Wow... it's about time!!!! One of my favorite childhood TV shows is finally getting a box set, and it can't be soon enough! 'Monsters' aired back in the late 80's (88-91) and ran for three seasons ...to a total of 72 episodes. It was conceived in the vein of 'The Twilight Zone' & 'Tales From The Darkside', which it shared a producer with. The show was a week-to-week, self-contained horror fest that featured original stories as well as adaptions from great horror writers such a Stephen King and Robert Bloch. And it also featured a bunch of young actors BEFORE they were famous, such as Steve Buschemi, Tony Shaloub and Gina Gershon. It also featured one of the best introduction scenes in the history of TV... and if you don't remember it, check it out after the jump! Now the show is finally going to get the box set treatment, coming at the end of Feb 2014. I, for one, will be buying this one. I can't wait to share these scares with my 10 year old son.... I was his age when the show aired ...and I loved it. So I am interested to see if he likes it. Check out some clips after the jump...

The Muppets Take On The Hunger Games To Promote Their DVD/Blu Ray Release
The Muppets have had a really big year, and it is about to get bigger with the DVD/Blu Ray release of the new Muppet movie on March 20th. Living up to the tradition that was set when promoting the movie last fall, a new spoof commercial has been constructed to hype the release in the vein of the upcoming 'Hunger Games' blockbuster movie. This one is pretty funny as well, and it gets the crowd ready for another heaping handful of Muppet action. Enjoy the clip after the jump...

More Proof That George Lucas Is A Douche...
Even though CCD was still on Summer break this past week, I received tons of emails from friends and associates wanting to know my opinion on even more announced changes to the original films by George Lucas when the new Blu ray versions of the entire saga came out. Given our past tumultuous relationship with Georgie Boy and the scummers over at Lucas Arts, I abstained from commenting about this latest ass fuck courtesy of Lord George to all his loyal fans. But I have uncovered an article on the 'Net that is sure to make you even more mad at Uncle George... (Continued after the jump)
Marvel Tightens Up Their Back Stories With Short Clips To Be Featured On Upcoming DVD's
I truly like the strategy that Marvel has employed weaving together the world that will be on display in next summers blockbuster film 'The Avengers'. The after-the-credit vignettes have done a wonderful job getting us ready for what would happen next on the laundry list of films that had to come first to properly set up 'The Avengers'. Prepare Yourself For The One Of The Most Disturbing Movie Of All Time
Yup, you just saw that.... a bus with downe syndrome patients just got re-routed to a tranny strip club by a Mexican greaser pimp that made them do coke of a switchblade.... and then a guy gets mugged after he was stabbed by a cripple with underdeveloped legs. Yup, I am copping this one!!! I'll let you know just how sick it is. Like Jay-Z said "I told you watch crazy movies... No, Mike D did that, so hopefully you won't have to go through that!!!". See you soon...
