Mike Vazquez Has Some Dope SD Comic Con 2014 Exclusives Ready For The Show!!!
We are on the cusp of this years San Diego Comic Con, and show exclusives from everyone involved are starting to crop up all in our Feedly feed. One of the coolest ones so far mashes up what will probably be 2 of the biggest comic book movies of 2014: Days of Future Past & Guardians of the Galaxy. Artist Mike Vasquez abandons his typical Adventure Time inspired creations to create a variant cover/poster that features everyone's favorite Raccoon in the role of Wolverine and the rest of the Guardians supporting cast on the posters behind him. He means business, and this is a great interpretation of the classic cover of issue X-Men #141. The piece was a combined effort creation between Vasquez and LogicFun (an artist from France who colored the piece). Vasquez also has some dope stickers featuring Groot, Star Lord Gamorra and Rocket (yeah, no Drax... weird), and a bunch of team Adventure Time inspired prints (Friday is Nintendo characters, Saturday is Guardians, and Sunday is Spidey & the Sinister 6) that are limited and only available at Vasquez's table. He also has a cool 35 page sketch book available for purchase. As someone who has followed Vasquez's art for a while, you will be blown away by both the look of the pieces as well as the quality of the prints. You can see more of Vasquez's work over at his Etsy & Deviant Art pages, and check out pics of everything from SDCC after the jump....

The Stormy Knight by Alex Pardee
San Diego Comic Con is almost upon us, and this is yet again another year that I will NOT be going. This hurts... it hurts REAL BAD. The biggest reason it hurts so much is because of the huge build up that goes along with this epic event. A few weeks before the event companies & people start to leak out their exclusives for the Con, and seeing all the cool stuff only available at the Sand Diego mecca makes me salivate even more!!! Case in point: Check out Alex Pardee's exclusive print for the show, The Stormy Knight. Pardee & The Zero Friends crew will be out in full force in booth #5502 and this epic Batman piece is one of the reasons you should stop by. It features Pardee's unique artistic styling paired with Batman's Blue & Grey old school suit (my personal fave), and will probably retail for 60 bucks and there are only 60 pieces available!!! You can also see all the other Zero Friends SDCC exclusives by clicking here. Sometimes people have stock of Con exclusives left over (this probably is likely with Pardee as he is epically popular), so click here & here to keep up with Pardee & the rest of the Zero Friends crew before and after the event. To all of you guys that plan on heading out to Comic Con, good luck getting the exclusives you are hoping to score.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Episode 9 - Cyrax & Sektor
The end is finally here!!! After a one month wait, the final episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy was released at this years Comic Con. It features Cyrax & Sektor, two characters I used to love playing as back in the day. This is by far the best of the bunch and you can see why they saved it for last. Here is my thing: If you want to premiere the video at Comic Con, that's cool. Just make sure that you time your release so week 9 hits during Comic Con. Don't release the first 8 early/weekly and then make us suffer for a month. Thanks as always to Exophrine for the tip.

That Was Quick...
Two days ago I told you guys that the powers that be over at DC Comics are trying to get a Blue Beetle live action TV show up and running to take the place of the decade old Smallville that will be ending after next season. Geoff Johns told us of a test shoot they did of the Jaime Reyes's transformation into the Blue Beetle... and he said that he would try to release the footage at the San Diego Comic Con that was coming up next month. I was excited... and apparently so was Johns. He released the video in screenshot format over at the DC Comics blog on Wednesday. Wow, talk about blowing your load right away. I was hoping that some of this footage would leak before SDCC, but one day later by the company itself ??? To me, this says that they are kind of excited about how it turned out. We see Reyes merge with the Beetle, begin to transform, take full on costume form, and then fly away. The pics are a bit blurry, but thats because this is a test screening and these are screenshots, so its no the best quality. But I liked looking at 'em, so I think you will too. Tell me what you think n the comment section.
