'Required Reading 2013' Art Show at Gallery 1988

If there is one thing I love perusing on the Internet it has to be all of the art shows that galleries around the country are having... specifically the pop culture themed shows that galleries are having. The fact that post the works on the Net means that no matter how far away the gallery may be and despite the fact that I don't get to see works in person I still have access to them. The themes of the shows may vary, but no matter what the pieces always excite me. Gallery 1988 is one of the bets in the biz... but even they are always looking to up the ante on a upcoming shows theme. So for one of their most recent shows, 'Required Reading 2013', they decided to get away from pop culture movies, TV and comics and delve into the world of classic literature. A bold and interesting move that I was sure would generate some killer pieces. The show is running at Gallery 1988 West from December 6th through the 22nd. You can buy prints of pieces by clicking here, and see my personal faves after the jump...
