'Gotham' Is Coming... Who Is Ready?

'Gotham' is something that I am looking forward too, but I am very wary for. Why you ask? Simple. While it is a great idea (a cop procedural set in the early days of the Batman universe), the show is on Fox. Fox, known as the channel that often kills any genre shows they air (whether they are good or not). So while I think the show can be intriguing, the fact that it is on Fox puts a strike on it for me because even if it is good it will probably get bailed on. Lets hope Fox finally sees that genre shows are huge right now and give this show a fair shot. The trailer for the show is here, and I am intrigued. Most peoples criticism that I have encountered so far is the inclusion of young versions of Riddler, Catwoman, and Penguin... but to me that is one of the cooler aspects of it. And a young Master Bruce... yup, I can get behind that. Anytime Donal Logue is involved in a project I am in. Ben McKenzie looks pretty great as a young Jim Gordon. And a mob boss that is a chick (Jada Pinkett Smith)? Yup, that is bold. The shows tone looks good, and since I am an ultimate Bat-fan I will give it a shot. But with the gauntlet being thrown down by Arrow (it has been great since episode 1 through two full seasons) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which started slow but has picked up immensely) Gotham better bring the A game. The show comes on this fall on Fox. Check out the trailer after the jump...

Proof That There Is A God: Dana Delany

I have been watching the 1993 western classic Tombstone over and for the past few weeks because it has been playing like crazy on HBO. I was immediately transported back to 1993, in my families Queens home, watching my illegal cable box. This magic box gave us all the pay per view movies we could watch, and basically they would make 3 movies available at a time on three channels and just loop them repeatedly. I must have watched Tombstone a billion times that two weeks when it was on Pay Per View. It is such a great movie. One of the all around greatest casts in movie history. Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday is amazing. Michael Biehn as Johnny Ringo. The shoot outs. The wild west settings. Billy FUCKING Zane & Brandon Walsh!!!!! But the one thing that always stuck out to me was the sexy actress Josephine Marcus that comes to Tombstone with Billy Zane, the lovely actress known as Dana Delany. What a sexy lady. Class personified. She would go on to have a long career behind the animated camera (she was often the voice of Lois Lane in DC animated films of the 90s/00s) and in front of the TV/Movie cameras as well (Exit to Eden, China Beach, Desperate Housewives, Body of Proof). I always loved that sexy lady... so here are a few shots to remember just how beautiful she really is!!!!

The Incredible Hulk TV Movies Get a Poster Via Sean Hartter

I haven't featured my boy Sean Hartter's work here on CCD because he hasn't been releasing stuff with his regular frequency as of late. I know that is because he is busy becoming a huge artist with international fame and fortune (remember CCD when you are living the life of a jet setting poster artist SH!), but this week he seems to be back on his grind posting stuff on his cool ass website. One of the coolest pieces he posted this week is his dual poster for the classic Marvel TV Series The Incredible Hulk. We get both The Return of the Incredible Hulk & The Trial of the Incredible Hulk... yup, both the 1st appearances of Thor & Daredevil!!! This is so freaking awesome... you gotta love this kind of stuff. Check out the full size poster after the jump...

Game of Thrones: Just the Sex & Nudity - A Supercut That Is Totally Not Safe For Work

Game of Thrones is heavy on sex and nudity... that is not necessarily a surprise to anyone who watches the show. But I really had no idea how much nudity occurred until I saw this crazy supercut video from the Huffington Post. This is extremely unsafe to WATCH AT WORK, unless your work in an environment where dwarfs banging hookers & incest amongst royals is encouraged... but when you get home tonight, check this one out! It is sure to make you smile and keep you anticipating Season 3. Video is after the jump...

The Friend-vengers

I am a real sucker for trailer mash-ups. I love when some up[ and coming video editor takes awesome footage from a current property and adds it to the music of an older movie or TV show credits. Last month we had an excellent Walking Dead opening credit sequence that used the theme song of Growing Pains, and this month we get a Friends style look at the Avengers universe. I would watch the shit out of this sitcom. Well played... Thanks to Jeff Bond for locating this one. Click after the jump for the full video...

I Can't Wait For Season 4 Of 'Sons Of Anarchy'

When we last left Jax Teller and his gang of misfit bikers they were about to start a year long prison sentence. Given the crazy state of things during Season 3, that 12 months in the slammer is probably a welcomed vacation for the members of SAMCRO. Anyway, news of Season 4 is beginning to come out. The show will air in the fall, usually it starts right after Labor Day. Also,Danny Trejo will be joining the cast... that can never be a bad thing. He is such an evil looking mother that he is a welcome addition to the motorcycle club drama. Here is the first look at the cast (whoever is left... gosh!) in a teaser poster, and it looks very olde fashion. I like it. How about you???

Sons of Anarchy is one of the best shows on TV. I can't wait to see where they go next. Looking forward to this puppy in the fall. Whats your opinion on S.O.A.? Tell us in the comment section below.

