The Joker Eats A Snickers Bar...
I have always giggled at those stupid Snickers commercials that show a group of people with one of them being some celebrity acting nuts, like Joe Pesci or Robin Williams. Then their friends tell them to eat a Snickers cause they get nuts when they are hungry, and viola.. the person is back to their regular self as they enjoy their nuget-y goodness. But in the latest commercial from the candy company we get a visit from The Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker himself. A cool nerd twist to the commercial series. Gotta love that this Joker is in the style of Caesar Romero's Joker from the Batman '66 TV show. Enjoy it after the jump...

Go Daddy & JCVD Present The Baker....
Probably the best commercial I have seen in a long time. And honestly, I am super happy for Jean Claude Van Damme. First his documentary JCVD came out and was awesome, then he killed as the villain in Expendables 2. Now he is poking fun at his extreme athletic ability and awesome split execution skills... and even though the commercial doesn't make any fucking sense, who cares? JCVD playing various instruments while taunting a regular working man... how great is that? Another hysterical spot from Go Daddy, mission complete one 30 second spot at a time. Check out the full commercial after the jump...

After Watching These Korean TV Commercials, I Am Extremely Proud To Be American...
I like crazy videos as much as the next guy. Especially if those videos are from another country... and just happen to be regularly broadcast TV commercials in those other countries. But after watching this batch of commercials from Korea over on Youtube, I might have to rethink my practices for my own sanity. On just 7 short minutes my mind in relation to product promotion has been completely blown. Farting dolls? Sausage crusted pizza? Robocop robbing a family dinner & household appliances? Yup... all of those things happen and much more. Check out this video after the jump if you are feeling unpatriotic... cause after this you will definitely be proud to be an American!

Adidas's 'Quick Family' Commercial: A$AP Rocky, John Wall, Damon Lillard & Jrue Holiday Get Down...
Sneakers are my passion, and I love them so. Over 200 pairs in my current collection, and countless pairs have come and gone over the years. One company I have always admired but only owned a handful of shoes from would be Adidas. I am not a huge fan of the look of their kicks, but I have always loved there marketing campaigns. This is the company that embraced hip hop and ran with it when Run DMC decided to rock their Adidas with no laces, long before any other major company wanted to fuck with hip hop. So when I see a great commercial, I gotta show it love. A$AP Rocky is one of the best new rappers making music right now, and he is the featured artist in a new commercial featuring NBA players John Wall, Damon Lillard & Jrue Holiday. These three are supreme young talents and they feature some crazy moves in the Adidas CrazyQuick model. The sneakers aren't that great looking to rock fashion wise (sorry, not for me) but look to be a good balling shoe... and the commercial is cool as hell. Enjoy the full video after the jump...

Fresh Perspectives: So This Is Where The Idea For Those AT & T Commercials With The Kids Came From!!!!
I have been totally enamored by the AT & T commercials that have been airing over the past few months with comedian Beck Bennett starring as a straitlaced guy in a suit asking a group of kindergarten students what they think is better, fast or slow (as in the speed of 4G internet service on mobile devices). The kids give honest, rambling, answers... typical of what you would expect from a 5 year old. All the while Bennett is playing the straight man, and his low key reactions and statements back to the children are hysterical. My favorite is the Werewolf one (click here to see it). Something this funny and original couldn't have come from a corporate company like AT & T, so I did a bit of research. Turns out that the commercials are based on a sketch Youtube program that Beck Bennett ran called Fresh Perspectives. In the show Bennett and a 5 year old sit together in chairs and discuss major political and social topics, such as gay marriage, the Trayvon Martin shooting, and the Republican nomination for president. The results are no short of fantastic. These kids are hysterical, and Bennett is as condescending and sarcastic as ever. Great stuff from a cool comedian. Good to see great ideas get the mainstream treatment sometimes. Out of the mouths of babes.... really funny stuff. You can see all the Fresh Perspective clips over at Beck Bennett's Youtube page by clicking here, and check out my faves after the jump...

