Kraven the Duck Hunter by Brendan Tobin

Wow Brendan Tobin ... you are definitely an artist that gets the concept of a mashup. Not only do you get it, but you get it on another level. Tobin created a piece entitled 'Kraven the Duck Hunter', digitized it in all the 8 bit glory of the original Nintendo cartridge, and features everybodies favorite foul talking mallard Howard the Duck. I Always Knew That Dog Was Pure Evil - Duck Hunt IRL

I spent countless hours spring clicking the demise of helpless mallards in Duck Hunt for the NES. A simple game, but amazingly effective. How the hell did that gun thing work anyway? Apparently it will not work on the new flat panel TV's only on the old CRT models. A reason to keep those bad boys around. I still find myself learning new things about that game. Video Games vs. Real Life

You may have seen the original artwork of Aled Lewis gracing the chests of many Threadless.com tee shirts but, I came upon a few of these great works of his through various websites, tumblrs and blogspots and was amazed to find out they were attributed to the same artist. In these works, Lewis has transposed some of our favorite video game characters into existing real life web photos. Sometimes comedy ensues and all times the result is pretty damn cool.
