As a big horror fan I am constantly looking for websites that focus on the genre to read. I was always a fan of Bloody Disgusting, but they have gotten a bit corporate and big for their britches. A few years back I stumbled upon Freddy In Space, a cool blog run by a guy named Johnny. There was just something about the blog and the way he ran it that remind me alot of what we are trying to do here at CCD.... just talk about stuff we love and maybe score some free shit from companies for reviewing their stuff. Then I found out that Johnny was a fellow NYer and that was enough for me. We have become friends through meet ups at Comic Con and sharing memorabilia, and I am still a very big fan of his blog. Go check it out!!! Anyway, Johnny featured photographer Fredrico Chisea works in which Chisea shows us what it will be like when the villains we love grow old. THese guys may not seem like much of a threat anymore, but I bet they still go a bit of bad ass left in em. Check out the photo series after the jump...

Dry Bones by Michael Puncekar
Dry Bones was always one of the coolest enemies that the Mario Bros. encountered on their many adventures through the mushroom kingdom. I always liked (or should I say disliked) this enemy because he came back to life after Mario crumbled him to bits... this never say die character could always pop back up again, so you better move on quickly. Puncekar kills it yet again with another one of his Sketches of the Day. He has drawn some really cool things over the past couple of years, so take a minute and click here to see more of his work. You can see the full sized Dry Bones after the jump...

Jedi Vs. The Wide World Of Fiction = Awesome!!!
I am a huge Star Wars fan, and by default so is my son Mkey. Ever since he was born I have been exposing him to the epic series, and he has eaten up more then happily. I even took him to see Episode 3 in the theaters when he was 2 1/2 years old, and he sat there quietly observant and never mad a sound. He absolutely loves Star Wars, and it makes me love him even more... if thats possible. Anyway, Mikey is approaching his 7th birthday and he suprised me this weekend with just how tech savy my little padawan really is. While I was watching a clip on Youtube, he walked over and told me "Oh, Youtube is so cool... type in Jedi Vs." I looked at him confused, and I asked him if he wanted to see a clip from Star Wars or maybe watch a Star Wars DVD, but he just shook his head and said "No Dad, just search it in the top box." So against my better judgement, I put n Jedi Vs. into the search box, and hit search. What followed next was amazing... purely amazing. I found these clips from Youtube user Petire and was floored at how awesome they are. Petire animates a Jedi against a plethora of fictional characters, both heroes and villians alike. And what I liked the best about these clips is that the Jedi does succeed often, but he does lose occassionally. Win, lose or draw, the clips are awesome... and I was put on to them by my 6 year old son!!!! Can you guys say CCD writer in training. I love you Mikey, thanks for telling me about the cool clips... hope you guys think they are cool too!!!
