The Raid 2: Berandal Is Tearing Up Up Sundance Right Now...
Gareth Evans had a hit in hiding on his hands when he made a little film by the name of The Raid: Redemption a few years back. The Indonesian action flick took the world by storm, and became one of those must watch insane fighting movies that people who don't even like the genre can even sit through. At its heart The Raid: Redemption was a much bigger story and Evans was forced to shrink it down in scale in order to get it properly funded and filmed. That original large encompassing story took the main character, Rama, undercover in a giant group of Berandal (Indonesian for Thugs) criminals. He is tasked with infiltrating the group and then taking down from the inside. So with a bit of maneuvering, Evans has converted his original undercover cop story into a sequel to the events of the first film. Having survived the daring raid on the apartment building in Redemption, Rama is back at it and ready to take down the next group of challengers. As you can expect, mayhem and insane fighting ensue. The second film is currently setting Sundance on fire and is easily one of the most anticipated foreign films of the upcoming year. Sony is betting big on the popularity of the Raid franchise, not only releasing this film (probably to be titled The Raid: Retaliation here in the states) but also agreeing to make a third as well. There have been two trailers that have hit the Net, first a 2:34 second maxi trailer and then a shorter but much bloodier Red Band Trailer. Both can be seen after the jump. The Raid: Berandal is due in theaters on March 28th, 2014.

'Neighbors' Looks Pretty Fucking Hilarious...
Last night I watched the roast of James Franco on Comedy Central and I was in my glory, watching some of the brightest minds in comedy right now (and Jeffrey Ross) take pot shots at ole Dicknose himself. Leading the charge as Roastmaster was Seth Rogen, a guy that I have loved since Freaks & Geeks. Rogen has been in some of my favorite movies, including Knocked Up, which happens to be my wife and I's first favorite film as a couple. I always anticipate whatever Rogen has in the pipeline, and I have stuck bye him through the good (Observe and Report) and the not so good (The Green Hornet... which I like by the way!). His newest project is an interesting one... Rogen is taking a turn towards more adult roles while maintaining his comedic cred. 'Neighbors' sees Rogen playing a grown, married man (married to fine ass Rose Byrne) who is trying to raise his infant daughter in the quite suburbs of Everywhereville. He is living the dream... that is until a frat moves into the house next door to him. Then what starts out as some innocent shenanigans and college pranks turns into a full on assault on good morals, and Rogen decides to fight back. The only problem with that is the frat is about to let some 30 something year old dick ruin their fun... so they rally behind their leader (Zac Efron) and decide to fight back. Let the prank war begin!!! This one looks pretty great. Will you be checking it out? Let us know in the comment section below... Check out the red band trailer after the jump.

'This Is The End' Red Band Trailer - "Hermoine Just Stole All Our Shit..."
I have been eagerly waiting for This Is The End, the mock "real" alien invasion movie featuring James Franco, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jay Burcel, and Craig Robinson as themselves dealing with teh aftermath of an alien attack. The more promotional materials that are released the more I want to see it. But the latest red band trailer shows that the big 5 comedians that I just mentioned are busting out all their comedic genius friends for guest starring roles... In this new red band clip we get: Michael Cera, Chistopher Mintz-Plasse, Mindy Kaitling, Aziz Ansari, Kevin Hart, Jason Segal, and Rhianna. We also get a shot of Hermoine, aka Emma Watson, all grown up and showing Seth Rogen what kind of damage an axe handle can do. This trailer is out of control, and the movie seems to be absolutely wild. I for one can't wait to see how it all plays out. The film comes out June 12th, 2013... but for now enjoy the red band trailer after the jump...

Kick Ass 2: Red Band Trailer - "Yeah... There Is A Dog On Your Balls"
There are not many movies I am as excited for as I am for Kick Ass 2. One of the greatest comic book series of all times was translated into a killer first film, and if the books hold true than part 2 stands to be an even crazier thrill ride. Sure Big Daddy is gone, but now we get Colonel Stars & the Justice Forever team... and I honestly can't wait to watch the Red Mist turn into The Motherfucker and lead his own team of super villains, the Toxic Mega Cunts... yup, those are all real character names from this crazy ass book! The movie comes out on June 28th, and is immediately on my list of must see summer movies for 2013. For now you get the awesome red band trailer, which is full of all the cursing, ass kicking and ball biting by a German shepherd that one can handle. Enjoy it after the jump...

