Saturday Night Live has an excellent pedigree, but in the last decade or so it has developed a reputation for stinking it up. Gone are the glory days of Chevy, Eddie, Sandler, Farley, Carvey & Myers... and we have been ushered into a era of mediocrity. But over the past few years the show has had some bright spots. Bill Hader is always one for me. I also like a lot of the younger comedians they have signed up for the show. But most people don't see the gold they are putting out because they have given up on the show. This clip from a few weeks back for 'The Sopranos Diaries' is absolutely fantastic. With 'The Carrie Diaries' taking a look back at the high school years of Sex In The City star Carrie Bradshaw, why not take a look back at the Jersey high school where Tony and the gang went to school? I love Fred Armisten as Paulie, with the white highlights and the Flocks of Seagull haircut. I also love the whole scene in the cafeteria, where they sit at a table with checkered table cloth, candles & have a stripper above them while they discuss Return of the Jedi and Rubick's Cubes. Pretty great stuff.... check it out after the jump.

The Soprano Diaries On SNL - ''They Got Space Bears...''

Lazy Sunday 2: Parns & Young Sandwich Get Down
Saturday Night Live's 'Lazy Sunday' skit came at the exact right time in the world... it was the perfect storm of events. A young up and coming comedian named Andy Samberg had no problem making a fool out of himself, the Internet was slowly gaining steam, and SNL was losing momentum as a show among the younger generation. But then 'Lazy Sunday' saw Chris Parnell & Andy Samberg embracing a great geeky day in Manhattan through a funny rap, and the video got CRAZY hits on a new website, Youtube. It was one of the first times a video LIVED ON long after the broadcast, and the rest is history. Samberg's SNL Digital Shorts have become the stuff of legend (Laser Cats & the Natalie Portman Rap are pure genius!!!) and they may be coming to an end with Samberg possibly leaving the show. So how do you end it on a solid not? You go out the way you started, with Lazy Sunday 2!!! Watch the newest Digital Short after the jump... we will always love love ya Young Sandwich!!!

The Cast Of SNL Explain Why Game Of Thrones Is SOOO Popular
One of the only funny parts of the recent SNL telecasts have been the skits featuring Andy Samberg. There are some other funny cast members, but the skits where he plays a main role seem to be the only ones worth watching. A few weeks back Andy and the gang to a look into what exactly makes Game of Thrones so popular. It is quite true that the conclusion they come up with may absolutely be the reason behind the high ratings. And seeing Bobby Moynighan as George R.R. Martin is worth watching the whole clip... Check the clip after the jump.

SNL: The Real Housewives of Disney
I have not watched Saturday Night Live all year this year... not once. The show will always have a soft spot in my heart, and I have heard some great things about the younger cast members... but lets be honest: The show has lost its luster. I have no urge to check in on the program, and every once and again I come across a clip online that I think is funny. this happened to me today, as I came across a skit from a few weeks back when Lindsay Lohan hosted. It's a spoof of the "Real Housewives Of..." shows on Bravo and this time the locale is the wonderful world of Disney. It wasn't hysterically funny like SNL used to be, but this one is pretty funny and is well written in terms of the history of the Disney characters they used. Prince Charming as a closeted homo? priceless....

Lana Del Rey Gets A Bit Of Revenge On Her SNL Haters
There has been a lot of debate surrounding new singer Lana Del Rey and her seeming inability to perform live. She received a coveted performance slot on Saturday Night Live due to the massive buzz she has been getting on the 'Net, and she promptly crashed and burned. The performance was awful... and that is being nice. It was sad because she had so much momentum due to her very cool song "Video Games" and the fact that she is not to tough to look at. All of the sudden people were questioning her as a singer, whether or not she was truly a good performer, and people even began criticizing her looks (specifically her lips, which she says are not medically enhanced). Things were not looking good for Ms. Del Rey... and then she did Letterman and crushed a live version of "Video Games" with accompaniment from a piano and violins. Wow... wow. Great song performed beautifully. I hope this gets her back on track, cause I dig her voice and her style, not to mention her looks are pretty great. Click after the jump to see both the SNL and Letterman performances to compare the differences...

SNL Throwback of the Week #22 - 7/10/10
I am a huge Saturday Night Live fan. One of my earliest memories was of my parents watching SNL every Saturday while we were tucked in our bedrooms, and sometimes being allowed to watch for a bit. The show has gone through its ups and downs over its 35 year run, but the fact that it is still on the air after 35 years is a testament to the staying power of the show. Lorne Michaels is a genius at finding and developing young, comedic talent. SNL has produced a bevy of stars over the years, from Eddie Murphy to Tina Fey. The show is doing well again thanks to Ms. Fey and the rest of the team, but I love watching clips from the old shows. Every Saturday I will give you guys one of my favorites. This weeks clip features everybodies favorite English boy in the tub, Simon. Simon was played by Mike Myers and in this episdode he is joined in the tub by Danny DeVito. They reminisce about Christmas in Atlantic City... hey, are you looking at my bum??? Bum Looker... Cheeky Monkey!!! Anyway, enjoy the clip. Live from my Living Room, IT'S Saturday Night!!!

This weeks clip features Joe Pesci as the host of The Bensonhurst Dating Game. Adam Sandler, Dana Carvey and Chris Rock are vying for the attention of a young italian lady. The only problem is... well, they dont want the black guy to win. This is so funny it hurts. I hope you enjoy. Live, from my living room... It's Saturday Night!!!

This weeks clip features John Belushi in the role made famous by Marlon Brando, Vito Corleone. It seems Tony Soprano is not the first mob boss to go to counseling... hilarious, a true comedic genius. He died way to soon. Hope you guys enjoy the throwback. Live, from my Living Room, it's Saturday Night!!!!!

This weeks clip features Mad Men's Jon Hamm and singer Michael Buble as partners in a new restaurant. They are not playing characters in the sketch, they are playing themselves... and they are promoting their all new ham and champagne restaurant, "Hamm and Buble". Everthing seems normal between the two celebs, until Hamm walks of camera and Buble makes a cry for rescue. Absolutely hysterical, this is why I love Saturday Night Live. They take two guys who are not known for comedy and come up with an exciting way to make them funny... and they do it seemlessly. Hamm is great, and I recommend you watching this whole episode on Hulu because he was a great host. Enjoy the clip. Live from my livingroom, it's Saturday Night!!!

OHC of the Day: Heather Morris
OHC stands for Obscure Hot Chick of the day... just another beautiful actress that you may or may not know as of yet... but we are sure you will soon. You might know her as the quick tongued, yet dumb as a box of hammers, Brittany from TV's 'GLEE' or you may have never seen her in your life but, I assure you, you've never seen her like this. Yowza's!She was a contestant on Season 2 of 'So You Think You Can Dance' and her Glee Wiki also says: "She toured the world with Beyoncé in 2007-08 and, after that, decided to expand into acting. She started taking acting lessons while continuing to do dance jobs, the most prominent of which was debuting "Single Ladies" with Beyoncé on shows like "Saturday Night Live," "Today" and the American Music Awards. Beyoncé asked Heather to come back on tour, but she declined, still determined to become a full-time actress. The move paid off: Heather was hired to teach the "Single Ladies" dance to the cast of "Glee." The producers liked her so much that they hired her to become the cheerleader Brittany." I say good job producers! I'd like to produce something with her as well. Take a look...
