Vice's Music Blog "Noisey" Invents The World's First Rap Based Board Game: Guess Wu?
Awwww Yeah.... Wu Tang Again and Again!!! We are suckers for creativity, and especially creativity that invokes our favorite rap group from Shaolin. So when we came across an article over at Vice's music blog Noisey about a custom version of Guess Who? that featured the members of the Wu and their extended family our attention was caught. Featuring box art and individual portraits by artist Dan Evans, the game works on the original premise of Guess Who? but with a hip hop twist. So instead of asking if your character guess wears glasses or if he has on a specific kind of hat, you might ask if he goes by the name Golden Arms or has ever had an album called Fishscale. This could make for hours and hours of Wu related fun... and lead to all types of expansion packs thanks in part to the endless supply of Wu affiliated rappers. Who wouldn't want to grab volume 3 of the game featuring Pop the Brown Hornet, Shabbaz the Disciple and King Just? The possibilities are endless. Lets just hope this becomes a "thing" and not just a genius one off by the Vice gang. If Monopoly and Life can get away with branded versions of their board games, why not Guess Wu? I would certianly buy it....

The Red Band Trailer For 'The Man With The Iron Fists' Is Eye Popping... Literally!!!!
The Wu Tang Clan are one of my all time favorite rap groups, and here at CCD we usually spend Wednesdays celebrating the greatness of the Wu (even though I have fallen off lately). But like any group in the music business they have peaked and the members are off doing other things. Quite a few of the members have crossed over to the acting profession, with Method Man & Rza leading the charge. But while Mr. Meth has gotten into a plethora of projects both big & small, Rza has scored some key roles in HUGE movies like American Gangster, Funny People, and Tarantino's next hit Django Unchained. These huge films have lead him to forming some awesome friendships with the likes of Russell Crowe & Tarantino himself, and when Rza decided to step behind the camera himself to direct a movie he got the proverbial 'help from his friends'! His first film is entitled 'The Man With The Iron Fists', which sounds like it was the title of an older Wu Tang song. He got his pal Russell Crowe along as the star, got QT as the producer, and even plucked some Tarantino regulars in Lucy Liu & Eli Roth to help make the film awesome. The final step was to make the action/fight scenes larger than life, as any fan of the Wu knows that the guys love in their movies. Rza seems to have nailed this aspect if nothing else. This is the red band trailer for the film, so that means uneditted for content. But instead of nudity, expect to see some eye popping fighting... literally! Check the trailer out after the jump....

Wu Tang Wednesday: The Wu Takes It To Transylvania!!!
My man Joe Fletch put me on to a phenomenal mixtape website called DatPiff.com where you can download all types of cool hip hop mixtapes. Some old stuff, some new stuff, and some stuff that is just a bit out of the ordinary. Case in point: Check out this mixtape from Nocc & El Nino entitled "Castlevania Forever: The Mix Tape" that features mostly Wu Tang vocals over beats from the Castlevania games. This is fucking bananas!!! It is mostly Wu vocals, with a few appearances by guys like Kool G Rap & The Gravediggas. Click here to set up an account (it's free) over at Dat Piff and download this mixtape asap. It is super cool. Also, after the jump check out two of the tracks that were put up on Youtube. This will give you a taste of what is on the mixtape. Happy Wu Wednesday!!!

Wu-Tang Wednesday: Gab Gotcha - Humility
Well, today is Wednesday... so it must be time for Wu Tang!!!! It's our weekly celebration of everything Wu, so lets get it cracking. I have been patiently waiting to see what the next generation of Wu Tang would come to represent. Even though the old guard is still making music, eventually they are going to have to infuse some new blood into the mix. Enter Gab Gotcha, a Hispanic rapper that was signed by Rza to Wu Tang Records with an album ready to drop on Dec. 7th. In true independant/Wu Tang style, they went with an animated (cheaper to make) video for his lead single 'Humility'. The animation is kinda cool and the song has a hot beat, and the boy Gab spits fire on it. I am interested to hear what my fellow Wu heads have to say about this one (Joe, Fletch, anyone... please comment below!). Check out the full video after the jump...

Wu Tang Wednesday - Gza - Living In The World Today
It's Wu-Tang Wednesday again, and I had to feature one of my favorite MC's of the group. Gza is probably the best lyricist of the group (overall) and his memorable lines always had me hitting rewind, staring at the radio in awe. This is one of my favorite tracks of his Liquid Swords album, and I knew I had to get it up here on Wu-Tang Wednesday so that you can remember just how much of a boss my man Gza is. Enjoy. Wu Tabg forever, motherfucker!!!

Wu Tang Wednesday: The Challenges Of Interviewing Old Dirty Bastard
This is an amazing behind the scenes clip of Old Dirty Bastard being interviewed by MTV's John Norris... better yet, this shows the challenges that a guy like Norris must have faced trying to compile two minutes of usable material while trying to interview a maniac like ODB. "I remember the nigga that was riding the bike in the sky..." "Keep it good kids... keep it good, cause you know I'm gonna love you forever!" Wow... unreal. This man was truly a complete nutjob. He was a musical genius, and I appreciate his work even more when you realize he did all of that despite of his craziness. I miss ODB. He was taken far to soon. Enjoy this interview and remember the good times. Ason Jones, you my man for life!!!!

Wu Tang Wednesday: My Little Wu Tang
How great is this video??? Trust me... its great. Studio B took the old Hasbro classic My Little Pony and mashed it up with one of my favorite Wu songs, "Shame On A Nigga!!!". There is just something about watching Old Dirty repped by a pony in the video. Thanks to Forces of Geek for this tip. Great stuff. Happy Wu Tang Wednesday.
