31 in 31: Day 4 - The Vault (2017)

This year to celebrate the Halloween month I have decided to watch 31 Horror Movies that I have never seen before in 31 Days... 31 in 31. I love Horror Films, but instead of watching the standard classics and usual fan favorites (trust me... I will watch many of them TOO!) I am going to venture out into some uncharted territory with my selections. Wish me luck....

Day 4 - The Vault (2017)

'Sausage Party' - The 'R' Rated Animated Movie From Seth Rogen & Co You Have Been Yearning For !!!

So, Seth Rogen is a golden god in Hollywood right now... and his team of friends/co-contributors are right there alongside of him, enjoying the limelight. He and his writing partner Evan Goldberg have been killing it. All his 'This Is The End' co-stars are signing on for tons of flicks, and every time this crew puts something into the cinema it seems to rake in the dough but, they are never content. Nope, they are not resting on their laurels any time soon. So, they are looking to move into another venue of cinema, and I for one couldn't be happier. They are foraging into the world of animation but, they are doing it in their own way... and I am sure it will be filthy!

Se more after the jump...

'This Is The End' Red Band Trailer - "Hermoine Just Stole All Our Shit..."

I have been eagerly waiting for This Is The End, the mock "real" alien invasion movie featuring James Franco, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jay Burcel, and Craig Robinson as themselves dealing with teh aftermath of an alien attack. The more promotional materials that are released the more I want to see it. But the latest red band trailer shows that the big 5 comedians that I just mentioned are busting out all their comedic genius friends for guest starring roles... In this new red band clip we get: Michael Cera, Chistopher Mintz-Plasse, Mindy Kaitling, Aziz Ansari, Kevin Hart, Jason Segal, and Rhianna. We also get a shot of Hermoine, aka Emma Watson, all grown up and showing Seth Rogen what kind of damage an axe handle can do. This trailer is out of control, and the movie seems to be absolutely wild. I for one can't wait to see how it all plays out. The film comes out June 12th, 2013... but for now enjoy the red band trailer after the jump...

The Only Thing I Hate About The Release Of Spring Breakers

Is that the studio will stop making these beautiful character posters. So far all the posters have used a bright pastel color scheme but I actually prefer seeing the girls in these new outfits. They are all about violence and sexual attitude. I am also pretty stoked to see how much of a scumbag James Franco will be. As a huge fan of Selena Gomez, I followed this production since the first day of shooting. Hoping this is the role that shoots her already great career into the stratosphere. All around I am very pleased with the early reviews of the film and look forward to a good time at the theater. Check out the newest round of posters after the jump...

'This Is The End' - Red Band Trailer: The Greatest Buddy Comedy Movie In The History Of Cinema!!!!!

I have been hearing some grumblings about this buddy film called 'This Is The End' for quite sometime now. It is supposed to be a collaboration of some of the great comedic actors of this generation, featuring the likes of James Franco, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jay Burchel, and Jonah Hill. The coolest part about this movie is that all of these guys have worked together on multiple different films in a variety of combinations, and in this film they are all set to play THEMSELVES while in the middle of an end of the world apocalypse.  How hysterical does that fucking sound? Well Jeff sent me the red band trailer, and it was hysterical. But when I dug a little deeper I found an extended version of the red band trailer, with a full extra minute of footage! The movie comes out this summer, so stay tuned for more on an exact release date soon. Check out the extended red band trailer after the jump....

Spring Breakers: Red Band Trailer

The closer it gets to its release date, the more I can't wait for this fucking movie. I am loving the former goodie girls cast as hard core thieves that just want to fund their partying with a little robbery, and I can't wait to see James Franco play a dreadlocked, gold teeth wearing rapper. But the real reason why I am loving this is because I think Harmony Korine's film is about to become this generations Kids, exposing the seedy underbelly of the post 2010 teenage world the same way the 90s classic did when it was released. kids is one of the best movies I have ever seen, mainly because it was so on point and truthful. lets hope Korine's film does the same thing. check out the red band trailer for Spring Breakers after the jump, and check the movie out when it comes out in March!

The Wizard May Be Important To Oz, But I am All About The Witches...

I have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the plentiful amount of Wizrad of Oz based projects that are due to hit in the next couple of months. As a huge fan of the Skottie Young drawn comic (that header photo is from that series) from marvel, the original novels by L Frank Baum, and the Wicked novels... well, lets just say I love me some stories from the mystical land of Oz. But the classic film changed a bunch of stuff from the books and most of these newer projects planned on showing another side to the source material. The one that stands out the most has to be the Sam Raimi helmed 'Oz the Great And Powerful'. This one gives us James Franco in the titular role of the Wizard (does this guy ever stop working?) and tells us the part of the epic tale of when the Wizard first came to Oz. But it also gives us a glimpse at the wonderful witches of Oz, the ones made all the books & film versions of the land of Oz exciting. The three witches that plan to play a prominent role in this film are played by three killer actresses, and I am sure the they are going to do a great job. Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, and Rachel Weisz are on deck to play the spell casters... and I can't possibly think of a better group of talented and beautiful actresses to fill the role. The movie hits theaters on March 8th, and I am sure we are going to get blitzed in the press over Super Bowl weekend, but you can meet the witches and take a look at the wonderful world that Sam Raimi has created in a small featurette after the jump....

