A To Z Blogger Challenge 2013: Day 17 - Q Is For Quarantine

Now that we are crossing into the later stages of the A to Z Blogger Challenge, I am going back to the genre I love... horror! One of the more suprising horror movies that I seen in the last few years had to be Quarantine, which is an English remake of the Spanish film REC. Not very often does a remake capture the essence of the original foreign film, but this one gets it right. The American version stars the very sexy Jennifer Carpenter, who I really love from Dexter. She has a very unique look and I think she is pretty bad ass... and I love her bad mouth. She is so sexy when she curses. Love this chick. These Dexter x Look/See Sun Glasses Will Turn Some Heads... And Maybe Get You Questioned By The Police!!!

I love me some Dexter. I have watched every season of the show and I am gearing up to blow through the original novels as we speak now that they are on my tablet in a digital format (thanks for that little extra Joe Fletch!). Usually we see some cross over merchandise to help promote a brand and a show, but rarely do you run across a product as cool as these sunglasses from Look/See that are clearly Dexter related. They might not be for everyone given the fact that they are white and feature blood splatters all over... but the set is actually quite impressive for the super Dexter fan in your life! They are limited to 500 sets and each set comes with the glasses, a carry case, a blood slide storage case that actually features removable slides (wtf?) and is individually numbered (1/500, 2/500, etc). The glasses also fetaure little nods to the show like the small syringe on the inside bar of the glasses. You might get stopped and questioned for wearing these, but the only summons you will get is for being fresh to death! you can order them by clicking here and see many more detailed pics of the glasses after the jump....

'I'd Buy That...As A Tee' Volume 4 by Jeff Bond

Spring has sprung and I could use a few new unique T-Shirts to really make a statement without saying a word. A Statement like "I'm a geek that doesn't take much of anything seriously...I'm approachable and easily abused."

Here's some of the T-shirts I have my eye on to do just the trick but, there's only one problem....they aren't for sale yet! Please click the links below to the Threadless.com (my favoritest and most user friendly t-shirt contribution site) voting pages for each and give these beauties '5' ratings so I can throw 'em on my charge card one day.

Monster Serie 2 portrays this plain jane, house frau packin' a mean machine gun.

Imposter imagines what might be hiding under M & M's candy-coated shell.....the candy-coated shell of a Skittles candy!

Steampunk Jessica mashes up two of my faves...the "Steampunk" genre and Roger's main squeeze from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'....

'I'd Buy That...As a Tee!' ...Volume 3 by Jeff Bond

Spring has sprung and I could use a few new unique T-Shirts to really make a statement without saying a word. A Statement like "I'm a geek that doesn't take much of anything seriously...I'm approachable and easily abused."

Here's some of the T-shirts I have my eye on to do just the trick but, there's only one problem....they aren't for sale yet! Please click the links below to the  Threadless.com voting pages for each and give these beauties '5' ratings so I can throw 'em on my charge card one day.

'Bigfoot Spotted On....' Endor! Only that's NO 'Bigfoot' that's the one and only Chewbacca milling about amongst the shrubbery. I love that if you actually do cozy up a bit closer to 'Read What Locals Are Saying' as the t-shirts suggests, you'll find nothing but, the native language of the cute and cuddly Ewoks! Unless, of course, you read 'Ewok'...than please feel free to translate for me in the comment section below

'Insane For Brain' is a play on the Cypress Hill lyric, of course..but, this shirt would look kinda loco plastered around my chest cavity when I'm front and center for the next season of 'Walking Dead' on AMC!

Fro Is Back At It... And This Time It's Dexter!!!

I just finished up Season 5 of Dexter and I have to say that it is consistently one of the best shows I watch. It is amazing. I did a post on artist Fro Design's Lost art work the other day, and when I was perusing his site I came across these four Dexter pictures. He did these in honor of Michael C Hall beating cancer... which makes them even better. There were 20 of each of them... and you might be able to still score one by clicking here and checking out his prints for sale page. Very good stuff. Hope you enjoy...

Dexter's Labora..... Er,Um.... Killing Room

I love this mash up of Dexter's Laboratory & everyones favorite serial killer/forensic expert Dexter from the Showtime show. Two of my all time faves. Although I have seen the two mixed before (nice shirt Jeff!!!) but never in action figure format. Is that a Powder Puff Girl on the kill table? I always knew those bitches were up to no good... gotta love the slice on the cheek as well, no? Thanks to Unreality Mag for the tip and Rafa Gnomo for being so innovative!!! Enjoy!!!

Is This Dexter's New Adversary... or His New Chick???

Coming off the heels of a John Lithgow's Emmy winning performance for 'Best Supporting Actor' in season 4 of one of my favorite shows,  'Dexter',  Showtime has issued a press release touting 'Julia Stiles' as next seasons guest star. The actress, best known for her work in Matt Damon's 'Bourne' series and 'Save The Last Dance' which has been known to air all weekend, every weekend... ad nauseum on cable.

"LOS ANGELES, CA June 7, 2010 – Julia Stiles has joined the cast of SHOWTIME’s Emmy-nominated drama series DEXTER.  Stiles, who will appear in ten episodes in the upcoming fifth season, will play a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife.  Production on season five begins this month and will premiere in the fall on SHOWTIME."

A 'unique relationship', eh? Will she be....

A) a young murderous protege' of Dexter's?
B) a sexy new temptress who helps Dexter get over the death of his wife, Rita.
C) a hot new police officer that wears a pair of slacks better than Dexter's sister, Debra.
D) All of the above

What say you?

It's Dexter Morgan's Laboratory

The great folks over at TeeFury make a new T Shirt every 24 hours... and most of the time, they are wondeful. The other day, I featured a Batman and Robin T Shirts that was phenmomenal. I try to put up a shirt over a couple weeks, but when I saw this shirt I couldn't resist. A mash up of two of my all time favorite shows, Showtime's favorite serial killer drama Dexter and Cartoon Network's seminal 90's classic Dexter's Laboratory. The white shirt makes the blood really pop off the shirt, and the artist even put the coroner glasses on Dexter to keep the blood out of his eyes and make hime look even more like the kid scientist. This shirt is available in Mens and Womens, and they have a full size run (s to xxl) available. The shirt is only going to be around untill 12 midnight tonight (4/1/2010), so hurry over a snap this one up... and for just $11.00 including the shipping, you can't go wrong. Shout out to Teevil and the rest of the gang over at TeeFury... you guys are amazing.
