Check Out The New Marvel x Funko Figures

I am a huge fan of these Funko Pop Figures. I usually pass on these vinyl figures but these are of such gorgeous design and they display so well. The range of characters grows monthy and in early 2013 you can add these to your shelves. My favorite is, of course, DOOM! At $10 a pop these are an easy collecting choice to make. Check out the individual figures in detail figures after the jump...

Ghost Rider Makes Everything Better, Especially Grand Theft Auto

Ghost Rider has always been one of my favorite characters because I was at my comic book collecting prime in the 90s when GR was front in center of almost every Marvel book at the time. Kind of like the way Deadpool is now. Ghost rider was everywhere, and since I was completely immersed in the comic world at that point, so naturally I was drawn to the character. Thanks to my main man Joe Fletch I get to see my teen age comic book obsession terrorize Liberty City in this awesome Grand Theft Auto IV mod. Guns and carjackings are cool, but raining down fire & brimstone is definitively cooler. Thanks to How To Geek or the video.  Check out the video after the jump...

Silhouette Super Kids by Andy Fairhurst

Lots of artists  draw superheroes... nothing new there at all. But a good artist finds a niche way to make those famous heroes their own, whether it be a certain look that they give them or a certain medium that they draw them in. Andy Fairhurst's subjects may be familiar to you, but the way he chooses to convey them are quite unique. He uses a silhouette style to bring out the characteristics of the subjects, and he also chooses to portray them as kids. He has a series of 12 of these, which I included after the jump. But he also has lots of other great artwork, so click here to check it out...

Artist Spotlight: The Mash-Up King Marco D'Alfonso

I saw one piece of artists Marco D'Alfonso work over at Rampage Reality and I was very impressed... so I decided to dig a little deeper. My god am I glad I did! I love me some mash-ups, but Marco is one of the best I have ever seen at combing two properties together. I think the key is finding two properties that make sense together but are not the obvious choice... that is what brings it home. When you see the awesome mash-ups from Marco, you will see exactly what I mean. I am officially crowning him The Mash-up King... at least here on CCD he is!!! I hope you enjoy... click after the jump for all of them.

Johnson Ting Re-Designs Some Of Marvel's Finest

Artist Johnson Ting has been setting the internet afire the last few days with his re-designs of four key Marvel Comics characters. I had to share these with you guys because if you haven't came across them on the intrawebs yet, you need to have seen these! Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Deadpool & The Punisher all go under the knife by Ting and get a bit of an Iron Man Armor-esque twist to their costumes. Click after the jump for all four designs...

The Brave & The Bold: The Lost Issues Does The Supernatural Justice

The Brave and The Bold: The Lost Issues is an excellent idea for a blog that is brought to us by Ross. Ross uses MS Paint to take certain aspects of comic covers and come up with team ups for Batman ala the way they used to in DC Comics The Brave & The Bold. At first he only used DC characters from the particular era of the orginal run, but soon after he started popping Marvel characters as well as all other types of cool people from different mediums into the team ups. They are a great quality and look fantastic... and you can view all of his posts by clicking here. Since it is CCD's All Horror Week, I chose to highlght the supernatural type covers that Ross has presented throughout his run. I hope you enjoy them. Please check out Ross, tell em CCD sent you and make some suggestions in the comments section below that you would like to see... we will pass em on to him!!!