'This Is The End' - Red Band Trailer: The Greatest Buddy Comedy Movie In The History Of Cinema!!!!!
I have been hearing some grumblings about this buddy film called 'This Is The End' for quite sometime now. It is supposed to be a collaboration of some of the great comedic actors of this generation, featuring the likes of James Franco, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jay Burchel, and Jonah Hill. The coolest part about this movie is that all of these guys have worked together on multiple different films in a variety of combinations, and in this film they are all set to play THEMSELVES while in the middle of an end of the world apocalypse. How hysterical does that fucking sound? Well Jeff sent me the red band trailer, and it was hysterical. But when I dug a little deeper I found an extended version of the red band trailer, with a full extra minute of footage! The movie comes out this summer, so stay tuned for more on an exact release date soon. Check out the extended red band trailer after the jump....

Spring Breakers: Red Band Trailer
The closer it gets to its release date, the more I can't wait for this fucking movie. I am loving the former goodie girls cast as hard core thieves that just want to fund their partying with a little robbery, and I can't wait to see James Franco play a dreadlocked, gold teeth wearing rapper. But the real reason why I am loving this is because I think Harmony Korine's film is about to become this generations Kids, exposing the seedy underbelly of the post 2010 teenage world the same way the 90s classic did when it was released. kids is one of the best movies I have ever seen, mainly because it was so on point and truthful. lets hope Korine's film does the same thing. check out the red band trailer for Spring Breakers after the jump, and check the movie out when it comes out in March!

The 'Evil Dead' Remake Seems To Be The Most Ridiculously Violent Movie Ever Made... And I Can't Wait!!!!
I have been tracking the remake of Evil Dead for quite a while and have always found the prospect of it quite encouraging. It had one thing going for it that most of the horror remakes that have been coming out lack, and that is the involvement of key people from the first one. In this instance it's director Sam Raimi and star Bruce Campbell, who are both returning as overseers in the executive producer chairs. Raimi got a chance to make a bigger, badder movie with Evil Dead 2, which is essentially the same movie as Evil Dead 1 with a bigger budget and a few additional cast members. But both films have a certain slapstick quality to them, and that is what makes them so great. It is also what has made Bruce Campbell's career. And also made the film series one of my favorites of all time. So when they decided to go remake, it seems Raimi decided to just take the dark turn all the way to the bank. The demonic possession and invulnerability of the Deadites is played up to a 10 in this version of the story, and the red band trailer is driving that point home more and more. God damn, that razor!!!! This movie looks more violent and creepy then ever before... and I have to say that I think it is exactly what it needed to remake a classic like this! Make it original, even if it is not an original premise. Check out the red band trailer after the jump and let me know what you guys think about this one. I think any real horror fan worth his weight in bath salts has to love this....

'The To-Do List' - Aubrey Plaza Fulfills All Her Sexual Desires Before College
Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite young comedians in the game. Her mix of sarcasm and power in her delivery has always caught my attention since I first saw her in Funny People. She has stolen many a movie & TV episode over the past few years with her performances, but now she is about to embark on her own tilt as star of the show. The To-Do List deals with Plaza's character and her quest to fulfill a whole list of sexual acts before she leaves for college. On board of this sex train we find some of the greatest minds working in comedy today, from Bill Hader & Andy Samberg to Alia Shawkat & Christopher Mintz- Plasse. Also appearing in the film is Donald Glover, who was Aubrey's co-star in the highly underrated 'Mystery Team' (Check that one out if you haven't on Netflix Instant... great film). Check out the Red Band teaser trailer for the film after the jump. The movie comes out this Valentines Day...

The 'Seven Psychopaths' Red Band Trailer Makes Me Want To See This Movie Even More...
Wow, rarely does a movie have SO MANY things that make me want to see it. And Seven Psychopaths seems to be one of those kinds of movies. Need proof? Check out this red band trailer for the film, which has director Martin McDonagh (In Bruges) casting Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken & Colin Farrell as dog-nappers who kidnap the wrong guys dog. Woody Harrelson as a nutjob killer? Yup. Walken being Walken? Yup. Sam Rockwell being his normal quirky self? yup, all here. Colin Farrell reuniting with the director who got the best performance of his career out of him with In Bruges? Yup, this is that film. Beatboxing break dancing Shit Tzu's, Precious getting sweated down, Abbie Cornish & Olga Kurylenko making the screen burn, and Walken saying "Fuck the cops... FUCK EM!!!"... yup, this is a must see. Check out the red band trailer after the jump...

