The CCD Podcast: Episode #52 - Wrestlers in the Movies or "What Do You Mean You Haven't Seen "The Marine Part 7"? What Are You Waiting For?"

Wrestling played a huge role in most nerds lives back in the 70s/80s/90s and is still really popular today. The WWF/WWE, WCW, NWA, ECW and other organizations all gave us some memorable characters to cheer and jeer over the years. But some of those performers were lucky enough to expand their careers beyond the squared circle and branch out into acting... well, lets just say that they were in some movies (not much ACTING really taking place in most of these roles!). Some are no brainers, like Hulk Hogan in Rocky 3 or Jesse Ventura in Predator. But what about some of the others through the years? Check out wrestling fanatics Jedi Rob, Joey Esq, and The Supershow creator Steve Resk as they go through some of the best (or worst?) roles that wrestlers filled through the years! Here Is Some Comic Book Movie News I Can Get Behind!!!

As a true geek I am eagerly anticipating as many comic book movies as humanly possible. I don't give a flying fuck about overkill... as far as I am concerned I have been waiting on quality made comic book movies my whole life. They just seemed to start getting them right around 2000 with X-Men, so I'll take as many as I can get my hands on. Given the fact that these films are making big bucks, it is refreshing to see studios putting together stellar casts to staff the films. Some recent announcements on the comic book movie front have me quite excited. Click after the jump to hear my thoughts on Captain America 2, Lobo, and Ant Man.

GI Joe: Retaliation Looks Like All Types Of Fun

I am one of the few people who actually saw the 1st GI Joe movie and actually liked it. I say that because there are a ton of people shit ton of people who bashed the movie and refused to watch it but yet still judged the movie like they new it stunk... in actuality I think a lot of people would be pleasantly surprised if they gave it a shot. Whether you saw it or not, a second Joe film is on the horizon and is due at the end of June during summer blockbuster season. Despite the fact that the guy directing it, Jon Chu, is the same guy who directed Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and Step Up 3-D... I can't believe I just typed that... this trailer looks fucking awesome!!! Click after the jump for the trailer and more...
