Artist, David Cutler, is not just your average, run-in-the-mill, comic artist he's also a true fan and the work he does for fun proves it. He's a regular artist for Moonstone Comics 'Northern Guardian' series but, the work that I liked best, of his, were of characters from our youth. With all of the buzz around who may be the next Nolan casted 'Dark Knight' co-star, tumblr.com was abuzz with this unattributed work the posits CCD favorite Neil Patrick Harris as the next incarnation of Edward Nigma himself...'The Riddler' and noticeably Phillip Seymour Hoffman has made top billing...as 'Penguin' I presume. This work remains unattributed since it's probably been bouncing around since the first installment of Nolan's film trilogy. If you know who this creative son of a gun is...please feel free to let us, at CCD, know!

Tiny Ronald feels a little 'McGuilty' in this aptly titled J. SalvadorDesign piece.

DEVIANT ARTist Bob Guy re-imagined the Joe team as CobrA Elite..and vicey-versey in hisss cutsey piece 'G.I. Joe Mirror Universe'. This piece literally had me lying awake at night wondering why I hadn't pondered this myself in my youth. I imagined a 'Jon Hamm' esque...raven haired, scar faced but superbly uniformed evil version of 'Duke'. A 'Destro' that had let his torturous family tradition of donning the traditional iron mask die with him and instead joined the forces of Joe-dom. (sigh) The possibilities are endless. DEVIANT ARTist Mike P Mitchell has an interesting take one of my favorite Disney Superheroes in his piece 'DarkWing Duck'. When there's trouble...you call D.W.!

DEVIANT ARTist Spice Master offers up this work of art entitled  'OVER THE RAINBOW', in which he re-imagines a girly favorite 'RAINBOW BRITE' as a glow stick twirling raver. Like?

Lego Iconic Vol#2

I am such a huge Lego nerd that words can not explain. Soooo I've decided to use my favorite blog site CCD.com as an outlet to get some of this stuff that I see every day, built out of bricks, out of my skull and onto the blogosphere where it can't hurt my cerebral cortex. Each month I'll be posting the best of the best hoping to inspire the Lego maniac in each of you...young and old.  Enjoy!

Lego and Dr. Who enthusiast McMorran not only created a stupendous little Dr. Who & Tardis but also, took it along with him to the huge BrickCon convention and placed it within other builders' dioramas, with their permission, ofcourse, furthering the good doctor's adventure. Can you locate the Tardis and Doctor in each? Sweet!

Commercially Acclaimed Volume #3 - 80's Toy Commercials pt. 1

TV commercials are a part of our everyday lives as TV viewers. Even though Tivo and DVR have allowed us to "skip through" the commercials, the advertising companies a still trying to peak our interests by coming up with creative commercials. To me, great commercials are an art form and are under appreciated by a society that is always trying to speed through things. Think about it... how many times did you see a great commercial that made you laugh hysterically or want to go out and purchase the advertised product??? And how many times has the best part of the Super Bowl been the commercials during a blow out game??? Whether you want to admit it or not, commercials are cool as shit... and here are some of my favorites.

80's Toy Commercials: As a child of the 80's, and iintricate part of my TV watching experience was the commercials for the toys that were on the market. Saturday morning cartoons + toy ads = 1 happy Mr. Mike D!!! These are just a few of the ones that I remember... they still stick out in my head all these years later. In the 'Legend of Zelda' game for the original Nintendo Entertainment System, there were these little evil-doers which resembled a delicious stack of buttery pancakes and whose sole mission were to suck you dry of a hard earned weapon you had just paid mucho rupees for. These fortunate little bottom-feeders were called Like-Likes. That is why I decided to name a new feature article I will be preparing for 'Cultural Compulsive Disorder' after them. Like the fortunate bottom-feeder that I am, I will be scouring the blogosphere for loosely related images, video clips, and articles that I found interesting, exciting, or maddening on other blogsites. Things that someone else has, no doubt, painstakingly worked on for weeks, even months, yet I will show no remorse in borrowing from them and regurgitating on C-C-D, for you guys to appreciate as well, with all due credit given to it's origins, of course. Things that they liked...and I like...so I'd like to see if you like. So without further ado, I give you the first installment of "Like-Like?"
