Valibation: A Short Horror Film About The Dangers of Technology....

Technology is abound in our current society, and truth be told most people couldn't remember what it was like in the days before Iphones & MP3s, of streaming video and the world wide web. So for his short film Valibation, writer & director Todd Strauss-Schulson decided to take a look at what would happen if we let that constant connection with technology ACTUALLY become a connection with our physical bodies. The result is a truly wonderful 20 minute short film that is extremely witty and even funny at times. But at its core it is a true horror story. I love the way Strauss-Schulson uses popular movies and songs (The Fly, Singing In The Rain, Dancing With Myself) to accentuate the story. A very cool short, and I can't think of a better way for you to spend 20 minutes today. After you watch this you will never look at your Iphone the same way again. I am not an Apple convert. I am not a big fan of the Ipad or Iphone, even though I am sure they are perfectly great gadgets. I know most people who join the cult of Apple very rarely venture back to the outside. But I am an Android gut through & through. But just cause I worship at the alter of Google doesn't mean I can't admire great advertising when I see. it. Here is the newest Iphone commercial, this one featuring Martin Scorsese. I love the NYC setting, Marty's NYC personality, and it happens to be the same cab number as Travis Bickle's cab number from Taxi Driver. Now that is great advertising!!! Demonic Possesion... There's An App For That!!!

Check out this cool trailer (brought to us by Topless Robot) for the upcoming Apple Ipod/Ipad/Iphone Evil Dead game. Wow. Just wow. It has a certain Wii goofiness in its look, but the people who have created it said there will be gore... lots of gore. To quote Rob over at Topless "Thats an awfully big head to cut off with a chainsaw!". We are lookng forward to this... just another reason to buy an Ipad (as if I needed more reasons!). The game/app will be available in the Apple Itunes App Store sometime in the near future. Stay tuned for a specific release date.
