Frightening Home Goods by Horror Decor

Halloween makes the month of October an acceptable time to decorate your home with blood streaked and stained items and monsters A-OK. Nobody will ever look at you sideways for your Frankenstein pot holders or Creature From the Black Lagoon shower curtain... you will be revered for it. But what if you wanted to kick up your horror house decor to the next level? Well, say no more... just bounce over to the Horror Decor website! My all time favorite product that they offer has to be their VHS pillow, and oversized pillow that is shaped like a old VHS tape. But that is not what makes it so cool... the fact that it has a Velcro strip in the middle that allows you to attach specific movie labels (also made by Horror Decor, and only $5 bucks a game) to the pillow!!! The 4th Annual 'All Horror Week' Is Back On CCD!!!!! October 28th - November 1st

It's that time of year again folks.... ALL HORROR WEEK IS BACK ON CCD!!!! For this years installment, our 4th edition, we plan on bringing you a full week of posts consisting of only horror topics in honor of Halloween. As a huge fan of the horror genre, I enjoy this kind of stuff all year round... but I think we should take a full week to highlight just how awesome it can be and show some love! This year we got a really cool banner featuring the General Mills cereal monsters from Lockheed Lee, five new pieces of art from Tommy Lombardozzi, short films, collectibles, posters and art, and all types of other horror goodies to help you celebrate the season. Cereal Monsters by Phil Postma

I have been featuring a bunch of Phil Postma's art here on CCD, and I must make a disclosure. I do not know the man, and I have no hidden agenda when sharing his stuff. I do not make any money, and not using the posts to curry good favor from Phil, and don't know if any benefit will ever come of them. But I know one thing: The more I look through Postma's back catalog, the more unbelievable shit that I come across that I feel like I just have to share!!!! Take his Cereal Monsters collection for example. He did the 5 classic REAL cereal monsters (Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Boo Berry, Frute Brute, and Yummy Mummy), but he also added 7 of his own cereal creations that are just fantastic. You know how you know that they are good? Because not only id the art fantastic, but I actually would want to eat these fictional cereals! Check out all 12 after the jump....

Breakfast Cereal Monsters by Lee Howard

While I consider myself to be a huge fan of the horror genre, I will gladly differ to my main man Johnny Boots from over at Freddy In Space when it comes to discovering horror related cool shit on the Internet. The guy just has a great knack for this sort of stuff, and he is always featuring cool things and running giveaways on his awesome blog. One of the most recent finds of his is a series of drawings called "Breakfast Cereal Monsters" by artist Lee Howard, which features some of our most beloved breakfast cereal iconic logos turned into horrifying monsters. I know Tony the Tiger or the Monster Cereal (Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Boo Berry) guys are easy to imagine as monsters... but the Rice Krispie elves? Toucan Sam? The Trix Rabbit? Wow... wow!!!
