CCD Links It Up - Vol #8

So many things to share with you guys today, and so little time... unless you are at work and are trying to pass the day without doing much. So here are some wacky & wild stories to get you through your Friday. The links are after the jump...

CCD Links It Up Vol #6

It's that time again folks... time to make the rounds of what is popping around the Intrawebs. I think all of these stories are dope in their own right, and I know that I could not do it any better than the people who I am linking it towards. In this episode we got movie trailers, Lady Gaga in her thong, An explanation of why the fuck they killed ??? (spoilers ahead after the jump) off of Sons of Anarchy by showrunner Kurt Sutter, a kickstarter worth supporting, and how to make a magazine out of old magazine ads... Check out the links after the jump.

History Made Fun Through Fan Videos....

This history teacher from Honolulu, Hawaii sure has a lot of time on her hands. As a former educator, I can not understand how she found enough time in the day to do this... oh wait, she probably filmed them during one of her 23 vacations througout the year (that was not a dig... teachers need all those breaks to keep their sanity... god I miss teaching!!!). Here the musical group known as The History Teachers reworks Lady Gaga & Justin Timberlake songs into tales about the French Revolution & William the Conqueror. Pretty funny stuff. Click here to view their Youtube channel and watch them all. Very creative stuff. It might not seem so catchy, but it shows that the teachers are willing to go an extra mile for their students.

The 1st Annual "C-C-Drammy" Awards Result Show

So, last nights Grammy Awards were a wonderful suprise. The performances were amazing, the speeches of the winners were heartfelt and the Academy of Music seemed to really get it right this year. As for my C-C-Drammy predictions, I did pretty well. In the 4 major categories, I guessed 2 winners. I was correct in picking Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" as the Record of the Year. I also guessed Beyonce's "Single Ladies" would take down the Single of the Year. In the Album of the Year category, I thought Lady Gaga was impossible to beat... but youngster Taylor Swift was not to be taken lightly. She cruised to a victory in that category, suprising many people with winning the biggest category of the night. I was also incorrect about Keri Hilson winning Best New Artist, as she lost in that category to the Zack Brown Band (Who the F$#K is That). Overall, CCD did pretty well in the major categories and were happy with the way everything shook out.

The performances were great, starting with Lady Gaga and Elton John and finishing with Drake, Lil Wayne, and Eminem ft. Travis Barker. These two performances were awesome and made watching the show worth the 3 1/2 hours it encompassed. Mary J Blige and Andrea Boccelli killed it, as did Beyonce. The tribute to Michael Jackson was nice, and The Black Eyed Peas also repped hard. I would have liked to see Jay-Z up there, but there is always next year. Signing of from the Grammys, we'll see you at the next awards show with our predictions....
