'The Man With The Iron Fists' - 2nd Red Band Trailer Introduces Some Of The Warriors In The Movie

Rza is and has been one of the most experimental people in the entertainment industry. He has put music to the side and entered the world of film with a bang. He has mostly appeared as an actor, but now he is about to take a turn as a writer & director of his first feature film 'The Man With The Iron Fist'. There has been a short teaser trailer released, but now we get a full on red band trailer that also introduces some of the crazy looking characters by name. Jack Knife? Madame Blossom? Brass Body? The Blacksmith? Holy shit am I looking forward to this one!!!! Add in producers like Eli Roth & Quentin Tarantino overseeing the production and this one has all the makings of a cult classic before it ever shows on a screen. The film comes out November 2nd. Check out the 2nd trailer after the jump...

The Red Band Trailer For 'The Man With The Iron Fists' Is Eye Popping... Literally!!!!

The Wu Tang Clan are one of my all time favorite rap groups, and here at CCD we usually spend Wednesdays celebrating the greatness of the Wu (even though I have fallen off lately). But like any group in the music business they have peaked and the members are off doing other things. Quite a few of the members have crossed over to the acting profession, with Method Man & Rza leading the charge. But while Mr. Meth has gotten into a plethora of projects both big & small, Rza has scored some key roles in HUGE movies like American Gangster, Funny People, and Tarantino's next hit Django Unchained. These huge films have lead him to forming some awesome friendships with the likes of Russell Crowe & Tarantino himself, and when Rza decided to step behind the camera himself to direct a movie he got the proverbial 'help from his friends'! His first film is entitled 'The Man With The Iron Fists', which sounds like it was the title of an older Wu Tang song. He got his pal Russell Crowe along as the star, got QT as the producer, and even plucked some Tarantino regulars in Lucy Liu & Eli Roth to help make the film awesome. The final step was to make the action/fight scenes larger than life, as any fan of the Wu knows that the guys love in their movies. Rza seems to have nailed this aspect if nothing else. This is the red band trailer for the film, so that means uneditted for content. But instead of nudity, expect to see some eye popping fighting... literally! Check the trailer out after the jump....

Wu Tang Wednesday - Raekwon ft Wu Tang - House Of Flying Daggers

It's Wu Tang Wednesday son!!!! Ok, its Thursday... but whatever. Here is the video for Raekwon's House of Flying Daggers off of Only Built For Cuban Linx Pt. II. I know this song and album are over a year and a half old, but I have never seen it (because MTV & BET don't show videos no more!!!)and really love the album. The Wu uses a cartoon/motion comic strategy for this one, and the track is from the late great J Dilla. Dilla is even resurrected in cartoon form for this one. Rae is joined by some of the hardest hitters of the Wu: Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, Method Man, and  Gza. They bring the martial arts movie classic "The 5 Deadly Venoms" alive in this animated masterpiece that I just had to share with all of you. Long live the Wu!!!!

Wu Tang Wednesday - 1991 Public Access Interview With Rza, Gza, and ODB

Gza & ODB with the crazy hairdo's son!!!

Check out this old school 1991 interview with Rza, Gza, and ODB a few years before they would gain full fledged stradom with 1993's 'Enter the 36 Chambers'. They were on this public access show to promote the Gza's solo album "Words From The Genius", and they are comical as usual. Hope you enjoy the clip... I only got one question: Whats up with that chicks hair???

Wu Tang Wednesday - Tragedy Khadafi ft Cam' ron, Killa Sha & Rza - W.W.T.

On Wu Tang Wednesday, I always feature songs from one of my favorite rap groups of all time. Today I am focusing on a rare guest appearance by Rza. He doesn't make many guest spots, but when he does he drops some gems. Such is the case on Tragedy Khadafi's song W.W.T., that also features future rap star Cam'ron as well (this song is from the late 90's/early 2000's). Hope you enjoy... and if you never heard of Tragedy, definitetly check out more of his music. It's fire!!!!

Wu Tang Wednesday - Ghostface Killah ft Raekwon & Cappadonna - Daytona 500

This one right here is one of the greatest videos to ever come out of the Wu-Tang camp... Tony Starks takes the immortal Japanese cartoon Speed Racer and flips it on its noggin with a little help from Raekwon & Cappadonna on the song and Rza on the track... off the classic Iron Man album. Unfortunately, this is the video version... on the album, you get the amazing singing intro that really sets the tone of the song:
"We are the G, O-D's, And we came to rock, the spot, Like Ironman Starks, They be the illest MC's, in the world today, Cappa Raekwon and the R-Z-A, So listen to them clear, and put the box right near your ear, Light your blunts and down your beers, Cause you could never fuck with Wu-Tang Killer Beez..."

Wu-Tang Wednesday: Wu Wear (The Garment Renaissance)

Rza ft. Method Man and Cappadonna off of the High School High soundtrack... a little trip back to 1996. Great to see people in rugby shirts and Tims, with caps pulled low. Love all the clothing label shout outs from the past. For the new year... strictly WU WEAR!!!!

Wu-Tang Wednesday - Rza - La Rhumba

There are no words to describe the craziness that goes on inside the head of the Rza. Especially when he is in his Bobby Digital mode... The dude is a genius. He is the producer behind all of Wu-Tang's early hits, and continued to work on each and every solo album that was released by various members and extended family of the Wu (Anybody remember Sunz of Man or The 60 Second Assassin???) The man is a musical genius, and he is not a bad actor either. Check him in American Gangster. Anywho, enjoy a fun song from a different time in hip hop. Wu-Tang Forever!!!
