive display little justice due to how awesome it really was....
