Super Golden Friends by Kevin Bapp

I was over at Topless Robot (wow, Rob does run a great site!) and I seen this awesome animated trailer that mashes up Super Friends with the Golden Girls. I honestly didn't wake up this morning ever thinking that I was going to type a line like that... but running a blog like CCD makes things like that possible! I love quirky videos like this, and you gotta love the character choices. Superman as Blanche is probably the funniest...  It seems the animation was rotoscoped over the actual opening credits of the show ala A Scanner Darkly/The Polar Express (I am fairly certain that the Superman/Blanche sache and Robin/Sophia at the front door were exact scenes from the opening scene) Check out the video after the jump!!!

The Funniest Modern Warfare Commercial You Never Seen!!!

Wow... wow. This is a great discovery. I was over at the great Topless Robot (aka Geek Heaven) website and saw that Rob posted this awesome alternate cut of a Modern Warfare commercial featuring Sam Worthington & Jonah Hill (does this cat have cancer or something? This weight loss shit doesn't look healthy on him B). To me, this is not an outtake from their great regular commercial for the game that we have all seen on TV... it seems this is a completely different (albeit filled with profanity) funny as shit take on the whole "Vet & Noob" team. This is by far the funniest thing I have seen turned out by a mainstream company. Please take a minute and a half out of your day so that Jonah Hill can put a smile on your face by watching this video after the jump...

This is a funny video from Dorkly featuring Arthur of the 'Ghost n Goblins' franchise haggling with his blacksmith over the armor he just purchased. I'm not sure if this dialogue was in the original game (wink wink), but it is extremely true and very funny. Kudos to Rob at Topless Robot for finding this one. Hysterical 8-bit humor.

I think this picture is super funny... had to share it after seeing it on Topless Robot. While I can find a million things to point out that are absolutely hysterical, I think Iron Man wearing green Hawaiian trunks OVER his full Iron Man armor. C'mon man... why not have him with just the helmet on so that he can fit in? That would have been less ridiculous... if that's possible !   

Katee Sackoff + Toys + Talking BSG = Nerd Boners Galore!!!

Here is the always sexy Katee Sackoff from Battlestar Gallatica talking about her role as Starbuck and playing with a very high end replica of her Viper from the show. Check the vid below and wait for the suprise cameo at the end!

'The Batman Complex' Is Something You Need To Watch If You Love Nolan's Dark Knight

Here is a cool fan made trailer that is making the rounds on all the big geek sites ( /Film, Topless Robot, etc)... which means I usually wouldn't have posted it since those guys had it covered. But this one is to cool to ignore. Here you go:

The gist of the idea revolves around a few fun topics, mainly the whole “what is real?” train of thought, and also every fans desire, deep down or upfront, to be Batman at least once in their lives. LOL. And so, I tried to craft a story where we see what happens when someone takes their dream of being Batman a little bit too far. An idea, after all, is a truly resilient parasite. ;)

While some of it is still left a bit ambiguous (both unintentionally and intentionally – while there’s only so much that can be strung together, I often like to leave a little bit open so as to see what fellow fans are able to imagine/create)… I wanted to focus more on the character aspects (and a bit of the tragedy as well), and attempt to move past the initial shock of the psychological twist. One aspect I tried to hint at was the paralleling descent of both Bruce and Cobb. As Cobb and the team go deeper into Bruce’s mind, they start to encounter the truly dark issues that his subconscious houses. As a result, Cobb himself gets caught up in the obsession of all that lingers in the mind of a Batman. There are a couple fun things in there that are best left to surprise, but all in all, I’m relatively happy with how it turned out. It’s fairly fast paced and doesn’t leave much room to breath, which helps amplify the tension I think. But that’s just me.

Inception, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight & The Machinist all in one? YES PLEASE!!! Would you watch this? Please leave some comments in the section below!!!

Finally, This Is What Wily Kit & Wily Kat Will Look Like In The New Thundercats Cartoon (Maybe...)

These are the toy mock ups for the youngest Thundarians out of the group, Wily Kit & Wily Kat. The twins were missing from some earlier leaked drawings from the new show, but if this toy is any indication than this is what they should look like. It fits  well with the heavy anime styling that they have chosen for this reboot. What do you guys think about these wonder twins? Tell us in the coment section below. The Tron Lebowski... Finally!

College Humor finally makes a video that mashes up Jeff Bridges' two most well known roles: The Dude from 'The Big Lebowski' & Kevin Flynn from 'Tron'!!!! I love them both, and have featured a cool mashup poster of the two that was made in the past. But this is what I have been waiting for. Thanks again College Humor & Rob over at Topless Robot for being such a 'Tron' geek!

Demonic Possesion... There's An App For That!!!

Check out this cool trailer (brought to us by Topless Robot) for the upcoming Apple Ipod/Ipad/Iphone Evil Dead game. Wow. Just wow. It has a certain Wii goofiness in its look, but the people who have created it said there will be gore... lots of gore. To quote Rob over at Topless "Thats an awfully big head to cut off with a chainsaw!". We are lookng forward to this... just another reason to buy an Ipad (as if I needed more reasons!). The game/app will be available in the Apple Itunes App Store sometime in the near future. Stay tuned for a specific release date.
