"Tall guys, weird clothes... First you see him, then you don't"... Yup, good old Jack Burton. One of the bets characters in one of the best movies you never expected to be great. So much fun, John Carpenter's 'Big Trouble In Little China' is a really great Sci-Fi/Horror/Action romp that has carved out a niche in the movie world that lots of people love. So when I hear that Funko Pop vinyl toys is bringing out 6 figures this February honoring some of the characters, I was head over heels... and here is why! Even 25+ years later, the movie finds a home through the characters. I am also currently reading the comic series from Boom! Studios that continues the movies story, and the reason I am really happy for this line is that after they get these main characters out of the way they can come out with a series 2 featuring all the freaky monsters of the film! You hear me Funko.... get cracking, I need that wild bear monster now! Check out which five characters joined Jack on the Pork Chop Express from Funko, a perfect post Christmas gift for any Carpenter fanatic....

The Best of Kurt Russel By Chris Weston
Kurt Russel is basically the bad ass of all 80's bad asses. Sure Sly, Arnold, and Bruce Willis all had their defining moments during the decade... but in truth they can't hold a candle to Kurt in his holy trilogy of bad assdom: The Thing, Escape From NY, and Big Trouble in Little China! UK Artist Chris Weston decided to give little homage to these classic roles of Russell, and boy did they come out great. Check all three of them out after the jump... and make sure you check out Weston's site by clicking here and seeing all the great stuff he has done. Enjoy...

Lo Pan Style... Lo, Lo, Lo... Lo Pan Style!!!
Big Trouble In Little China is not usually considered to be a horror movie... but in my personal opinion it should be. There are a few reasons why I think this is so. First off, the director of the film is Master of Horror himself John Carpenter. That gives it automatic horror cred, even if there is no Captain Kirk mask wearing psycho with a butcher knife. But once you delve into the film itself, you find many examples of horror. Ancient Chinese demons? Check. Mythological weather warriors named Thunder, Rain, and Lightening? Check. The Chinese Wild Man Yeti creature that is there to take on Jack Burton at the Wing Kong Exchange? Double Check. The flying Head of Eyes monster that provides Lo Pan with a view of anything it sees? Yup. And finally Lo Pan himself, all 2,000 years of him? Well, if those aren't enough monsters to make this a horror movie, than I don't know what it is! Anyway, now that we qualified this as a horror flick and justified its inclusion here on All Horror Week, lets move on to the best Gangnam Style parody ever made. Yup... Lo Pan style!!! This is so well done, including a cameo by the original Lo Pan himself (James Hong) and a musical interlude with Jack Burton himself... wow, let the children of the 80s rejoice! Check the video out after the jump....

Big Trouble by Lorenzo Ceccotti
Big Trouble In Little China may very well be one of the most bad ass movies ever made. I love Kurt Russell and all the ass kicking his character Jack Burton does against the forces of Chinese evil that he faces. So when I caught a glimpse of Italian artist Lorenzo Coccetti's take on the classic films poster, I had to share it with all of you guys. If this wouldn't make you want to watch this movie, I don't know what will. Check the full poster out after the jump...
