Wu-Tang Wednesday: U-God & Method Man - "Wu-Tang"

We have been off the Wu Tang Wednesday bandwagon for a minute, but today we are back like we left something!!! Welcome to Wu Tang Wednesday, where we celebrate the wonderful history of music from the world's greatest hip hop group, the Wu Tang Clan!!! Today we check in on U-God, the least vocal member of the clan, who came out with a dope album entitled "Dopium" in 2010 to very little fanfare. One of the best tracks on the album was a collabo with the most popular member of the clan, Method Man, entitled "Wu-Tang". It features a banging beat that is very in line with what the clan was doing back in the mid 90s and the hook is quite catchy. Wu-Tang Wednesday: Dr. SeWUss & The Who Tang Clan by Alex Pardee

It's that time again... time to celebrate the greatest rap group in history. It's Wu Tang Wednesday motherfuckers!!! Today we get a very artistic mash-up from Alex Pardee and the Zero-Friends crew entitled "Dr. SeWUss & The Who Tang Clan". This is a phenomenal design right here. Dr. Suess mashed up with the WU? Ooohhhh, hell ya!!!! Wu-Tang Wednesday: Doctor Who-Tang Clan by Alex Pardee

It's Thursday... but I missed Wu Tang Wednesday, so you get it today instead!!! Wu-Tang Wednesday: Gab Gotcha - Humility

Well, today is Wednesday... so it must be time for Wu Tang!!!! It's our weekly celebration of everything Wu, so lets get it cracking. I have been patiently waiting to see what the next generation of Wu Tang would come to represent. Even though the old guard is still making music, eventually they are going to have to infuse some new blood into the mix. Enter Gab Gotcha, a Hispanic rapper that was signed by Rza to Wu Tang Records with an album ready to drop on Dec. 7th. In true independant/Wu Tang style, they went with an animated (cheaper to make) video for his lead single 'Humility'. The animation is kinda cool and the song has a hot beat, and the boy Gab spits fire on it. I am interested to hear what my fellow Wu heads have to say about this one (Joe, Fletch, anyone... please comment below!). Check out the full video after the jump...

Today I am featuring a cool cut off the "8 Diagrams" album entitled 'My Heart Gently Weeps'. the video features a sexy ass geisha girl and is a cover of the Beatles classic 'My Guitar Gently Weeps'. Wu Tang Wednesday - Gza - Living In The World Today

It's Wu-Tang Wednesday again, and I had to feature one of my favorite MC's of the group. Gza is probably the best lyricist of the group (overall) and his memorable lines always had me hitting rewind, staring at the radio in awe. This is one of my favorite tracks of his Liquid Swords album, and I knew I had to get it up here on Wu-Tang Wednesday so that you can remember just how much of a boss my man Gza is. Enjoy. Wu Tang Wednesday: The Challenges Of Interviewing Old Dirty Bastard

This is an amazing behind the scenes clip of Old Dirty Bastard being interviewed by MTV's John Norris... better yet, this shows the challenges that a guy like Norris must have faced trying to compile two minutes of usable material while trying to interview a maniac like ODB. "I remember the nigga that was riding the bike in the sky..." "Keep it good kids... keep it good, cause you know I'm gonna love you forever!" Wow... unreal. This man was truly a complete nutjob. He was a musical genius, and I appreciate his work even more when you realize he did all of that despite of his craziness. I miss ODB. He was taken far to soon. Wu Tang Wednesday - Raekwon ft Wu Tang - House Of Flying Daggers

 It's Wu Tang Wednesday son!!!! Ok, its Thursday... but whatever. Here is the video for Raekwon's House of Flying Daggers off of Only Built For Cuban Linx Pt. II. I know this song and album are over a year and a half old, but I have never seen it (because MTV & BET don't show videos no more!!!)and really love the album. The Wu uses a cartoon/motion comic strategy for this one, and the track is from the late great J Dilla. Dilla is even resurrected in cartoon form for this one. Rae is joined by some of the hardest hitters of the Wu: Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, Method Man, and  Gza. They bring the martial arts movie classic "The 5 Deadly Venoms" alive in this animated masterpiece that I just had to share with all of you. Long live the Wu!!!!

Wu Tang Wednesday: My Little Wu Tang

How great is this video??? Trust me... its great. Studio B took the old Hasbro classic My Little Pony and mashed it up with one of my favorite Wu songs, "Shame On A Nigga!!!". There is just something about watching Old Dirty repped by a pony in the video. Thanks to Forces of Geek for this tip. Great stuff. Happy Wu Tang Wednesday.

 These videos are from a Youtube user by the name of Essie Driver in which him and his white friends re-enact the two skits from Enter the 36 Chambers. They call it "The Wu Tang Office". This is freaking hysterical. Very well done... these guys faces are perfect. Happy Wu Tang Wednesday!!!!

Wu Tang Wednesday - Inspectah Deck - Thundercat Freestyle

Wow... if Inspectah Deck was NOT a member of the Wu Tang and been in any other group, he probably would have been the biggest star of the lot. In the Wu he is like the 5th or 6th fiddle (not the 5th or 6th best, but probably the 5th most popular). Here is proof to that, the "Thundercat" freestyle that has the Rebel INS spitting over Royce da 5'9's 'Scary Movie' beat. This one is fire.... Happy Wu Tang Wednesday!!!

Cappadonna was always one of my favorite supporting members of the Wu, and this was one of the songs that he really killed it on by himself. Wu Tang Wednesday - Method Man - The Riddler (Batman Forever Soundtrack)

I know this one is a day late... sorry! I always had a soft spot for this track. It came of the Batman Forever soundtrack... a much maligned movie. I always liked the movies campiness, but most people hated the shit out of it. Even if you hate Schumacher's version of the Bat (for Christ Sake, are those nipples?), it's hard to knock this wonderful vid featuring Mr. Meth. I love the way they Corleone-ized Meth... he looks like a chubby Ice Cube!!! Enjoy the track... Wu Tang Forever!

Wu Tang Wednesday - Method Man - Release Yo' Delf

This was the lead single off Method Man's Tical album... and in my opinion is the start of the WU blowing up to the fullest extremes. They experienced group success with 36 Chambers, but it was Tical that put Meth out in front as the accepatble solo artists that paved the way for Dirty, Ghost, Rae, and the rest of the crew to achieve solo success. This song is so fuckimg awesome... the start is amazing and still gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. Enjoy...

Wu Tang Wednesday - Ghostface Killah ft Mary J Blige - All That I Got Is You

I heard this song three times in the past week, so I felt like it was a sign. Great track, always brings a tear to my eye. Ghost sure knows how to paint a picture, doesn't he? Off the Ironman album... one of the best songs to ever come out of the Wu camp!
