I always like the original comics over at Dorkly, but this might be one of the funniest ones I can remember seeing. George R.R. Martin may very well be the most beloved and hated man by the same people in the world... people adore his books and the HBO show based on it, yet hate him mercilessly for the excessive waiting that he puts people through in between books. People also seem to hate him for the uncanny ability he has to kill of seemingly main characters on a whim. This comic plays on both of those things, with a bit of a Christmas twist. A perfect wrap up of the holidays (see what I did there... holiday/wrap... I'm a genius). Make sure to check back to Dorkly's awesome comic pages often, and check out the full comic after the jump...

I'm Dreaming Of A Red Christmas: A Christmas Story of Fire & Ice by Anna Marie Jung & Andrew Bridgman

Revenge of the Red Shirts
I came across this awesome photo over at Dorkly .com and wanted to try and suss out more of a backstory by going to the original page where it was posted, but I have spent the last 45 minutes surfing over at the DrediKnight's webpage and found no site of it amidst the reggae and snowboarding pics that dot the page. But even though I couldn't get a backstory on this awesome photo, it doesn't take much information to know that this may be one of the greatest examples of group cosplay in the history of conventions. the Red Shirts are the poor souls who are members of Star Fleet and are usually the ones who die on Star Trek. They are the expendable henchmen that keep the crew in working order for the writers who have to kill someone, and can't exactly kill of Captain Kirk or Spock. JJ Abrams also gave them a nod in his film when all the cadets (including a young Kirk & Spock) wore Red Shirts while they were at Star Fleet Academy. But where do all those dead Red Shirts go... or better yet, where do they go once they have risen from the dead??? Comic Con of course!!!! Check out this dope photo after the jump...

Sonic, Lord of the Rats
This is a fantastic digital short from the dudes over at Dorkly that kind of shines a light on what might happen in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog when he releases one of those animal traps of Dr. Wiley. Maybe Wiley isn't so evil after all... and maybe Sonic is regretting helping out this particular group of furry creatures after all. My favorite part? Has to be when Sonic tells Tails to cover his genitals!!! Love this video... check it out after the jump....

What Do The Avengers Talk About On Facebook?
Leave it to Dorkly to let us know what the answer to that question is. Since I am not friends with Cap, Thor, Fury, or any of the other team members, their convos don't come up in my feed. But now that I know all I gotta do to get me Black Widow in my life is talk nice and provide foot massages... well, I'm getting my ass to the Helicarrier and trying to get in there!!! Check out the full conversation threads after the jump...

Iron Man's Drunk Again...
I love the videos that the guys over at Dorkly post, mostly because they take cool nerd tidbits and turn them into classic originals. Take this riff on Marvel vs. Capcom that has Spidey calling on Iron Man for a teammate assist, only for Tony to show up all 'Demon In A Bottle-d' up and unable to help at all. Love the Jill Valentine cameo as well... Check out the video after the jump.

10 Awesomely Sexy Gender Swapping Cosplayers From SDCC 2012
Cosplay is reaching all new heights with every convention that comes and goes. More companies are making kick ass costumes, people are becoming better at creating costumes themselves, and the creativity level has gone far past the norms of just silly Superman's & Batman's. But one of the coolest things that is happening more and more is gender swapping costumes. I am noticing more and more gender swapped characters at these things, and to be honest its a trend I am digging in full. Think about it... there are mad male characters for girls to slut up, and I would much rather see a sexy Chewbacca or Thor than a chubby nerd in those roles (even though most of those nerds have cool costumes as well!). So I decided to peruse the galleries of Cosplayers that were posted over at Dorkly and highlight the top 10 gender swaps that appeared at this years comic con in San Diego. Prepare for the sexiness... enjoy the pics after the jump!

Hermit Wants To Haggle: A Legend of Zelda Fan Film
I recently downloaded Legend of Zelda onto my Wii counsel to see if it still had the same replay value, and even though it has been over 25+ years since its release the game is still awesome. But it all starts right at the begining with that first screen, and entering the cave to get that first sword. Inside you meet The Hermit, and he gives you your first sword for nothing. But what if The Hermit was a bit of a salesman, and decided to try and offer you a few more items? This question is answered in just another awesome Dorkly video. These guys really just keep em coming... check the video after the jump...
