Trailers for TV Shows & Movies come out everyday, but rarely do three come out in one day that are SO different and appealing to me all at once. This happened yesterday, so I figured it would make a great post since the project were all so different. First up, we have David Cronenberg's newest flick Cosmopolis trailer,. You get a post Twilight Robert Pattinson in a film adaption WRITTEN by Cronenberg himself (he hasn't written his last few films, and while they are good they haven't been his signature weird style). This one looks completely bizarre, and I am really interested to see it considering all the hype surrounding Cronenberg's last film "A Dangerous Method". The second trailer is from Stephanie Meyer's OTHER novel (she wrote the Twilight series) The Host. Considering the amount of fans she has and the fact that The Host sold very well in it's own right, this movie should do well. But when you add Saoirse Ronan (Hannah, The Lovely Bones) as the lead role, you get my attention instantly (I love this kid!). This one looks cool (plus I read the book and it was pretty good...really creepy). Finally, we get a sneak peak at season 2 of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes from Cartoon Network!!! This is by far one of THE BEST cartoons made in the last 10 years, and I can't wait to see what is in store for the gang. Plus, you gotta love that this incarnation of The Avengers includes Wasp & Giant Man. How could they leave these two out of the movie? Grrrr... c'mon Marvel!!! Plus if you watch the trailer, you can see: Ms. Marvel, The Fantastic Four, Skrulls, Scarlet Witch, The Vision. and Red Hulk just to name a few... Wow!!! Enjoy all three clips after the jump, and tell me what you think in the comment section below...

Um, It's Called An "Adaption"... WTF Is The Big Deal???
According to the report, the major contenders for Tetsuo are Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield, and James McAvoy, while Kaneda will most likely be played by Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake, or Joaquin Phoenix.
Guess what? This is an AMERICAN version of the anime. AMERICAN. Why can't we have white guys playing the part? The locale is being moved to NYC... so isn't it logical that their would be White Americans there? Now if the movie was going to be based in Japan... well then I would see the "Nerd's of the 'Net" point of view. But if it's in America.... WTF? How bout the fact that the above list has no Black or Spanish actors on it? Nobody is saying that shit, right? Better yet, what if they talked about Jaden Smith in the lead role... would anybody be complaining about a "Black Washing" of the part? I doubt it... because everyone out there is scared to say it. Or what about the fact that if they go with any of those 30+ years old actors that they would be making a totally different film... that is not "Aging the Film Up", that is "Completly Changing the Whole Fucking Storyline!".

Slow Down Les, Ya Killing 'Em
When I heard that Les Grossman (Tom Cruise), super producer, would be producing the MTV Awards... well, lets just say I thought that he would get in on the act to say the least. Les isn't the type of executive to sit back and allow some panzy ass stars to ruin his big show with childish behavior and sub-par performances. Grossman was sure to intervene. And watching the show last night, you knew it was coming.
First, we get a first hand look to into a pitch meeting with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner about a new buddy police action flick they should do. Grossman is joined by trusty #2 Bill Hader as he tries to show the Twilight stars which direction their careers should take. Next, we see Les bum rush the stage while Hangover stars Ed Healms and Ken Jeong performed "The Tiger Song" dressed as a cloud and tiger, respectively. Grossman ain't going for it... so he jumps on the stage (a fucking trampoline?!?) and uses guests Ludacris and J-Lo to make it happen!!! Two great clips from a mega star like Tom Cruise having fun and playing a character that the fans love. All too often stars shun the roles that fans love them in... I'm glad that although he may be crazy, Cruise is smart enough to realize the crowd can not get enough. Enjoy the clips.
