So we have worked our way through three fantastic episodes of the CCD Podcast in our 'Halloween' Film Franchise retrospective and we are coming to and end with Part 4. In this one, Jedi Rob and his Halloween cohorts Kristen Grillo & Steven Graves tackle the two Rob Zombie re-makes/re-imaginings in one final visit to Haddonfield. These two films cause quite a bit of controversy among fans of the film series, and it leads to quite a funny episode between the three CCD Myers gang to bring this retrospective in full circle. A perfect way to end this month & 2014 All Horror Week , landing to an episode release on Halloween itself!!! Make sure you head on over to Itunes and Subscribe, Download, Listen and SHARE this episode on your favorite forms of social media....

The CCD Podcast: Episode #26 - The "Halloween" Movie Retrospective - Part 1 or "Death? You Don't Know What DEATH Is!!!!"
If we are going to talk any movies here at the CCD Podcast during the month of October we are going to have address the Halloween franchise. Considering the fact that co-founder of the podcast Jedi Rob is absolutely OBSESSED with the franchise, it is not a surprise that he has chosen the epic horror for one of our patented CCD Podcast Retrospectives!!! Jedi Rob grabbed our old buddy Steven Graves and good friend and old time contributor to the CCD Blog Kristen "KMG" Grillo to break down all of the movies, sequels, prequels, tv edits, remakes, outtakes, and anything else that makes up John Carpenter's signature franchise. This first installment of the Halloween Retrospective sees the gang take on Halloween I & II, both involving our good buddy Michael Myers... and they also delve into Hallloween III: Season of the Witch, a highly misunderstood movie that suffered from the lack of big bad Myers inclusion in the film. All in all, a great first start to the Halloween Retrospective. Make sure you check back through the course of the next few days for future installments on all the rest of the movies in the Halloween universe. Also, please check out the Itunes page where you can SUBSCRIBE, DOWNLOAD, LISTEN & SHARE the CCD Podcast on all your favorite forms of social media! Enjoy some cool Halloween I, II, and III art courtesy of Deviant Art after the jump alongside the podcast.... see ya in Haddonfield!!!!

Fantastic 'Halloween' Fan Film Makes You Wish This Animated Project Had Been Green Lit...
Federico D'Alessandro is a story board artist for Marvel Films. He has worked on a sick number of high profile projects: Cap, Thor, Avengers... yup, all the big guns. So when he had a shot to make a animated short in the hopes of selling himself to the 'Halloween' movie rights holders and get the rights to make a full length animated feature, he had to take his shot. While he was on post for the short, the negotiation with Platinum Dunes studios fell through. Even though it wasn't meant to be, D'Alessandro felt compelled to finish the short because he had loved the franchise so much. The result? This 'Halloween' Animatic!!! Check it out after the jump....

Even Bad Guys Have To Get Old....
As a big horror fan I am constantly looking for websites that focus on the genre to read. I was always a fan of Bloody Disgusting, but they have gotten a bit corporate and big for their britches. A few years back I stumbled upon Freddy In Space, a cool blog run by a guy named Johnny. There was just something about the blog and the way he ran it that remind me alot of what we are trying to do here at CCD.... just talk about stuff we love and maybe score some free shit from companies for reviewing their stuff. Then I found out that Johnny was a fellow NYer and that was enough for me. We have become friends through meet ups at Comic Con and sharing memorabilia, and I am still a very big fan of his blog. Go check it out!!! Anyway, Johnny featured photographer Fredrico Chisea works in which Chisea shows us what it will be like when the villains we love grow old. THese guys may not seem like much of a threat anymore, but I bet they still go a bit of bad ass left in em. Check out the photo series after the jump...

Sean Hartter Takes On Three Horror Movie Icons... And Lives To Tell The Tale!
One of my favorite artists that I have come across since I began this blog would have to be digital artist Sean Hartter. Ever since the first time I laid eyes on his Alternate Universe Movie Posters and other amazing digital creations I was completely drawn in buy his stylized artwork. But one of the reasons I like his stuff so much is because he seems to pick subjects that are always near and dear to my heart. When I saw his recent takes on the big Hollywood horror three (Freddy, Jason and Mike) I had to share them with you for All Horror Week. I hope you like them as much as I do. Joe Panther Presents: Demented Disney & The Devils Eyes
Check out these two wonderful short films from friend of CCD's Joe Panther. This guy knows how to put some horrifying shit onto celluloid. This is why we love em!!!! Go to his Facebook page by clicking here to see some of Joe's great artwork and other stuff. Enjoy!!!
Demented Disneys - The title says it all! Demented Joe turning childhood icons into drugged out, psychotic, and destructive degenerates. That's what I do! I got a kick out of animating this. Now everyone wants a movie. Yeah right.. You want to pay me, bitch?! Nah.. I'd do it if I had any solid ideas behind it. I don't, unfortunately. Not one! Pisses me off..
Michael Myers: The Devil's Eyes - Speed drawings can be annoying. I wanted to get it done in under an hour, but it took nearly three hours to finish. Then all that compression to speed it up is ridiculous when you're using imovie. Final Cut all the way!
I'm still considering selling this, but it won't be cheap. It's all ready framed and on my wall. So for that reason, it's worth more 'cause I'll have to part with it… And because it's from me, you should be honored and willing to pay more. :DOctober 27, 2010
