4th of July is one of our favorite holidays here at CCD... we are very patriotic like that. But instead of bloviating about the best laws and constitutional amendments our great country has to offer, we decided to tackle one of our favorite subjects: MOVIES WE LIKE TO WATCH ON THE 4TH OF JULY!!!! Episode #10 of the CCD Podcast counts down our favorite 4th of July movies. Jedi Rob, Mike D and Tommy Lombardozzi's (making his CCD Podcast debut) are on the job. The movies we pick might not necessarily ring as so called "4th of July" movies, but these are the films we like to pop a squat and view on the 4th in between taking out hotdogs two at a time and lighting mortars off in front of our house! I really like this mash-up video, mostly because it uses original dialogue from the classic Spielberg movie. Sometimes these faux trailers can seem forced... this is not one of them. Hello, hello, my fellow CCDers! .Being such a big fan of the classic film 'Jaws', I was very excited to discover a table at the NYCC where Moonrise Media was pushing their new book "'JAWS': MEMORIES FROM MARTHA'S VINEYARD"! This HUGE, beautiful tome is a collection of clippings, set photos, personal islander photos, and studio stills and pieces culled during the making of 'Jaws' on Martha's Vineyard in 1974. 8/16 Bit Opening Screens by Title Screams: All Horror Week Edition

I came across this wonderful website entitled Title Screams, which is a site that celebrates the wonderful triumphs of past 8 & 16 bit video game title screens. This site has tons of screen caps, and they brought back a lot of good memories involving controllers with two buttons and no save features. I decided to revisit the site for the best of the best another day, but today I will focus on the Horror themed screen shots they had in their files. Here are a few that caught my eye. CCD's Own Tommy Lombardozzi Wants You To Buy His Art.... Now!!!!!!

Tommy Lombardozzi is a great friend of mine and contributor to the greatness that is CCD. His 'Artin' It Up' posts highlighted some of the great original art that he has done and boy is some of it breath taking!!! Thor Goes To Hollywood To Fight Some Horror Legends

Marvel Comics is trying to ensure that their Thor movie is a huge success upon release this May... and so they are approaching the film's promotion from all angels. One way is to mash up Thor with some Hollywood legends on variant covers for some of their upcoming comic books. This is a pretty cool idea, and the first two covers are making the rounds.

First up: Artist Mike del Mundo and his cover for 'Uncanny X-Force #7' that features Thor and Frankenstein's Monster!!!

Next up, we got artist Greg Horn and his 'Heroes for Hire #5' cover where Thor is all set to battle The Great White Terror... Jaws!!!
