The 25th Anniversary Super Mario Bros Chuck Taylors: Round 2!!!

A few months back we brought you pics of the 25th anniversary Super Mario Bros Chuck Taylor sneakers to be released by Converse in July. Albotas has some new pics of additional models featuring actual gameplay, and these may be even cooler then the first ones. To the pics:

These kicks are action packed, with the blue ones featuring world 1-1 and the black ones featuring the infamous dungeon scenes where Mario battles King Koopa. These even fold down to reveal some cool cut scenes. These will probably be out in July as well. What do you think? Would you cop these? I know I am definitely getting a pair of these for my son Mikey. He may be 8.... but that cat is old school!

According to the fellas over at Albotas (a very cool site, mind you) these are the upcoming 25th anniversary Super Mario Brothers Chuck Taylor Converse. First the pic:

Now for the info. These are supposedly dropping in July, so make sure you get a pair wherever they sell Converse in your area. I might even have to cop the black ones... they got the "Mario Invincibility Star" on the logo!!! That's an auto-cop, no? Tell me what you think in the comment section below.

Commercially Acclaimed Vol#11 - Converse ft Kid Cudi, Vampire Weekend, & Best Coast - All Summer

TV commercials are a part of our everyday lives as TV viewers. Even though Tivo and DVR have allowed us to "skip through" the commercials, the advertising companies a still trying to peak our interests by coming up with creative commercials. To me, great commercials are an art form and are under appreciated by a society that is always trying to speed through things. Think about it... how many times did you see a great commercial that made you laugh hysterically or want to go out and purchase the advertised product??? And how many times has the best part of the Super Bowl been the commercials during a blow out game??? Whether you want to admit it or not, commercials are cool as shit... and here are some of my favorites.

Todays entry comes from Converse and rapper Kid Cudi. Cudi is joined by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij and Bethany Cosentino of the group Best Coast chilling out together in a studio/ apartment. This is all fine and good, but its the big head paper meche masks that make it so cool. The song is called "All Summer" and I have included the 30 second commercial and the full length music video as well. These are three quality musicians coming together to collabo on something that sounds and looks great. I'm digging the song for sure. Epic win as far as I'm concerned.... enjoy the clips.
