'Steven Moffat's Series Six Club Band' by Dave

Dean, who runs the awesome Simpson site Springfield Punx, posted this 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' inspired poster from Dave that features an eclectic mix of  characters from Series Six (from 2005-present) of the BBC's Dr. Who. Named Steven Moffat's 'Series Six Club Band' after the show's current creator, it's good to see the Doctor and all my faves in one place.

Spooky Springfield Punx Takes On The Ghostbusters

We all worship at the alter that is Springfiield Punx. Honestly, Dean is an amazing artists and his Simpson-ized renditions of all types of characters are so much fun to look at. Since its the 1st Annual All Horror Week here at CCD, I figured I would highlight these awesome Ghostbuster movie posters that Dean put together. Hope you enjoy.

This Ones For You, Joe Fletch!!!

This post goes out to my old friend and frequent CCD reader Joe "Fletch" Flesche... I was thinking of him all day today because he just recently joined Facebook (3 years to late!!!) and when I saw these crazy cool Street Fighter 2 Simpson-ized characters I had to post them for him. You see, Joe was the absolute kin g of Street Fighter 2 in the Fudruckers game room on Crossbay Blvd. when we were teenagers. He was so good that despite the fact there was only one SF2 game in the arcade, if he was on the machine most people would step back and wait for him to finish. It was a waste of money to try and defeat him. I fondly remember him playing with a character that I would pick for him, while I played my best character, and him waxing me over and over again. Anyway, thanks to the always on point Dean from Springfield Punx for once again repping the Simpsons crossovers better then anyone else on the web. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Gets The Springfield Punx Treatment

Despite the fact that Scott Pilgrim was the movie I most wanted to see this summer, due to certain scheduling conflicts I have been unable to see it as of yet (we are gonna change that real soon, right KMG?) Anyway, despite getting great reviews from the geek community (I don't want a 65 year old movie critics opinion on something clearly made for a niche group) the film is not performing well at the box office... it's a good thing nobody was hoping for a sequel to this one. Edgar Wright is one of my favorite directors and I am sure he did the Brian Lee O'malley original comic justice. Anyway, I digress. The lovely folks over at Total Film have gotten Dean from Springfield Punx to draw the characters from Scott Pilgrim up in his Simpsonized style... and it is freaking awesome. We have featured Dean's art before, and I'm sure we will again.