'The Man With The Iron Fists' - 2nd Red Band Trailer Introduces Some Of The Warriors In The Movie
Rza is and has been one of the most experimental people in the entertainment industry. He has put music to the side and entered the world of film with a bang. He has mostly appeared as an actor, but now he is about to take a turn as a writer & director of his first feature film 'The Man With The Iron Fist'. There has been a short teaser trailer released, but now we get a full on red band trailer that also introduces some of the crazy looking characters by name. Jack Knife? Madame Blossom? Brass Body? The Blacksmith? Holy shit am I looking forward to this one!!!! Add in producers like Eli Roth & Quentin Tarantino overseeing the production and this one has all the makings of a cult classic before it ever shows on a screen. The film comes out November 2nd. Check out the 2nd trailer after the jump...

The Red Band Trailer For 'The Man With The Iron Fists' Is Eye Popping... Literally!!!!
The Wu Tang Clan are one of my all time favorite rap groups, and here at CCD we usually spend Wednesdays celebrating the greatness of the Wu (even though I have fallen off lately). But like any group in the music business they have peaked and the members are off doing other things. Quite a few of the members have crossed over to the acting profession, with Method Man & Rza leading the charge. But while Mr. Meth has gotten into a plethora of projects both big & small, Rza has scored some key roles in HUGE movies like American Gangster, Funny People, and Tarantino's next hit Django Unchained. These huge films have lead him to forming some awesome friendships with the likes of Russell Crowe & Tarantino himself, and when Rza decided to step behind the camera himself to direct a movie he got the proverbial 'help from his friends'! His first film is entitled 'The Man With The Iron Fists', which sounds like it was the title of an older Wu Tang song. He got his pal Russell Crowe along as the star, got QT as the producer, and even plucked some Tarantino regulars in Lucy Liu & Eli Roth to help make the film awesome. The final step was to make the action/fight scenes larger than life, as any fan of the Wu knows that the guys love in their movies. Rza seems to have nailed this aspect if nothing else. This is the red band trailer for the film, so that means uneditted for content. But instead of nudity, expect to see some eye popping fighting... literally! Check the trailer out after the jump....

V/H/S Hopes To Bring Back The Golden Age of Horror Anthology Films
As an 80s baby I miss the days of the horror anthology. At the time we were lucky enough to be blessed with numerous horror anthologies on both TV and on the big screen. TV shows like Tales From The Darkside, Tales From The Crypt, Friday the 13th: The Series, and The Outer Limits were on the air scaring the shit out of me with a different story every episode. Movies like Creepshow 1 & 2, Cat's Eye, Two Evil Eyes, Body Bags, and film versions of Tales From the Darkside/Crypt all brought the scares to the movie theater and took that extra step that the TV counterparts couldn't pull off. But for a while, horror anthologies went by the wayside. It wasn't until 2007's Trick R' Treat (a favorite of Jeff & I here at CCD) that a meaningful horror anthology hit the screen, and by was it a doozy! That film started the ball rolling on a few more recent projects like Chillerama and even the Grindhouse movie from Tarantino/Rodriguez (when pairing the two movies with the faux trailer mini movies, you get anthology). But now we have a film that is promising to bring it all full circle, and some of Horror's best young talented writers & directors are hoping to make it happen. V/H/S comes to us courtesy of Ti West (House of the Devil), and he is accompanied by talents like Adam Wingard, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg, and the guys of Radio Silence in this found footage anthology... and boy does this Red Band Trailer look insane!!! The film hits on October 5th. Check out the trailer after the jump...

Hobbits Be Crazy: Check Out Elijah Wood In The New Trailer For 'Maniac'
'Maniac' was one of the craziest movies ever made, and way back in 1980 helped jump start the slasher genre. The movie had iconic VHS box art and was a staple of any horror fan who rented movies from their local mom & pop video shop. The unique Point Of View shots and the awesome early special effects of Tom Savini all made the film quite perfect. So when I heard that they were going to remake the film, as a true horror fan I was a little skeptical. Especially when they added the hobbit man himself Elijah Wood as the title character... how the fuck was Frodo going to scare anybody? Well, one way to get this one right is to add Alejandre Aja to the mix as a producer. The guy is one of the few people in the horror industry who gets it, and has a very strong tie to the original films in this classic genre. The second thing to do would be to release a red band trailer showing Mr. Wood acting "Maniacal"... and holy shit it works!!! Check out the trailer after the jump for proof that even Hobbits can be serial killers...

