We are on the cusp of this years San Diego Comic Con, and show exclusives from everyone involved are starting to crop up all in our Feedly feed. One of the coolest ones so far mashes up what will probably be 2 of the biggest comic book movies of 2014: Days of Future Past & Guardians of the Galaxy. Artist Mike Vasquez abandons his typical Adventure Time inspired creations to create a variant cover/poster that features everyone's favorite Raccoon in the role of Wolverine and the rest of the Guardians supporting cast on the posters behind him. He means business, and this is a great interpretation of the classic cover of issue X-Men #141. The piece was a combined effort creation between Vasquez and LogicFun (an artist from France who colored the piece). Vasquez also has some dope stickers featuring Groot, Star Lord Gamorra and Rocket (yeah, no Drax... weird), and a bunch of team Adventure Time inspired prints (Friday is Nintendo characters, Saturday is Guardians, and Sunday is Spidey & the Sinister 6) that are limited and only available at Vasquez's table. He also has a cool 35 page sketch book available for purchase. As someone who has followed Vasquez's art for a while, you will be blown away by both the look of the pieces as well as the quality of the prints. You can see more of Vasquez's work over at his Etsy & Deviant Art pages, and check out pics of everything from SDCC after the jump....

Adventure Time Monopoly
I am completely ODing on Adventure Time Season 1 on Netflix, so when I came across these cool ass sketches from artist Steve Wolfhard (the storyboard artists for Adventure Time) for game pieces for an AT Monoply set. He didn't even know that the actual game was going into production and then he found out that not only did it come out, but they used 5 of his token designs for the game. I love this show, and might have to grab this Monoply. If you really like AT as much as I do, subscribe to Wolfhard's blog because he always puts up tons of cool related art. Check out the original sketches after the jump...

Adventure Times Mash-ups by Mike Vazquez
Being that I am catching up on my back episodes of Adventure Time (pretty much the best cartoon created in the last 10 years), I am obsessed with Jake, Finn and everybody else on the show. But when I saw them cast in some of my other favorite pop culture properties like The Walking Dead and Star Wars in the mashup art of Mike Vazquez, I knew I just had to post about it. You can grab each of them over at Vazquez's Etsy shop for about 20 bucks a pop, and you can see much more of Vazquez's other awesome art over at his blog. Check out the two Star Wars mash-ups and the Walking Dead one as well after the jump....

Adventure Time by No Sleep Jinx
Cartoons nowadays don't have shit on the cartoons of the 80's... I'm not trying to be a curmudgeon or anything like that, but it is just true. The recent generation (post 2000) of cartoons have been lacking in originality and fun, but as in any case there are exceptions to the rule. Adventure Time with Finn & Jake happens to be one of those exceptions. It is a great show that has just started it's fourth season and hearkens back to the good ole days of 80's cartoon bliss. The animation is cool, the characters are fun, and it has just the right level of obnoxious humor and subliminal messaging that makes an adult feel OK about watching it. With over 100+ episodes in the books it is safe to say that Finn & Jake are going to be remembered for a long time. Check out artist Tara Billinger (NoSleepJinx on Deviant Art) as she takes on the crew, even including some of the extended characters from the show such as my personal fave The Ice King!!!!