My New TV Obsession: Breakout Kings On A&E

Last night was the premiere episode of A & E's new TV program 'Breakout Kings', and boy am I hooked. The show comes from two of the writers/producers of 'Prison Break', which means they are familiar with the "con on the run" genre that Prison Break did better then any show I have ever seen. It is also executive produced & had its pilot directed by Gavin Hood, who despite fucking up the 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' movie a bit (What?... I kinda liked it, but no one else did) is an Academy Award winner for 'Tstotsi'. Basically it comes from good stock. That's always a start, no?

The cast is also quite capable. Laz Alonzo (Avatar) plays Charlie, the leader of a special branch of the U.S. Marshalls. He is joined by street cop Ray (played by Domenick Lombardozzi, or Dom from 'Entourage'!) and there job is to track down the toughest breakout guys to escape from jail. What better way then to recruit a few of the other hardest guys & gals that ever gave them a hard time after they escaped the big house? They get former Doctor and child progeny Lloyd (Jimmi Simpson), drug dealer Shea (Malcolm Goodwin), and con artist Philly (Nicole Steinwedell) to help the cause. The cast is funny and well chosen, and mesh together well. It has only been one episode but I am hooked.

It didn't hurt that in the previews of whats to come this season they dropped the name of a certain fugitive: Teddy 'T-Bag' Bagwell. Anybody who ever watched 'Prison Break' knows T-Bag well, and I am sure Robert Knepper's guest starring spot on this show is sure to bear some wonderful fruit. The guy is wonderful as the bad guy you love to hate, and he will make it happen. This one airs every Sunday @ 9 PM on A&E, so make sure you give it a gander. I know I will be.

Now This Is The Kinda Of Show I Would Watch Every Week

Check out this unbelievable new sport/competition that I can only hope becomes a national phenomenon... it's called the FWL, or Foam Weapons League for all you lames out there. This is for any of you people who ever whipped a fellow friend in the face with a pool noodle or all those guys who buy those awesome Nerf guns and shoot the shit out of each other (on a side note, my brother Anthony bought Mikey a Gatling Nerf gun for Christmas... 200 bullets at a time!!!). Imagine being able to re-create a Roman gladiator type environment with little to no risk of injury or death... I'm in!!! Their motto says it all - "Fake Blood... Real Fighting". Check out this cool video that gives you a peek into the wild world of FWL:

Holy. Fucking. Shit. They have a person named Donnybrook. That is sick. Now, all I'm saying is that with all of these dumb ass reality shows & other wastes of TV time get to air each week... so why not give this a shot? If I have to see one more group of ugly woman with money finding things to argue about or another cake/cupcake competition based show I'm going to get one of these fake foam Claymore swords and smack the shit out of a TV executive in the middle of their weekly board meeting. I am not saying that this would be a huge breakout hit (you never know, it might be)... but could it find a niche audience with geeks like me? Yup, that's a affirmative. You can check out the website for the FWL by clicking here and also friend them on Facebook

The Walking Dead... Gone Way To Soon!!!

So... I was going to post this on Monday, but I wanted to let a day pass for me to soak in the masterfulness (I don't think thats a word, but I don't give a fuck) that was the season 1 finale of The Walking Dead. It actually irks me to call the 6 & 1/2 episode mini series a "season", but thats what AMC is going with... so lets not argue semantics.

Rick & the crew...

I will say this. I am a huge fan of the original series (I read about the first 24 issues or so) and an even bigger fan of Robert Kirkman, the original comic book writer. The way he writes people is fanatstic. Perhaps the biggest mistake that people make is that this is a horror series. Sure, its based in horror, but it truly is a character study on human beings way more then just a shoot em up zombie adventure. But here is the catch: When they do the zombie stuff, they do it to death (literally)!!! There is no shortage of violence, gore and general zombie awesomeness on this show. Yet its all done in a wonderful context, and how the actions going on in this post apocalyptic world affect these survivors is pure harmony.

Issue #1... Where it all started

If I have one drawback on the show, its the fact that I have to wait until next October for the second "season". This can officially be called a "season" because we will have 13 episodes. I love this cast, especially Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. Thats my boy right there. Not to mention anytime someone finds a way to fit Norman Reedus into an ensemble cast, they are doing something right. Big ups to Frank Darabont and the crew for that one. Thanks for a great mini seri... er, I mean 1st season. Looking forward to much more to come!!! See you guys next October.

Zombie Attack!!!

5 "Lost" Themed Cakes... God, I Miss This Show!!!

I know all you Losties out there feel it too... its an empty feeling when watching these TV shows now a days. No matter how great Paz de la Huerta's tits look bouncing on Boardwalk Empire, or how many zombies Rick Grimes takes a pick axe to the head of in The Walking Dead, nor how many celeb filled cameo mashups the sexy bitches (and the guys as well) of Glee sing each week.... it all just falls short. So since I am a fat ass, and a Lost geek of epic proportions, I decided to show you guys 5 of the coolest "Lost" themed cakes I have ever seen. Check it out... and tell me what you guys miss about Lost the most in the comment section below.
