Louie C.K. - Indy Filmmaker?

Finding out that a dude like Louie CK has multiple talents outside of stand up comedy is not too much of a shock to me... the guy has proven how talented he can be over and over again despite the fact that he looks like a regular schnook. But when I hear about a experimental film he shot way back in 1998 with a laundry list of unknown actors who would later become huge stars, I must tip my hat in deference to the ability this guy has. And now we are gonna get to finally see the finished results: Tomorrow Night is a experimental black and white film starring the likes of Amy Poehler, Steve Carell, J.B. Smoove, Robert Smigel and many more. It looks very indy and avant garde, and will either be pure genius or pure bullshit as these types of movies usually are. The film is being released on Louie's website, and for a mere $5 bucks you can see it for yourself. I for one will check this crazy ass shit out. Masturbation while sitting in ice cream??? Betty White to Host Tonight's SNL's Mothers Day Special

Tonight, 5/8/2010, Betty White will be the host of Saturday Night Live. The musical guest will be Jay-Z, and all the former female cast members of the last decade or so are set to make guest appearences (think Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, etc.) in an star-packed episode dedicated to Mothers Day. But that is not what makes this great. This is all a result of an online push to get White named as host of the long running show. A Facebook page was started, putting forth the crazy idea to have the 86 year old actress as a host, and it snowballed. After the popularity of her Snickers commercial during this years Super Bowl, people got behind the idea of everybodies favorite Golden Girl hosting... even when she had second thoughts about it. Lorne Michaels saw how many people wanted to see this happen, so he made the executive decisions that lead to tonights show. Tune in, because I am sure this episode is going to be one of the classics... Show starts at 11:30... enjoy!!!

SNL Throwback Of The Week #12, 5/1/2010

I am a huge Saturday Night Live fan. One of my earliest memories was of my parents watching SNL every Saturday while we were tucked in our bedrooms, and sometimes being allowed to watch for a bit. The show has gone through its ups and downs over its 35 year run, but the fact that it is still on the air after 35 years is a testament to the staying power of the show. Lorne Michaels is a genius at finding and developing young, comedic talent. SNL has produced a bevy of stars over the years, from Eddie Murphy to Tina Fey. The show is doing well again thanks to Ms. Fey and the rest of the team, but I love watching clips from the old shows. Every Saturday I will give you guys one of my favorites. This weeks clip features Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as The Bush Twins, Goerge W's twin daughters. They are fucking hysterical portraying the party hearty twins, and I love them on the screen together. I look forward to seeing them in future projects, but it is sad to know that their time on the show is over. Enjoy the clip... Live from my livingroom, It's Saturday Night!!!
