Even though I was a huge He-Man, G.I. Joe and Transformers fan growing up in the 80's, there was really only one cartoon that did it for me... Voltron!!! Voltron was such a fun show, and I couldn't get enough of it. The notion that 5 kids were controlling these robotic lions was so cool, and the super robot that the lions formed was insane. They fought crazy aliens, dealt with each others antics, and ended each episode with an epic robot battle where someone was gonna get a sword to the head. It was a ton of fun!!! I also had the die cast metal version of the Voltron robot, and those puppies weighed about 5 lbs each and could concuss a child if they were used as a weapon... Cool TV show, cool toys, and now some cool fan art featuring the big guy. Click after the jump to see JPRart's version of Voltron to take you back to the 80s...
