The Super Awesome Cool Newest Pacific Rim Trailer

For the first time we are getting and extended look at all various Yaegers in action as they beat down some alien monster scum. If the final scene set in the middle of a lighted city doesn't make you wet your pants a little then you are a too jaded a movie fan, my friend. How can you not love watching a giant robot dragging a ten ton boat behind it. WOW. Pacific Rim will be what Transformers could only dream of being. Indris Elba's speech in the middle of this trailer is particularly inspiring. I know if he asked me I would sign up to drive one of these robot beauties.

'The World's End' Gets New Posters... And I Am getting More Excited By The Day!!!!

I am eagerly anticipating the release of the latest Nick Frost/Simon Pegg/Edgar Wright collaboration... literally gonna be one of the best moments of my cinematic summer. But I am getting even more excited when I see the newest promotional materials being issued for the movie. I am getting a very spacey, galactic feel to these pics... and that plays into the alien twist that has been rumored to plague the protagonists, who are on a quest to complete a 12 bar pub crawl that they had failed on when they were younger. With Frost & Pegg leading the charge and Wright behind the camera, I am in. These guys never disappointed me before... why think different now? Check out the new posters after the jump...

New CinemaCon Footage Of 'The Wolverine'

I think this will be one of the sweetest rides of the summer. Great story combined with the finest action adventure effects the movies can create these days. The location is fresh and makes Logan the outsider - the position that he is most comfortable fighting back from. I like that Yukio has a large part in this film as she did in the original mini-series - which is something else that you should check out before July 12th.

Really looking forward to this movie. Cal sent over this brand new poster and newly cut trailer to help us quell the anticipation of the biggest movie that is coming out this summer. Mike D's Top Ten Most Anticipated Movies Of Summer 2013

So... it seems to have been that time of the year again. The summer movie season is set to open this year with Iron Man 3 on May 3rd. A per usual, there are an obscene amount of tentpole flicks (The Lone Ranger, World War Z, etc), sequels (Iron Man 3, Kick Ass 2, The Hangover 3,etc) and animated fare (Despicable Me 2, Monsters U, Turbo, etc). So once again I know I will be really busy at the theater for the next four months. But I decided to highlight ten movies that I really am anticipating... all original works, all first cracks at a movie lover like myself. Sure, I will be there for Iron Man, Hangover, etc.... but these are the ones that I am really looking forward to. Lets see how it all plays out in September... check out my list after the jump...

R.I.P.D. Gets A Trailer... Summer Movie Season Is On The Way!!!!

As I sit here and work on my Top Ten Most Anticipated Movies of The Summer 2013 I am finding myself hard to narrow down the list. With over 100 films opening between May & August, its hard to get to 10. But R.I.P.D. is one that has just narrowly missed the list. I own the original comic that this one is based on, and I certainly love me some Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. Plus you can't really get a better concept than Men In Black vs Ghosts instead of Aliens. This one looks like a fun summer popcorn flick, has actors I really like, and the always sexy Mary Louise Parker being her sassy self. June 19th I will be in the building. Kick Ass 2 - Character Posters

One of the coolest parts of Mark Millar's classic comic series Kick Ass 2 has to be the names that he gave some of the newer (and even some of the older) characters. After the events of Kick Ass, other people begin to get the idea to start dressing up and fighting crime. So there are a shit-ton of new heroes that have some insane names, like Night Bitch and Doctor Gravity. The original bad guy, Red Mist, also returns with his own super team of villains named The Toxic Mega Cunts... and renames himself The Motherfucker. Crazy ass names for some crazy ass characters... and now they have some character posters to go along with them! This is easily becoming one of my most anticipated movies of the Summer 2013.
