Everybody these days are on some Do It yourself kick, trying to create things themselves instead of buying them pre-fabricated. While I can admire good craftsmanship and hard work as much as the next guy, not every item in our life needs to be hand crafted. But the guys over at Garrison Creek Bat Co. are showing that specialty products are the prime target for DIY projects. The Canadian trio specializes in hand making baseball bats from scratch. They use classic equipment and great organic material to get their product the old time classic feel that lacks in factory manufactured products. But one of the coolest things that they do is participate in a Artist Series twice a year where artists take their awesome handmade bats and give them an artsy makeover... and the results are stunning. They then sell off the bats that are not bought the night of the gallery show online. These custom bats are dope, and a great way to bring attention to a small company doing things the old fashion way.
