Mall Rats is one of my all time favorite movies and is the film that clinched Kevin Smith as one of my favorite filmmakers. I loved Clerks, but Mall Rats showed what Smith could do if he was given some money and real sets to make a movie. One of the funniest scenes to take place in the film has to be the schooner scene with the magic painting. Willam can't see the sailboat that is in the picture, and it is a running gag throughout the film until he loses his mind and wrecks the whole stand.... but what if there really was NO SAILBOAT in the picture in the first place?
