Our web designer and all around Asian Sensation Lockheed Lee is multi-talented, way beyond his skills at making this page look great. He is an artistic talent as well, and he has a hand in designing some really cool shirts for Filthtee. In celebration of Ink-Tober (a month long drawing contest where people must draw a new image every day using ink) Lock and the Filthtee gang have been posting their awesome pics on Facebook & Instagram, and they are giving the originals away. I was lucky to bag one of Lock's Bane sketches, and it is great. So when he finished the month up with Jason Vorhees (and an awesome one at that), I new we had to feature it for Halloween. Make sure you check out all their stuff over at the Filthtee Facebook page, the Instagram page, their Twitter page, and the Filthtee website itself. happy Halloween from Lock & The Filthtee Family. Enjoy the Jason after the jump...

CCD Had It's First Art Show... And It Was A Perfect Way To Kick Off All Horror Week For 2014!!!
Wow... it came fast, and it went just as quick!!! CCD planned it's first ever art show... and boy was it a doozy! Monsters, Maniacs and Mayhem: A Black & White Tribute To The Golden Age of Universal Horror Films saw us pick 15 of the greatest Universal Horror movies of the 30s, 40s, and 50s and ask some of our most artistic friends to do their best rendition of the characters. The result? 14 amazing pieces (one artist, who shall remain nameless CHRIS, did not get his piece done in time) that came out insanely good!!! All the classics are represented, as well as some lesser known characters. We worked with some close friends of the CCD family (Tommy Lombardozzi, Lockheed Lee, and Joey Esq) as well as some new ones (Liza Biggers, Erle Tompkins, and Al Accettura)... but there was one thing that all the artists had in common: All the pieces were AMAZING!!!! We even got a show poster courtesy of Sean 'Create Ink' Hamilton, of the legendary League of Geekz podcast! Best part of the whole night was that 9 out of the 14 original pieces sold!!! An overall successful night, the first of many to come from this new group of artists down with the CCD Fam. Thanks to the Irish Haven, all the artists involved, and all that helped out with this great event. We will have many more art shows to come in the future. Check out all 14 pieces after the jump... prints are available (8x10s for $10 bucks) for those who are interested!

This Was So Dope... The CCD Podcast Live At St. Mark's Comics Via Their Twitter Feed!!!
So apparently the gang from St. Mark's Comics was live tweeting our appearance at the store in which we kicked of NY Super Week by doing a live episode of the CCD Podcast. It was a great experience, and boy we had a lot of fun! It was really fantastic, and Mitch & the lovely ladies of St. Marks did a great job capturing the experience and live tweeting it. So check out the embedded tweets after the jump... hopefully you can enjoy it through pictures as much as we did!!!

The 4th Annual 'All Horror Week' Is Back On CCD!!!!! October 28th - November 1st
It's that time of year again folks.... ALL HORROR WEEK IS BACK ON CCD!!!! For this years installment, our 4th edition, we plan on bringing you a full week of posts consisting of only horror topics in honor of Halloween. As a huge fan of the horror genre, I enjoy this kind of stuff all year round... but I think we should take a full week to highlight just how awesome it can be and show some love! This year we got a really cool banner featuring the General Mills cereal monsters from Lockheed Lee, five new pieces of art from Tommy Lombardozzi, short films, collectibles, posters and art, and all types of other horror goodies to help you celebrate the season. So stay tuned this whole week as we move through another edition of CCD's ALL HORROR WEEK in all it's glory. You can check out Lockheed's banner at the top of the page all week....

The CCD Crew at the 2013 New York Comic Con - A Retrospective In Pics
We here at CCD are definitely leading a charmed life. We started this little blog about 4 years ago (closer to 5 I think... maybe) with one thing in mind: share cool stuff with our friends (and anybody else who may want to check it out!). Who would have thought that the articles we put up and various projects we became a part of would lead to us getting press passes 4 years running at NY Comic Con, and us meeting and interviewing tons of of our favorite people (World War Z author Max Brooks, V for Vendetta artist David Lloyd, Comic greats Chris Claremont and Neal Adams, the cast of The Human Centipede, physical actor extraordinaire Doug Jones, actor Dan Fogler... just to name a few). But this year we really went all out and good friend and contributor Tommy Lombardozzi and I procured a booth in Artists Alley. We sold Tommy's and Sean Hartter's prints, and had another great year of fun. But this year our photographer genius (and overall genius) Joe Fletch grabbed some very candid shots of us behind the scenes, having a great time. These are all funny in their own way, and so I decided to post them up to show you guys just how much fun we really have. This site takes up a ton of my time, but I do get to reap the benefits. This is proof. Enjoy the pics...

Bad Motherfucker by Biting Elbows
Music videos are a dying industry. They basically are still being made, but don't really have a home because channels like MTV spend more time showing Teen Mom rather than actual music videos. But viral videos are all the rage, so what if a music video is shot and posted on things like Vimeo/Youtube/Tumblr and promoted like a film short? That will get it out in the world, shared on Facebook, and viewed by people. That will also promote the original song, which was the whole purpose for making a music video in the first place... right? I don't know, but if the end result is the crazy GoPro shot video in the vein of Crank, then I am fine with it. Check out the newest video from Biting Elbows, courtesy of my boy Lockheed Lee over at Facebook. Very cool indeed, even if nobody is making music videos like these anymore... Check it out after the jump...

Zombies...RUN! Good Guys Finish Last.
This past weekend on October 22nd, my friend Charles Vassallo (aka Jazz) and I particapated in the first ever Run For Your Lives race in Baltimore. What is Run For Your Lives? It's an apocalyptic 5k race with rough torrain and 12 man-made obstacles, on top of that... you have a horde of "Zombies " chasing you and trying to eat your brains. Well not real zombies of course, but a bunch of volunteers dressed in full zombie make-up and clothing. Also not really eating your brains, but the zombies try to steal your life lines (3 flags). The object of this race is to survive and get through the obstacle course alive with a life line. Just imagine, flag football and a mix of 'American Gladiators' obstacles and zombies. Oh yeah... only downfall of this race, you can't fight off the horde. So any physical contact with a zombie, you are immediately eliminated from the race.