'Spring Breakers': The Trailer

Bikinis. Hot young actresses like Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens & Rachel Korinne prancing around in them. Guns. Drugs. James Franco as a cornrowed, tatted up gangster rapper named Alien. Tropical locals. Pool parties. Guns. Ski masks & bikinis at the same damn time. Britney Spears sing alongs with bottles of booze. More bikinis (do any of these chicks own a cover up or a pair of short?). piles of money. Shootouts. Robberies. Threesomes. Foursomes. Moresomes. Fast cars. Young and fly chicks. Neon colors. Beaches. Strip clubs. Crazy actions. Hunting knives. These are a few of my favorite things... and make up the REGULAR GREEN BAND trailer for Harmony Korinne's newest film 'Spring Breakers'. I can't fucking wait to see the Red Band trailer... holy shit! Check it out after the jump...

"Spring Breakers' Still Looks Like A Movie About Sluttie 19 Year Old Girls... And I Still Can't Wait To See It!!!!

I have been eagerly anticipating the release of Harmony Korine's  film 'Spring Breakers' for quite awhile, since last May to be more precise (click here for CCD's 1st look). One reason has to do with the extremely large cast of bikini clad in their early 20's starlets that are starring in the films (click here to see the films Tumblr). Some of those young beauties include Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and even Harmony's daughter Rachel rocking small bathing suits and cool sneakers. Or it could be the ridiculous looking character that James Franco is scheduled to play. I know Franco has range.. but a corn-rowed, gun toting, tattooed gangster rapper? Yup, that is going to be awesome. Now the film is right around the corner (it has a March 2013 release slated), and we are starting to get even cooler one sheet teaser posters that will probably be displayed in the lobbies of movie theaters nationwide. I think this one is of Ashley Benson... I can't really tell, because of the unicorn adorned ski mask (I can't believe I just typed that). But with all the bright colors, intriguing characters, gunplay and sexy jail bait starring in this thing I for one will be first in line to see this. It opens in LA & NY on March 22nd, and then wide after that. enjoy the new posters after the jump...

10 Reasons I Want To Watch Some Of Hollywood's Sexiest Young Actresses Get Corrupted In 'Spring Breakers'

Spring Breakers is an upcoming movie starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Heather Morris, and Rachel Korrine. These young starlets are all on board to play sheltered college students who are ready to get down and dirty on Spring Break. This movie is not going to be cheerful & fun... it is gonna be gritty  & hood, and all you have to do is see James Franco as rapper Alien to see just how sick this movie may be. But with all of these photos of the sexy young cast running around in bikinis and thugging it out, I am highly intrigued. Check out 10 pics from the films Tumblr and draw your own conclusions...

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Looks Pretty Bad Ass

I went to a triple header of movies last night (Pirates 4, The Hangover 2 and X-Men: First Class) and somehow I missed only 1 trailer (thanks to Joe Fletch's trusty time chart!!!). Unfortunately, the 1 trailer I missed was the only one I haven't seen before... a brand new Rise of the Planet of the Apes trailer! I am very excited about this movie, as I feel like this can be a great take on the franchise and modernize the effects of the classic films. Caesar and the rest of the simians look awesome. See for yourself:

In the same vein of this, my good friend and artist Tommy Lombadozzi created a very cool "Caesar" picture that he has for sale on his website. You can click here to buy his wonderful art.

Francesco Francavilla Shows Us How Plastic Man Would Have Handled "127 Hours"

Check out awesome comic artist Francesco Francavilla's take on how Plastic Man would have dealt with James Franco's dilemma in 127 Hours. Lets just say he wouldn't have been chopping off any arms. Take a look:

Via Popped Culture, who would have just called for help on a cell phone (What year is this, 1966? Who DOESN'T Have a cell phone?).

The Vanity Fair 'Hollywood Issue' Cover... Yes Please!!!

Left to Right: Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde (Holy.Shit.WOWWWW), Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Heldlund, Noomi Rapace, and Robert Duvall as the Bartender(in the background).

I can see they are going with a young Hollywood theme here (except for Duvall), which is fine, but I only have one question: Where is Natalie Portman, any of the Harry Potter and /or Twilight stars, and Emma Stone? How can you leave those guys out, with all they accomplished this year and all they got lined up next year... Who do you guys think VF forgot for this years cover? Tell us in the comment section below.

New York Times Magazine: The Hollywood Issue - A Slideshow Of Stars

This weekend's NY Times Magazine is the annual Hollywood issue, and this year the magazine has invited some of this years brightest and best film stars to participate in a cool photo/video shoot. Film writer A.O. Scott provides this introduction to the photo/video project:

In the past, we have invited the year’s great performers to be themselves for the camera and, on video, to talk about what they do. This year, we asked them to do it: to show us — in a few gestures and with a few props but without dialogue or story — what acting is. And here they are, striking some of the classic attitudes of cinema, turning their bodies and faces into instruments of pure, deep and enigmatic emotion. — A.O. Scott
There are some big names here: Legends like Robert Duvall and Michael Douglas, hot young stars in the making like Jennifer Lawrence & Jessie Eisenberg, top of their game stars like Natalie Portman & James Franco, and CCD's favorite vampire/12 year old female crime fighter Chloe Moretz. There are 18 pics in all... hope you enjoy them. You can see the photos by clicking here & the videos by clicking here. Pick up the Sunday NY Times so that you can get all of the other Hollywood related goodies. Who looks the best in these pics? Which ones do you guys love or hate? Let us know in the comment section below.