The 'Hick' Red Band Trailer - Just Another Reason To Love Chloe Grace Moretz
Chloe Grace Moretz has been on quite the tear throughout the last 3 years of her career. Starting with her controversial turn as the pint size, foul mouth Hit Girl in Kick Ass, as the blood thirsty teenage vampire in the American adaption of Let The Right One In, and her wholesome take on a family film in Scorsese's Hugo... Moretz always seems to be pitch perfect no matter how different her roles may be. While most people are gearing up for her role in the new Tim Burton film Dark Shadows, I am personally looking forward to her turn in Derick Martini's 'Hick'. It seems to be full of vulgarity, stereotypes, an sexy ass Blake Lively... what more do you want? This is the challenging type of role that I want to see Moretz keep taking on, and judging by the roles Moretz has taken so far I am sure I won't be disappointed. Check out the red band trailer after the jump...

The Red Band Trailer For "Horrible Bosses" Makes Me Want To See This Movie SOOOOO Much More...
![]() |
Why doesn't this guy want to fuck her? I am concerned... |
What a difference a red band trailer makes. I thought that "Horrible Bosses" was gonna be a mediocre comedy, one that featured a great cast but would play it safe. All the previews have seemed to play it that way. The cast of bosses (Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, and Colin Farrell) was what worried me the most. I like all three as actors... but would they truly be able to be despicable to the point that they should be killed??? I just wasn't buying it. But my main man Glenn just sent me the Red Band trailer... shall we:
Ok... I guess if this is how the three bosses are gonna act, I'm in!!!! This one looks really funny, and it seems from the lines of all three of the bosses that they are embracing their douche-ness to the fullest extreme. Let me ask you this: Did you ever imagine Kevin Spacey talking about rolling his nuts in shredded coconut or Jennifer Aniston deep throating multiple cock shaped foods while in a nightie and using the word dick in a sentence??? OMG Rachel !!!! I'm looking forward to this one. Hits theaters July 8th!!!

Oh my, my, my.... Rachel, what goes on??? |

Two Videos That Are Sure To Put A Smile On Your Face Today
First up, we get the newest edition of Zach Galifianakis's interview show Between Two Ferns. This edition features Sean Penn, and to be honest with you it is kinda cool to see Penn doing something comedic instead of his usual Oscar bait roles.
Next, we got Diablo Cody and her web based internet show, Red Band Trailer. This time around she gets Meagan Fox and her mongo thumbs in the chair...
July 20, 2010
Check Out Diablo Cody's Web Show....
A red band trailer is a completely unedited version of a film trailer that has gained lots of popularity over the past few years as a way for questionable content to be part of a coming attraction. Historically, trailer are edited to be curse and nudity free, so that they can be showed on regular TV and at the beginning of movies in the theater. But lately, filmmakers are making additional trailers that contain questionable content and coarse language... and usually this material is made public on the internet. Since most trailer surfing is taking place on the net... well, its pretty reasonable to say that red band trailers have become very popular.
So, what does this have to do with Diablo Cody??? Well, the script writer of Jennifer's Body and Juno, as well as the creator of The United States of Tara, has a long history of side projects. Her whole career was launched as a blogger, and recently she has started a YouTube interview series where she sits down with someone famous one-on-one and shoots the shit with them.... no holds barred. She starts off with actor Adam Brody, who was in Jennifer's Body & Late Night TV host Chelsea Handler, who happens to be Cody's husbands boss (he works for her show). The clips are great, especially when Brody rips K-Stew, Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame, for complaining about being famous. I am looking forward to future guest she will have and topics they will discuss. I have included the two episodes below, and you can subscribe to the Red Band Trailer channel on Youtube here. Who do you guys want to see her interview next??? What would you ask that person??? Tell us in the comment section below. Enjoy

New Kick Ass Red Band Trailer... Wow!!!
This movie looks phenomenal... and its getting the approval of the guys that I trust most: Former geeks who have made it in the movie industry like Edgar Wright and Kevin Smith. Thats the kind of endorsement a film like this is looking for. The cast looks wonderful, and since the comic creator Mark Millar was involved in the movie from the begining it should be awesome. So here is the latest Red Band Trailer for the film I can't wait for. Kick Ass premieres in England on March 26th, 2010 and here in the USA on April 16th, 2010. Hope this can hold you guys over!!!
