Bobcat Goldthwait has been quite a surprise as a director. He started out as the growling con turned cop in the Police Academy series and has parlayed that into a great stand up comedy career and now a feature film directing career. I really loved God Bless America, and have been eagerly anticipating his next movie. Enter Willow Creek, which happens to be a found footage movie about encounters with Bigfoot. Yup, that sounds pretty weird and awesome... and the twist seems to be the comedy between the different people who all claim to have seen Bigfoot but contradict each other with their stories. But now the film has an awesome poster created by one of my all time favorite artists Alex Pardee... yup, this project just got a whole lot better! The film is making the festival rounds right now, and will probably come out sometime in the Fall. Can't wait to catch this one. Check out the poster after the jump...

Tilt Warning Customs Wants To Bring Back The Arcade With Custom Pinball Machines Designed By Some Very Talented Artists...
I am a huge fan of artists Alex Pardee and one of the things I love about him has to be his lengthy blog posts that allow him to ramble about various things he is doing (forget his art which is awesome, his blog is hilarious... check it out). One of the projects he has become involved is the Bring Back The Arcade kickstarter campaign by a company called Tilt Warning Customs. Tilt Warning Customs is already an active pinball customization company, but they work on an order by order basis. The Bring Back The Arcade project would allow them to give 10 artists blank canvases of a machine and have them create a crazy piece of playable art, and then put those 10 machines into one playable art exhibition. Now that is one art show I would love to go to. The thing I liked most about Pardee's post about the kickstarter was how he acknowledge why he felt he was never good at pinball. He said the reason why he never played pinball in the arcade was because he wanted to use his precious quarters on games he could last longer than 4 seconds on... and since he never played pinball, he never got any better. But as an artist Pardee is amazing, so even though he didn't like the game itself so much I still can't wait to see the creepy monsters & deformities that Pardee puts onto his personalized pinball machine. Check out the official kickstarter page by clicking here to get more info on the project and which artists are currently involved & then check out the projects trailer after the jump...

The Wanderer by Skinner
I am a big fan of the art of Skinner, one of the associates who fills out Alex Pardee's Zero Friends super collective. The guy is insanely creative, and he is constantly collaborating with other people to make cool pieces of art. This time he has teamed up with resin sculpture David Healey to produce The Wanderer, a 4 inch mini figure that was designed by Healey and painted by Skinner. The figure cost 75 bucks, but it is limited to 10 pieces. It is much more inexpensive then the usual full size figures that Skinner designs that cost upwards of 400 bucks a piece. You can grab one of these awesome monsters over at Skinner's toy shop on January 18th by clicking here. You can see more detailed pics after the jump...

CCD Links It Up: Vol #13
Lucky number 13... nice! here is the 13th edition of CCD Links It Up, where we share a bunch of stories that are making their way around the web but I don't feel could be made into stories here on CCD any better than how they appeared already. So I just share a few lines and the link and allow you to peruse some of the cooler sites that exist out there. This week we got an unbelievable Lindsey Lohan story, some really cool Indiana Jones themed maps, this years Oscar nominees and snubs, some boobies, and a few different opinions on the newest entry into The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, TCM 3D. Tons of great stuff waiting for you on the other side... lets go!!!

The Stormy Knight by Alex Pardee
San Diego Comic Con is almost upon us, and this is yet again another year that I will NOT be going. This hurts... it hurts REAL BAD. The biggest reason it hurts so much is because of the huge build up that goes along with this epic event. A few weeks before the event companies & people start to leak out their exclusives for the Con, and seeing all the cool stuff only available at the Sand Diego mecca makes me salivate even more!!! Case in point: Check out Alex Pardee's exclusive print for the show, The Stormy Knight. Pardee & The Zero Friends crew will be out in full force in booth #5502 and this epic Batman piece is one of the reasons you should stop by. It features Pardee's unique artistic styling paired with Batman's Blue & Grey old school suit (my personal fave), and will probably retail for 60 bucks and there are only 60 pieces available!!! You can also see all the other Zero Friends SDCC exclusives by clicking here. Sometimes people have stock of Con exclusives left over (this probably is likely with Pardee as he is epically popular), so click here & here to keep up with Pardee & the rest of the Zero Friends crew before and after the event. To all of you guys that plan on heading out to Comic Con, good luck getting the exclusives you are hoping to score.

The Edgar Wright Triple Play At The Alamo Drafthouse Is Another Reason I Am Considering Moving To Texas...
God, the gang at the Alamo Drafthouse sure know how to put some interesting programming. This weekend they are hosting a triple play screening of Edgar Wright's three seminal movies: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim. Wow... just wow. How is there no Drafthouse here in NYC yet? what are you guys waiting on? WTF!!!! Anyway, Mondo commissioned Kevin Tong to create a triple bill poster to be sold at the event, similar to the ones created by DKNG Studios & CCD fave Alex Pardee last year for the L.A. triple bills that were shown. Pretty awesome stuff, all the way around. After the jump you can see Tong's unreal take on the three films, as well as the two older posters just cause they are fucking awesome...

Alex Pardee, Skinner & Lamour Supreme Go Ass To Mouth In San Antonio
It is no secret that I am a huge fan of the Zero Friends art collective and everything they do... especially the ringleader of the crew, Alex Pardee. Well Pardee recently teamed with frequent collaborator Skinner and Lamour Supreme down at the Art Slam in San Antonio and they produced their very own Human Centipede to honor the ocassion. Only these guys could take a premise that is as frightening as the ass to mouth torture that is the Human Centipede and take it to an even higher level of horrific with this demonic trifecta. Make sure you click on all the above artists names to see their individual pages and click after the jump for some great photos of the Zero friends Full sequence art piece...

Wu Tang Wednesday: All Horror Week Edition ft. The Art of The Butcher Kings
Even though it is All Horror Week over here at CCD, we can still find a way to show love to our favorite rap group... All Hail The Wu!!! Artists Alex Pardee and Skinner, aka The Butcher Kings, just opened an insane art show at Gallery 1988 that features some insane pop culture mash-ups. While I plan on highlighting a few more of the pieces for you guys in another post, here are two of the entries that are centered around The Wu. Check out 'Wu Tang Clown' & 'Odie B' after the jump...

Gallery 1988 Brings Back The Garbage Pail Kids!!!
When I was a shorty I was absolutely enthralled by the sheer disgusting nature of 'Garbage Pail Kids' trading cards. These hideous creations often featured some creative name for a mutilated child that was accompanied by a corresponding illustration. (Continued after the jump)

Vader On Maury??? I Would Watch The Shit Outta This Show!!!!
Artist Alex Pardee has been recovering from some oral surgeries (feel better brother!) and has not been creating much of anything, which is quite unusual for him. Anyway, it seems like he is getting back in the swing of things because he created this awesome Fathers Day piece featuring Darth Vader and every bodies favorite paternity tester, Maury Povich!!!

Fuck The Police by Alex Pardee
Artist Alex Pardee channels his inner N.W.A. in this new piece entitled "F.T.P." that features a decapitated RoboCop. I love this piece. Wonderful.
