I have been tracking the progress of John Dies In The End for a long time. The story for this movie started way back in the early 2000s as a web serial that was posted online for free. Author David Wong posted this crazy slapstick paranormal story for free online and then later received a real book deal to publish the story with additional materials. The story caught the eye of legendary horror master Don (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-Tep) Coscarelli and he decided to adapt the movie to film... and he grabbed a hell of a cast to do it. Paul Giammati & Clancy Brown? Yup, I can get with that. Then the film got picked up for VOD & theater distribution by Magnet Releasing, and I was completely sold. These guys just do indy film right, and I just knew that if they grabbed a hold of this film it would have to be pretty cool. Then they released this anti piracy PSA to discourage people from downloading John Dies In the End, and I think they better listen. This is pretty funny stuff, and makes me want to see the film even more. Looks like I know what my night is looking like. John Dies In The End is available right now on Video on Demand and is going to have a short theatrical run in February. Enjoy the clip after the jump...
