Could This Have Been/ Be The Deadpool - Ryan Reynolds Movie We Missed Out On?

Man oh man, If it is than we have gotten the hose. If Ryan Reynolds is anything, it is dedicated. Even after being turned into the biggest joke of a character in Wolverine: Origins anyone in the history of comic book movies has had to endure, he is willing to don the Deadpool mask in a full on feature. Why? I have no idea... after the way the character was treated I wouldn't trust them. But anytime he is asked about the possibility of the movie he mentions he would love to do it. I find this weird, but I always thought he was perfect for the Merc With A Mouth. Now immediately following Comic Con we get some conveniently "leaked" test footage of what could have been capable with Reynolds under the red hood... and you know, with a mouth to wise crack away would be cool too. All in all, great stuff. Even Rob Liefeld himself co-signed the authenticity of the video. In his Tweet rampage yesterday Liefeld said that Reynolds shot the whole scene mo-cap and then had the suit layered over it in post. You Can Finally See Edgar Wright's 'Ant Man' Footage From SDCC... Kinda Sorta!!!!

I have been salivating to get a shot a seeing Edgar Wright's Ant Man test footage from San Diego Comic Con 2012 since the day after it aired and he 'Net nearly exploded talking about it. As a fan of the character in general, the Robert Kirkman 'Irredeemable Ant Man' comic series, and Edgar Wright as a film maker in general this is the perfect storm for me. But Marvel has been chincy with releasing the material (for once they should take a page out of DC Comics playbook from when they leaked that Blue Beatle test footage to much fan fare) and since Avengers just came & went on Blu Ray without it appearing (there was a rumor it would be a special feature on there) it seems like we might never actually see it. But artist Samurai Jack (someone we have featured here on CCD before) was in attendance at the panel back in August, so he decided to storyboard and animate what he saw on the big screen. This is the closest we are gonna get to the footage for now, and going from what I heard sounds ALOT like what was really shown. Way to show iniative Samurai!!! Check out the clip after the jump....

'The Prototype' - A New Film From The Bandito Brothers

The Bandito Brothers were responsible for one of the surprise action movie hits of last year, 'Act of Valor'. That movie featured real life Navy Seals as the actors, and because of that there was an extreme credibility & sincerity in the way it was executed. There next project is a very cool looking action flick called The Prototype, which features a human with robot elements that escapes his government handlers and is trying to evade capture. I love the look of the suit... it reminds me a lot of the 80's version of Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe. This is a teaser just meant to highlight the story and secure funding, so most (or all for that matter) of this footage wont even see the time of day. But this is definitely a great way to spend 3 and a half minutes... Thanks to Jedi rob for the assist!!! Video is embedded after the jump...
