Eastbound & Down & Boardwalk Empire Are Close To Returning...

I am a huge fan of many HBO shows, most notably Game of Thrones which just finished up a stellar third season. With True Blood & The Newsroom on the horizon for the summer, we here at CCD are looking a bit further down the road to see what is coming next. Boardwalk Empire & Eastbound & Down are two of my faves, and they will be buoying the fall lineup this year. The Kenny powers teaser is short and sweet, but it does get me ready for some more nuttiness from my favorite Merman. The Boardwalk Empire trailer is short as well, but we get a ton of footage and the first look at Jeffery Wright as Dr. Narcisse. I for one can't wait! Eastbound & Down is back on September 29th and Boardwalk Empire is back on September 8th. Check out the trailers after the jump....

La Flama Blanca Poppin' Shit... Adios Kenny Powers!!!

Eastbound and Down has had one of the most memorable runs in recent television. Even though the show had three full seasons, the overall total of 21 episodes at around 24 minutes each don't give us a whole hell of a lot of material. But in that short span I have fell in love with the show... specifically the main character, Kenny Powers. La Flama Blanca never hesitated to light up his co-stars with insults and verbal jabs that are some of the most memorable insults I have ever heard in my life. The language is offensive, he rarely makes sense, and he often prefaces his disparaging comments with "Let me be honest with you...", which always leads to some memorable content. The guys over at Vulture have created a super cut video featuring some of the most memorable abusive lines Powers spit during the course of the show. These aren't all of the BEST lines, but these are definitely most of them. This is a fitting way to remember Kenny.... watch the video after the jump!!!

He's BAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKK!!!! Kenny. Fucking. Powers. BOO-YAH! Season 3 of Eastbound and Down is coming to HBO on February 19th and there are rumors that this may the last hurrah for the show. If that is the case, then they are planning on going out with a bang... literally! Kenny, Stevie, and the crew head to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for some minor league ball and I am sure hijinks will ensue. Can they top last seasons debauchery south of the border? Can Kenny bring the heat to the Myrtle Beach Mermen (I am so getting that jersey!)? Will he get back with the very hot April (God I love Katy Mixon!)? Tune in on February 19th to find out. This is the new promo advertisement from K Swiss featuring Danny McBride as his alter ego from Eastbound & Down, Kenny "Motherfucking" Powers. If you have not seen the show (you better make time, one of the funniest shows on TV) or the Kenny/K-Swiss commercials in the past (we covered them last year, click here to see), this clip will probably take you by surprise. I know I was shocked when I saw McBride's brash, over-the-top character hawking a real product in his insane way. Kudos to K Swiss for saying fuck the status quo and thinking outside the box in order to attract a new clientele. If they want to compete with Nike and some of the other big shoe companies, it doesn't hurt to feature some high profile athletes (Patick Willis, Urijah Faber, Matt Cassel, etc ) and cool celebrities like Michael Bay and Jillian Michaels doing some outrageous shit. A perfect combo that makes me super excited for season 3 of Eastbound and Down, which is coming up soon. The language in this one is quite colorful, so don't go blasting it in the office... unless your boss is a badass like KP baby!!!!
