Lockheed Lee & The Filthtee Crew End Inktober With A Bang...

Our web designer and all around Asian Sensation Lockheed Lee is multi-talented, way beyond his skills at making this page look great. He is an artistic talent as well, and he has a hand in designing some really cool shirts for Filthtee. In celebration of Ink-Tober (a month long drawing contest where people must draw a new image every day using ink) Lock and the Filthtee gang have been posting their awesome pics on Facebook & Instagram, and they are giving the originals away. I was lucky to bag one of Lock's Bane sketches, and it is great. So when he finished the month up with Jason Vorhees (and an awesome one at that), I new we had to feature it for Halloween. Make sure you check out all their stuff over at the Filthtee Facebook page, the Instagram page, their Twitter page, and the Filthtee website itself. happy Halloween from Lock & The Filthtee Family. Enjoy the Jason after the jump...

Denis Medri Takes The JLA Back To The Wild, Wild West

We have featured many artists here on CCD over the last few years, and it is always nice to come across one a bit down the road still doing great work. Denis Medri was featured here on CCD last August for his Star Wars High sketches, and now he is back with his take on the JLA. Medri decided to take these DC Comic mainstays on a trip down the ole trail, as he has re-imagined them in a style of the Old West. I like the distinct western characteristics he gave each of the original seven (plus Green Arrow), but I have to say that Martian Manhunter's mustache and Aquaman's spear are two of my favorite details. Batman is still king... no matter what! Check all of them out after the jump...

Ref Jeff: Mic Up!!!!

I am a big fan of Nick Kroll, as his character on The League may be one of the sleaziest and coolest characters on the boob tube ever. But his funniest work has come from his new sketch comedy show, The Kroll Show. The show airs on Comedy Central and has some killer skits, but so far my favorite has to be Mic'd Up with Ref Jeff. In the skit the TV production company behind an NBA game decides to mic up one of the referees instead of a player, and stuff gets interesting. He is out of control once he becomes the focus of the broadcast. Very, very funniest stuff. Check out the show on Comedy Central and the clip of Ref Jeff after the jump....

The Batman vs The Joker by Jim Lee

I follow a ton of people on Twitter (click here and follow us!), but recently I have become bored with the social media app. To many people are not really using the system for the purposes that it can be used for. But every once in a blue I see something great published by someone, and it restores my hope in the service. Jim Lee, artist extraordinaire  Dc Comics co-publisher, recently tweeted out a killer sketch of The Batman fighting his arch nemesis The Joker. It is captioned that it is a 'Christmas piece for a good cause' and I am pretty sure that lee did it himself, although since there is very little info on the post I can't be sure. I am also a huge sucker for black & white pieces, so there is that. I always liked the way Lee drew Batman, and it does seem to be in his style. Follow Lee on Twitter by clicking here. thanks for restoring the faith for me Jim! Enjoy the piece after the jump...

I Have A New Obsession... Katie Willert!!!

I have been all over Cracked.com over the past few weeks watching After Hours, a very cool Net show that features the lovely Katie Willert. She is not some knock out, but this chick has something about her and her geek chic look, and I love her. Not to mention she has some serious boobies on her. She has a great delivery and has her own funny ass show called 'The Katie Willert Experience' on Cracked that I am starting to get through and one of the funniest sketches is 'What If White House Press Briefings Were Honest'. I have included after the jump for your viewing pleasure. My only hope is that she is in a bikini or bra in one of these videos I have not seen yet... we shall see!!!!

The 1st Ever TMNT Sketch Fetches $71,000 At Auction

I have always been a huge fan of the original black & white drawings of Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was dismayed when I went by my local comic shop (Excalibur Comics on 20th ave in BK, whatup!!!) and saw that Malibu Comics has released a FULL COLOR reprint version of the 1st issue. It takes away from the original B&W styling that I know lots of true Turtle fans hold very dear. So when I came across the story about the 1st ever sketch of the Turtles by their creators being sold at auction for $71,000. Check out the sketch and explanation of how it all happened way back in 1983 after the jump...

Scott Pilgrim & Ramona As Link & Zelda by Bryan Lee O'Malley

There is no denying how great Bryan Lee O'malley's Scott Pilgrim books are. I for one have been a huge fan ever since the first time I opened a page in those little black & white graphic novels. To me it has always been the distinctive style of art that O'Malley has put forward with the series that makes it so special. So somebody posted a sketch done by O'Malley back at Hero Con 2008 that depicted Scott & Ramona as Link and Zelda, and boy does this look great. Check after the jump for the full size pic...
