I am eagerly on the edge of my seat awaiting 'The Campaign'. It is my sleeper summer hit, my 'Scott Pilgrim' of two years ago & my 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' from last year... movies that should be great, look great, but aren't hyped up as much as the big popcorn flicks of the summer. Getting a comedy featuring Zach Galifiianakis & Will Ferrell in which they are battling each other in a hotly contested political race? Yup... I am in. To promote the movie Will & Zach are acting completely like themselves and taking on children in a mock debate over at Funny or Die. Once again Funny or Die does not disappoint!!! How 'The Dark Knight Rises' Really Ended... The Unseen Final Battle Between Bane & Batman!!!

Funny or Die is known for creating humorous parody videos and funny clips starring celebrities of various fame & stature. But in this one instance it seems they are taking the role of expose news, as they have apparently unearthed the 1st footage of an alternate ending of The Dark Knight Rises. In this version the final results between the Bane/Batman showdown are quite different from both the finished movie & the original comic books the movie is based on. It is quite shocking that this is the direction Nolan originally wanted to take, but those who have seen the actual film know that he scrapped this and went in a different direction. CCOKC: Getting All Up In Kirk Cameron's Ass!!!

The team over at Funny or Die hardly ever disappoint, as their clips tend to be absolutely hilarious. The thing I love the most about the clips is they tend to go out and round up some really cool people to make the videos. Yeah they get the big stars, but its the obscure actors/actresses that they get that always makes for the best clips. Case in point: This PSA from the lovely folks over at CCOKC, or Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron. These once famous actors from shows like Step by Step, Mr. Belvedere, Out of This World and movies like Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead are taking a stand against Kirk Cameron and his ridiculous takes on things like homosexuality. They stand up for the gays and give Kirk a piece of their mind... and bring the funny in the process. Not to mention that Josie Davis from Charles In Charge could get it... wow, how did she end up hotter than Nicole Eggert??? Anyway, this might be just what was needed to set Cameron straight... nothing like a CCOKC pestering you to change your outlook on gays, right?

Field Of Dreams 2: The NFL Lockout Edition

This video has apparently been out for about a week, but I just saw it on ESPN this morning and it cracked me up. It features Taylor Lautner of Twilight fame as a second coming of Kevin Costner's Field Of Dreams character. He builds a football field in the middle of Iowa and all of the sudden locked out NFL superstars start showing up. Hijinks ensues.... very funny stuff. I love Ray Lewis tackling the shit out of everyone. Much better then his old practice of murdering people during Super Bowl weekend. You gotta love the cameos from vets such as Ray Liotta (who was in the real Field Of Dreams) and Dennis Haysbert as well... and Marielle Jaffe can get it!!!! Look for the special cameo at the end. Iron Mike Tyson Makes The Rounds For Oscar Time

I love the fact that Mike Tyson is finding his sense of humor in his retired years. After co-starring in The Hangover and appearing on Entourage, he has appeared in a ton of sketches for websites like Break.com and Funny or Die. Now that it was Oscar time, it seemed like Mike was the go to guy for some of the funnier skits to come out in the last few days. In case you missed them, here they are.

First, we got Funny or Die's "Oscar Talk with Leonard Maltin" that features Mr. Maltin discussing this years Oscar nominees with the former champ... and as expected the results are hysterical.

For The Academies Consideration: Piranha 3-D, Is It Oscar Worthy?

Following in the rich tradition of Joe Dante's 1978 cult classic Piranha and the 1981 James Cameron film Piranha II: The Spawning (Yeah THAT James Cameron... it was his first film) comes Alex Aja's Piranha 3-D. This whole movie has awesome written all over it. In my opinion, horror movies are the genre that translates best to 3-D since they have the most jump moments and great possibilities for extending the disgusting level to epic proportions by making it jump off the screen. I am really looking forward to this film in the next few weeks. Anyway, the cast, lead by the comprable Jerry O'Connell teamed up with the funny guys over at Funny or Die came up with a compilation video of why the Academy should consider their film for an Oscar... and any Oscar will do. This is great, and even though its tongue and cheek, they make some good points. Watch your back Pixar!!! Commercially Acclaimed Vol#9 - K-Swiss Tubes Featuring Kenny Powers

TV commercials are a part of our everyday lives as TV viewers. Even though Tivo and DVR have allowed us to "skip through" the commercials, the advertising companies a still trying to peak our interests by coming up with creative commercials. To me, great commercials are an art form and are under appreciated by a society that is always trying to speed through things. Think about it... how many times did you see a great commercial that made you laugh hysterically or want to go out and purchase the advertised product??? And how many times has the best part of the Super Bowl been the commercials during a blow out game??? Whether you want to admit it or not, commercials are cool as shit... and here are some of my favorites.

I am a big fan of Danny McBride, and have been since I saw The Foot Fist Way (hysteical!!!). That movie made me realize that I was looking at a future star of the comedic industry. He furthered my high opinion of him with his HBO show Eastbound and Down, the story of disgraced former MLB pitcher Kenny Powers returning to his childhood hometown to become a gym teacher. The show is hysterical and one of the highlights of the upcoming Fall 2010 TV seasons for me (the show starts back up in Sept). In order to push Kenny Powers back into the public, McBride has teamed up with footwear company K Swiss and some real athletes to endorse their new shoes, Tubes, which are specifically engineered for training. Powers taunts and belittles these professional atheletes with nonsensical comments that only anger them into training harder... but to no suprise, Kenny still makes them feel like failures. Check these commercials out, and big up to K Swiss for thinking outside the box for this Kenny Powers/ Real athelete mashups. Enjoy!
