The Posters For 'Muppets Most Wanted' Are Channeling Some Action Classics In Their Latest Round Of One Sheets...

Muppets Most Wanted may very well be one of the most anticipated movies of the spring that nobody even knows is coming out. It is a huge property, they got a huge Toyota crossover commercial campaign, and the first one a few years ago did extremely well... but for some reason, I haven't heard much about it. I'm not seeing a lot of promotion, and for a possible big money making movie I haven't seen much buzz about it at all. But as we approach the March 21st release date they are starting to ramp up the publicity, and they are doing so in a very clever way. They decided to put Kermit and Miss Piggy in a few action movie themed posters that will get people thinking about some classic flicks. You gotta love the tagline they sport too: "Taking The World By Farce". Genius. I would watch the shit out of a James Bond/Muppets movie, and I would especially watch a Face/Off remake featuring Jim Henson's creations. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy also gets a poster... really clever cross promotion. I will be lining up to see Muppets Most Wanted when it comes out, will you? Check out the four posters after the jump...

Kermit & Walter Pop Shit About Jason Segel...

Earlier this week Jason Segel made some comments where he distanced himself from particpating in another Muppet movie so quickly. He cited his love for the Muppets but the need to get involved in other things. Usually something like this would just garner an "aw man" type response from others involved in the film. But not the Muppets... if you didn't already know, they are kind of outspoken. Kermit & Walter were recently interviewed by MTV, and they lobbed jokes about Segel's height and how he discovered Walter. It was all in good fun, but Kermit's deadpan is just amazing. A funny short clip, especially for all you Muppet enthusiasts out there (I'm looking at you Jedi Rob & Jeffy). Enjoy the clip after the jump...

Kermit & Miss Piggy Says Fuck You To Fox News

I know that I am about to take some flack for this, but I have yet to see the new Muppet movie (stands up & dodges cream pies and knives thrown by Rob Martin & Jeff Bond). This is simply due to my completely crazy schedule over the last few months, not because I don't want to see it. But I was intrigued a few months ago when the human douche pouches over at Fox News began bashing the Muppets & their new movie because they seemed to be pushing an "Anti Oil Company" liberal agenda. Are you fucking kidding me... did this so called news organization just try to criticize a movie made with puppet characters for bashing an indusrty that DESERVE TO BE BASHED??? BWAHAHAHAHAHA... get the fuck outta here!!! Anywho, seems that Kermit & Miss Piggy are doing a ton of press junkets for their successful film and they were asked to respond to the allegations made against their film. Click after the jump for the Muppet response...

Artin' It Up with Tommy Lombardozzi: Thanksgiving Muppet Edition

Hey folks! Tommy here. I've missed you all. Anyway...

In celebration of the new MUPPETS film opening today, I decided to do a drawing. This one's called "MOVIN' RIGHT ALONG", and features Kermit, Gonzo, Fozzie, and Camilla the chicken... taken from a scene in one of my all time favorite movies ever, 1979's "The Muppet Movie". Sam The Eagle Is Captain America

Last month the people behind the upcoming Muppets movie parlayed the upcoming mega movie Green Lantern into a cool poster featuring Kermit as the Emerald Knight. Now they are at it again, this time thrusting everyone's favorite patriotic eagle Sam into the Super Muppet program as Captain America. This is wonderful. The new Muppet movie opens on November 23rd here in the US. I for one can't wait! Thanks to Den of Geek for the tip on this one.

Game Of Thrones Of Muppets by Yehudi Mercado

I never get tired of mashups, especially good ones. This is Yehudi Mercado's take on A Game Of Thrones featuring every bodies favorite puppets, The Muppets.  These really are spot on. One question: Where is my Tyrion Lannister/Pepe the Prawn? That's what I want... with hookers and wine, of course!!! Get on that Yehudi!!!

Two Marvel/Animated TV Character Mashups Worth Exploring

In the wake of all the recent Marvel movie news, I thought these were two interesting mashups between Marvel characters and members of the animated television community that are absolutely awesome. Click the photos to enlarge each picture.

First up, we have artists GottaBeCarl and his rendition of the stars of Futurama blended with The X-Men... this is just marvelous ( get it... Marvel, marvelous... oh jeez, tough crowd)

Next we have artist Roger Langridge and his version of characters from The Mighty Thor, if they were muppets. Kermit as Thor, Gonzo as Loki, Ms. Piggy as Sif... and the two cantankerous old critics Statler and Waldorf are in the backround. Awesome, totally awesome.