Grey Poupon: The Lost Footage
I have very fond memories of TV commercials from my childhood. After all, I grew up in the last era before cable TV took over, and networks were the only outlet for advertisers to get their message out to their prospective customers. If you talk to anybody who watched TV during the 80s they would instantly know sayings like "Where's the Beef?", "Pardon me, are those Bugle Boy jeans your wearing?" and "Mikey Likes It!!" from the commercials they appeared in. But one of the most well known catch line and commercials has to be the two proper English gentleman being driven in Rolls Royce's through the countryside when one asks the other "Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?"Who doesn't know that one? Well, last night during the Oscars they aired a very cool update on that commercial, called 'Grey Poupon: The Lost Footage'. You can't just abscond with a man's jar of Grey Poupon and not expect repercussions... LOL. The new commercial is amazing, and it holds true to the spirit of the old commercial while poking fun at itself just enough to make us laugh. Well done Grey Poupon... well done indeed! Mike D's Favorite 2013 Super Bowl Commercials
I have a longstanding tradition of being a monstrous football fan, so the Super Bowl is always really important to me regardless of who the teams playing are. But lets be honest. As a pop culture junkie and TV aficionado extraordinaire, I am also a huge fan of the TV commercials that accompany the game as well. I am going to share my faves with you from this year, in no particular order. All the commercials were great, but these are the ones that stood out to me... enjoy my picks after the jump!

"I Like You Siri, Your Going Places" - Martin Scorsese's IPhone Commercial
I am not an Apple convert. I am not a big fan of the Ipad or Iphone, even though I am sure they are perfectly great gadgets. I know most people who join the cult of Apple very rarely venture back to the outside. But I am an Android gut through & through. But just cause I worship at the alter of Google doesn't mean I can't admire great advertising when I see. it. Here is the newest Iphone commercial, this one featuring Martin Scorsese. I love the NYC setting, Marty's NYC personality, and it happens to be the same cab number as Travis Bickle's cab number from Taxi Driver. Now that is great advertising!!! Check out the full ad after the jump...

Game On, World by Nike +
Video Games are no longer a fringe entertainment, they have gone extremely mainstream. Characters & game situations are recognized by many a person young and old... show a person who doesn't know who Mario is or doesn't know what a warp pipe does, and I will show you someone who has lived under a rock for the past 30 years. Nike recognized this, and decided to appeal to the gamers inside all of us to sell us on the new Nike + athletic program. They use recognizable situations from some of the greatest games of all time (Mario Brothers, Donkey Kong, etc) to show what it is like to work out in the brave new world of Nike +. The gang at Nike always makes fantastic commercials, and this one is no exception. Well done... check out the full video after the jump.

The X Games: The Takeover Trailer
The X Games are no longer small potatoes... these alternative 'Olympics' have probably eclipsed the traditional Olympics in terms of youth viewers and its appeal is far reaching. That leads ESPN, the host channel, to spend a boatload of cash on the promotion for the event every year. This years Summer X Games have a very cool TV spot airing called 'The Takeover' which features some cool animation and the athletes (dirt bikers, skateboarders, etc) doing their thing. It is pretty awesome. A dope commercial for a dope event. Check out the full video after the jump....

So That Is What's In Kelly Brook's Bra....
If you don't know who Kelly Brook is, you are about to get a hell of an introduction. The British bombshell is a hottie, no doubt about that. She will be making her own "Proof That There Is A God" debut here on CCD in the next few days, but I had to post this commercial for the English charity "Sports Relief". It features Kelly looking smashing, wearing red from head to toe, and showing off her pair of aces (wink, wink) to perfection. If they keep vids like this coming, I would LOVE to donate something to her cause... Click after the jump for the full commercial.

Commercially Acclaimed Vol #25: Kate Upton Love Meat In Her Mouth
TV commercials are a part of our everyday lives as TV viewers. Even though Tivo and DVR have allowed us to "skip through" the commercials, the advertising companies are still trying to peak our interests by coming up with creative commercials. To me, great commercials are an art form and are under appreciated by a society that is always trying to speed through things. Think about it... how many times did you see a great commercial that made you laugh hysterically or want to go out and purchase the advertised product??? And how many times has the best part of the Super Bowl been the commercials during a blow out game??? Whether you want to admit it or not, commercials are cool as shit... and here are some of my favorites.

The Funniest Modern Warfare Commercial You Never Seen!!!
Wow... wow. This is a great discovery. I was over at the great Topless Robot (aka Geek Heaven) website and saw that Rob posted this awesome alternate cut of a Modern Warfare commercial featuring Sam Worthington & Jonah Hill (does this cat have cancer or something? This weight loss shit doesn't look healthy on him B). To me, this is not an outtake from their great regular commercial for the game that we have all seen on TV... it seems this is a completely different (albeit filled with profanity) funny as shit take on the whole "Vet & Noob" team. This is by far the funniest thing I have seen turned out by a mainstream company. Please take a minute and a half out of your day so that Jonah Hill can put a smile on your face by watching this video after the jump...

This weeks spot features two amazing actors, Joe Pesci & Don Rickles craving candy bars that can satisfy their hunger. I love these Snicker commercials, especially the past ones that featured Betty White & Abe Vigoda and Aretha Franklin. Very good idea, and this one is no exception. "What do you model... gloves?" That's priceless. Check it out:
