Toy Fare 2015: Pics From The Showroom Floor Pt. 1 by Mike D

I had the luck (wink, wink... thanks Gary!) to garner some passes to this years 2015 Toy Fare in NYC. For those who don't know what the hell that is, it is the MAIN trade show where EVERY toy company showcases what they have coming out for the next year. This is where they secure funding for what they want to do for the next year, where prototypes become reality... basically a peak inside 2015/16 for the whole toy industry. I went in thinking it would be kind of cool, however once I was there I was OVERWHELMED! I took over 300 pics.... here are a few for you. It's A Bird.... It's A Plane... It's... SUPER FREDDY!!! Wait.... WHAT???

I certainly do love me some Freddy. Nightmare On Elm St is one of my favorite film franchises in history. And the character has grown to levels that no one, not even Wes Craven, could have ever imagined. He has appeared on countless products, especially in toy form. But companies are always looking for a way to bring a new Freddy product to market that is unique and can take the character to new heights. Leave it to NECA, one of the titans of the toy industry, to come up with a great idea for this years 2014 San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Not only did they come up with a great idea... it is one of the most obvious ones that hasn't been done before!

'Get To The Chopper'... We Got Toys To Buy!!!!

NECA, or National Entertainment Collectibles Association, have no problem bringing the heat when they release a new wave of action figures. They are known to produce the most articulate and realistic recreations of your favorite movies, TV shows, and cartoons for years. So when they revealed the upcoming 25th Anniversary 'Predators' toy line, I expected nothing but amazing figures. When the toys premiered at Toy Fare 2013 a few weeks back, NECA proved that they are the best of the best. There are 6 figures in the line, including four Dutch figures and two Predator figures that are amazing. You gotta love Jungle Encounter Dutch, covered in mud from head to toe. And the Water Emergence Predator has to be one of the most amazing figures I have ever seen. The electric lightning detailing around the body of the figure is just amazing, and I can't remember another toy that has shown such detail and depth in comparison to the source material. The toys should be rolling into stores soon, so make sure you are on the lookout for these if you are as big of a Predator fan as I am. I know my man Joe Fletch will be contemplating a purchase!!!
