'The Lord of the Crumbs' - A Hobbit x Sesame Street Collaboration

Sesame Street has been educating and entertaining children for over 40+ years, and the way they stay relevant is by taking the pulse of what is popular in the world and relating it to the children they are targeting with their programming. They have done so for years, and continue to do so in epic fashion. In honor of the upcoming release of The Hobbit 2: The Desolation of Smaug, Cookie Monster takes a trip to Middle Earth in The Lord of the Crumbs! Check out this awesome collaboration video that features Gandalf, Galadriel, and many other familiar facets of J. R. R. Tolkien's epic adventure. Sesame Street keeps it going once again... enjoy!

Sesame Street Fighter by Gavacho 13

I have come across many mashups in my day, but when my boy Jeff Bond posted this on Facebook I just knew I had to share it with the CCD community. Deviant Artist Gavacho 13 (aka Matt Crane) decided to take every bodies favorite children's show, Sesame Street, and mashed it up with the characters of the greatest fighting video game franchise of all time, Street Fighter. Horror Art Meets Puppets by Lord Netsua

Lord Netsua has a Deviant Art page that is LOADED with horrific drawings of monsters and mayhem. But the two pieces that stuck out two me had to be his mashups between horror and the puppets of Sesame Street. The first picture is a movie poster for A Nightmare on Sesame Street featuring Elmo, and the second is a drawing featuring monstrous versions of Grover, Cookie Minster, and The Count. Kermit The Frog Live From The Black Carpet Of The Pirates of the Carribean Movie Premiere

Big Bird, Oscar The Grouch & Gary Gnu... CCD Meets The Puppets Of Our Childhood @ The 2010 NYC Comic Con

The first stop the CCD crew made on its trip to the 2010 NYC Comic Con was at the table of Caroll Spinney and Jim Martin. Now you guys may not know who those guys are, but I gurantee you know exactly who the characters they played are. Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch have been brought to life for over 40 years by Spinney, and Martin was everyones favorite newscaster Gary Gnu from The Great Space Coaster. Being heroes of our childhood, it was a no brainer to stop by their table and chat with the fellas. Check out Tommy L as he interviews two guys who influenced his childhood immensely:

  

They were at the show to promote the ToonSeum in Pittsburg, PA. The ToonSeum is an anamation museum that seems to be a great reason to head down to Pittsburg and see some great stuff. We are planning our trip now. Caroll Spinney's own art show will be beginning on Nov 6th and running through January, so make sure you guys get down their and show some support.
