Check Out The Battle School Logos From The Upcoming 'Enders Game' Film Adaption!!!!

For a generation of sci-fi readers, Ender's Game is a life defining book. Anyone reading sci-fi in the 80s & 90's probably read the book, written by Orson Scott Card back in 1985. The book takes us to a future where the Earth is facing invasion from a alien species. Due to the long standing war between the two factions, the Earth has created Battle Schools to train the best and brightest teenagers on Planet Earth to be the future military leaders. The story focuses on Ender Wiggins, a youngster who is being scouted to attend Battle School. It focuses on his ups and downs, and just how brutal a school for military training can be for such a young child. The book has been rumored to be adapted to a film for over 20 years on and off, and now we are FINALLY getting the film from director Gavin Hood. Pictures are starting to roll of the set (the above pic features Butterfield and Stanfield), with Asa Butterfield (the star of the excellent Scorsese film Hugo) in the lead role. But yesterday they leaked the Battle School team logos, which is absolutely awesome! I have been waiting for these with baited breath, cause now I will finally get the Salamander t-shirt I have always wanted! I really did the Versace trim as well.These logos, and the four separate schools themselves, are easily identified as inspiration for a group of schools in a certain series about a teenage wizard which shall remain nameless (JK, you biter you!). The movie features a killer cast of young actors (Butterfield, Hallie Stanfield, Abigail Breslin) and older actors (Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley and Viola Davis), and will be in theaters November 1st to capitalize on the holiday movie season. Behind The Scenes From Back In The Day

I love getting a peek at the behind the scenes action that takes place on the set of a movie production. Whether it is a detailed book that tells the ins and outs of the set or simply a candid picture that catches the cast in a funny moment, it always brings a smile to my face. The Chive is a perpetually cool website, but they made themselves even cooler to me because of the set of over 40 set shots that they posted over on their page. There are some classic goofy moments (gotta love that Rocky Horror & Return of the Jedi pics), some cool moments when the director is in the shot, and even some simply beautiful quick shots like the Heath Ledger pic with his Joker scars. All Hail The Queen: Amazing Behind The Scene Photos From 'Aliens' Showing Stan Winston & His Team Making FX Magic...

Ever since the release of Prometheus a few months back we have seen an amazing renewal of interest in the Alien movie franchise. I would contend that this connection is made because people wanted to re-visit the older movies after watching the prequel movie (fuck you Jeff... Prometheus IS A FUCKING PREQUEL TO ALIEN!!!)... I know I certainly did, rewatching all four full length Alien movies after watching Prometheus in the theater. When interest in something is shown, a good property owner will put his merchandise into the market to be consumed by eager customers. Take the Stan Winston School of Character Arts and the plethora of unrerleased set phots they released of the master himself (Stan Winston) making movie magic by creating the Alien Queen for Aliens. It is one of the most terrifying creatures ever created, and when you see the massive 10 ft plus monster that Winston created... well, lets just say you will have some great insight into one of the greatest monsters ever to grace a screen. Spring Breakers is an upcoming movie starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Heather Morris, and Rachel Korrine. These young starlets are all on board to play sheltered college students who are ready to get down and dirty on Spring Break. This movie is not going to be cheerful & fun... it is gonna be gritty  & hood, and all you have to do is see James Franco as rapper Alien to see just how sick this movie may be. The third Narnia film, Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader, opens up today. Even though I read the books as a kid and I kinda liked them (not as much as LOTRor The Hobbit), I have to admit that I absolutely ADORE the first two movies in this series. I thought the fantasy world that was created in those movies is done wonderfully and is right up there with Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy. I know, thats alot of praise... but I mean it. I really think they are just as good. My son and I, as well as my girlfriend Tara, all hold a special place in our hearts for the first two films, and we will definetly be seeing this one over Christmas break.
