The Joker Eats A Snickers Bar...

I have always giggled at those stupid Snickers commercials that show a group of people with one of them being some celebrity acting nuts, like Joe Pesci or Robin Williams. Then their friends tell them to eat a Snickers cause they get nuts when they are hungry, and viola.. the person is back to their regular self as they enjoy their nuget-y goodness. But in the latest commercial from the candy company we get a visit from The Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker himself. A cool nerd twist to the commercial series. Gotta love that this Joker is in the style of Caesar Romero's Joker from the Batman '66 TV show. Enjoy it after the jump...

SOLD! The One And Only Batmobile Auctioned

This is a bit corny and stupid but so could be the series that this car starred in. One of a kind. Is George Bariss, the creator loaded or just a bit loopy? I found the whole excitement to be a bit much for me as that auctioneer's voice refused to give out. But this might be the last time you see this car as it probably ended up in some reclusive billionaire's private car collection. Taken to Dubai to rust in the hot sun. NO NO NO...this car needs the moisture of the Batcave. Check out the video after the jump...

Defective by Glennz

The original 60's Batman TV series was a camp classic, filled with guest stars and word bubbles describing the action. It is one of my fondest memories of TV watching as a child... anywho, the show spawned a full length feature that is a dream come true for a fan of the show because it is like three episodes in one and features all four of Batman's most notorious villains (Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, and Catwoman). It also contains one of the most memorable "Bat-Moments" of all time in which Batman is attacked by a shark and tries to fight it off with his bare hands. He is only successful in ridding himself of the shark when Robin passes him a can of "Shark Repellent"... it is so ridiculous that it has become a touchstone moment in pop culture history! T-shirt artist Glennz decided to use this scene as inspiration for his newest shirt, "Defective". Great shirt in memory of a great team...

Happy Dragon Pictures Gives The 1966 Batman Opening Credits A New Spin

I am a huge fan of the 1966 Batman TV series starring Adam West, and I have been thoroughly enjoying the replays of it on the awesome channel The Hub. But when I came across this re-imagining of the animated opening credits sequence from Happy Dragon Pictures, my jaw hit the floor. These guys subbed in all of the characters from Chris Nolan's Bat-verse and it looks totally rad. See the full video after the jump...

Wait... What You Talkin' Bout Batman?

Check out this clip of an interview with 1960's Batman Adam West talking about Batman & Robin's possible homosexual connection:

Wait... what? Did he use the term "living in a house together" & "running around in tights" like 5 times? And why was he giggling like that? Add it to the ratings... wtf? Why Batman, why?

Holy Shitballs Batman!!! The Batman 1960's TV Show Gets New Life On The Hub!!!

The newest TV network on the block, The Hub, has got something that all us Bat-Fans have all been waiting for a long ass time... Adam West & Burt Ward are on TV once again!!! The Hub is a new cable channel that is a 50/50 joint venture between Discovery Kids and Hasbro. The results are some intriguing new cartoons (G.I. Joe Renegades, Transformers: Prime, and a show based on the board game Clue) & some oldie but goodies (Fraggle Rock, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Batman Beyond) making up the programming. Throw in some classic sitcoms like Family Ties (Alex P kid... what!) and The Wonder Years (Winnie Cooper can get it!) and you got one hell of a network that launched on 10-10-10....

But all of those titles really don't mean shit compared to the next bit of news that comes with this new channel. Somehow, The Hub has acquired the rights to air all 120 episodes of the 1966-68 Batman TV show. Any real Bat-Fan knows that despite the fact that so much terrible shit has been released on DVD/Blu-Ray (Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie... Really?) the 60's Batman show has never been released due to rights issues between DC, Warner Brothers, and 20th Century Fox. But who gives a fuck... the show is on. One slight problem: the show airs at either 5 or 5:30 AM here in NYC. But my answer to that is simple: TIVO/DVR son!!!! My season pass is set... so take that Joker... Powwww!!! Bam!!! Zapppp!!! KaBlooooom!!!! (Tell me you don't remember the words during the fight scenes... Yes!!!)

To tell you the truth, I could care less about Batman & Robin (Well, West & Ward anyway). I am all about the amazing cast of celebrity villain guest stars. Caesar Romero as The Joker... Frank Gorshin as The Riddler. Burgess Meredith as The Penguin. Julie Newmar and Earth Kitt as Catwoman. Vincent price as EggHead. Otto Preminger as Mr. Freeze... the list goes on and on and is amazing! I am currently gathering episodes now, and expected recaps to follow shortly. Tune in to your local cable provider to find The Hub on your network. NYC Time Warner customers can catch The Hub on channel 22. Tune in kids... Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!!!
