Star Wars: Into Darkness by The Unusual Suspect

In honor of the recent pairing of JJ Abrams with Star Wars, I give you the faux trailer for Star Wars: Into Darkness! This is so well done, and I love the fact that he takes the best moments of the original trilogy and Yoda's speech and puts it to JJ type music. I think there might have even been a lens flare in there.... lol. Check out the video after the jump...

Gotham High: Please Make This Fan Edited Movie A Reality ASAP

Gotham City and it's inhabitants make for a great backstory... and all adults have had a childhood. Instead of wondering where to take the next Batman movie, why not take a look back at where some of these characters came from? The gang from Movie Trailer Clips decided to grab some of the most memorable moments of the past high school movies (10 Things I Hate About You, Bronson, Breakfast Club, Powder, princess Diaries, etc )that we all love and mold them into a faux trailer for Gotham High, which tells the story of teen girl Harley and her quest for love at the roughest school in the city. The gang is all here, with all the former cast members from Batman movies portrayed by roles they occupied long ago (Heath ledger/Joker from 10 Things I Hate About You, Tom Hardy/Bane from Bronson, etc) and you gotta love the made up cameos by characters like Powder appearing as Mr. Freeze. Great stuff. Check out the full clip after the jump. If I was her I would go with Anne Hathaway. She ended up pretty hot and lesbians are all the rage these days...

Avengers '78

Wow. Just wow. I watch millions of clips a week and see plenty of fan made trailers that make me smile because they are mildly clever. If I get a bit of a giggle than I feel that the faux trailer was quite successful. But when you get your hands on a masterpiece like the 'Avengers '78' faux trailer.... well, this is the stuff that legends are made of. I am not sure who created the faux trailer, but  it was posted on Quarv's Youtube page. They take all of the footage from the old fashioned 70s/80s Marvel TV series & films and mold them into a solid promo for a CBS Movie of the Week. Watch Ferigno and the rest of the Marvel gang show the current crop of Avengers how it is done. And you gotta love the Hawkeye cameo, not to mention the choice of villain... watch it after the jump and enjoy!!!!

The Friend-vengers

I am a real sucker for trailer mash-ups. I love when some up[ and coming video editor takes awesome footage from a current property and adds it to the music of an older movie or TV show credits. Last month we had an excellent Walking Dead opening credit sequence that used the theme song of Growing Pains, and this month we get a Friends style look at the Avengers universe. I would watch the shit out of this sitcom. Well played... Thanks to Jeff Bond for locating this one. Click after the jump for the full video...

What If Jaws Was A Disney Movie?

What a great question... I guess it f it is anything like this short trailer, then it would be awesome!!! I really like this mash-up video, mostly because it uses original dialogue from the classic Spielberg movie. Sometimes these faux trailers can seem forced... this is not one of them. Cath the full trailer for "A Shark's Song" after the jump...

George Lucas Strikes Back: The Real Story Of The Last 20 Years

You have to watch this awesome faux trailer for the movie "George Lucas Strikes Back". The gang over at Slick Gigolo have produced an awesome snapshot into what really happened to George Lucas over 20 years ago and lead to the prequel Star Wars films. This is great:

That is amazing. Oldboy references, the beard and glasses, getting the old gang together (Short Round is a grea addition to the team), and the digs on the prequels make this a funny video. See Joe Esq... the whole thing was a conspiracy!!! You can love George Lucas again! Hooray!!!!!

Will Power Man Be Contractually Required To Wear Old Spice In His Movie Debut???

This is a funny story. Isaiah Mustafa, the guy from the awesome 'Old Spice' commercials ("look... I'm on a horse") has it in his head that he wants to play Luke Cage (Power Man) in a big screen version of the Marvel Comic. While there has been some talk of giving Cage a shot for a solo feature, rumors are that Idris Elba might get the nod. Elba was cast in 'Thor' as Heimdall the Gatekeeper and he absolutely killed it. Judging by the way Marvel likes to dig back through their older movies for stars on their newer projects, I was leaning towards Elba for Cage as well. So who will be the "Hero for Hire" on the big screen?

It looks like Mustafa ain't waiting around to lose the role to Elba, who already has a foot through the door. Mustafa put together this faux trailer for a Power Man movie and it looks pretty cool. Take a look for yourself:

Now that's how you go after it!!! I would have liked Mustafa to look a bit bigger (Cage is gigantic), but that can probably be fixed with some CGI. My only beef is that he should have wore the silver headpiece from the vintage (70's/80's) Cage comics.

I know Luke Cage isn't rocking that look anymore, but Mustafa would have score major points with Quesada and the gang over at Marvel. Who do you think Power Man should be? Tell us in the comment section below.

First Grindhouse, Then Machete, And Now...

... we get Hobo With A Shotgun!!! This was an idea that materialized from a contest to create a faux trailer when Grind House came out. Tarantino, Rodriguez, and the studio thought it would be cool to have people submit these crazy trailers, and out of those submissions we get that first look at the deadly homeless man taking out bad guys one shell at a time. Now, we get a red band trailer for the green lit movie and it features Rutger "F'n" Hauer... nice!!! I can not wait for this one. Check out this next 2 minutes, and tell us what you think in the comments below.
