What If Albert Hitchcock Had Made Superhero Movies?

Artist Alberto Muriel is now the regular artist over at Propeller, and boy can the guy bring the funk. In order to celebrate his ascension to his new position, he has released four very cool photos of restructure key scenes from Alfred Hitchcock films to feature Comic Book Characters in the key roles. My favorite is the Green Lantern/Sinestro infused North by Northwest. You can check out all four after the jump... they are fantastic....

'White Man's Birden' by Fro Design

There are not many people who like Minimalistic art much more than I do. Take a simple idea and make it interesting... yup, I'll take that over floating heads and 'splosions that seem to be populating posters these days. Take 'White Man's Birden', a minimalistic homage poster for Hitchcock's classic film 'The Birds' that was made for the Gallery 1988 Hitchcock show by Fro Designs. This one is for sale over at the Fro Design website for 50.00 bucks, which may seem steep but seems reasonable after considering they are only making 15 of them! Check out the poster after the jump....

The "Angry" Birds by Zero Lives

Check out this really cool mashup of Alfred Hitchcock's horror masterpiece 'The Birds' and everyones favorite phone video game Angry Birds... this just works so well:

Poster done by Zero Lives... I love the tagline "It's A Bad Day to Wear Green". Awesome!

The Psycho Shower Scene Revisited By Nathan Preston

This cool rotoscoped reenactment of the famous Alfred Hitchcock Psycho shower murder scene was done by Nathan Preston and made its way over to us via friend of CCD (and soon to be contributor...) Bianca Sunshyne on our Facebook page. Its a really cool piece and the accompanying music is done by Meursault. Thanks for the tip Bianca... now get that first column ready!!!
