A to Z Blogger Challenge 2013: Day 5 - E Is For Elf

As we finish up the first week of the 2013 A to Z blogger challenge, I look back and I am extremely happy with how things are going so far. First of all I am finding some awesome blogs that are participating in the challenge, and there are some great ones. But I am also happy with the way my topic has gone. For those of you just joining in progress, I am taking the letter of the day from the challenge (today is E) and picking a movie with that letter. Than I highlight a beautiful actress from that movie with a picture montage. Today is E, and I am going with Elf. Elf was a quirky movie from Jon Favreau and stars Will Ferrell in one of his best roles, and it has become a culture phenomenon. It also sports a very young and fresh faced Zooey Deschanel, who happens to be my second biggest celebrity crush (nobody tops Scarlett Johansson to me) in the game. She is sporting a blonde hairdo in this one, not my fave. I like her much better with the dark hair/light eyes combo we all know her for, but she is gorgeous none the less. So there you go... Proof That Their Is A God: The 2013 Golden Globes Edition

So I am finally getting around to viewing the 2013 Golden Globes today (a few days later... I'm busy ya'll!!!), but thanks to my trusty Google Images search I am able to see the bevy of sexy ladies who studded the entrance to the precursor to the Oscars. There were some real hot dresses, some sexy hairstyles, and lots & lots of jewelry... big, big jewelry!!! Who was the hottest of the night? Well, I'll just say that all the following ladies were looking great... but they are in alphabetical order and I am going with the letter Z and saving the best for last!!!! That's It.... Now I'm Definitely In For The Spiderman Reboot!!!

When they said Marc (500 Days of Summer) Webb was going to direct the Spiderman reboot, I was mildly interested in the choice. Then Andrew Garfield was picked to be ole Webhead himself, and that interested me a bit more. Then we got Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy... and the eyebrows were starting to get that excited look. Rhys Ifans as The Lizard meant no more Green Goblin as the villain. That was great news. Then Martin Sheen and Sally Field as Uncle Ben & Aunt May. I was starting to become content with the direction of this feature. Then this... holy shit, there is a god. Goodness gracious, how can such a small character such as Betty Brant make any difference at all in this movie? Who the hell is Betty Brant? Well, here you go.

Betty Brant is a secretary at The Daily Bugle, and she was portrayed in the Sam Raimi Spiderman trilogy by the lovely Elizabeth Banks. She is spunky, quick witted, and holds her own against J. Jonah Jameson while mildly flirting with Peter Parker... and she is rumored to about to be played by... wait for it.... wait for it.... CCD's current favorite actress, the hotness that is Zooey Deschanel!!!!!!!!!!!

That's my heart right there....

Good Lawd!!!! Even if she is only in the film for a few minutes, this instantly becomes a better movie and a must see for me. Sure, say what you will... I swear I am not pandering cause I love me some Zooey. She is super talented, and gorgeous, and you know what else... this is my god damn blog, so if I wanna gush about Zooey D, then I will!!! If you don't like it, you can go read some other blog.... er, um... what I meant to say was, be ready for another knockout performance by the knockout we love to love. See you next year Zooey. Marc Webb should be nominated for man of the F'n year!!!!!
